Recap of the Year 2025

[p]Hello dear community,[/p][p]the year 2025 is slowly coming to an end, which makes it the perfect time to look back on what has been an exciting and eventful year.[/p][p]It all began in spring 2025 with the release of SubwaySim 2. To celebrate, we hosted a large release event supported by BVG, who even provided an HK train for a special ride – a truly unique highlight.[/p][p]At the Berlin U-Bahn Museum, we also offered several hands-on demo stations where visitors could try the game before its official release. We were supported by the U-Bahn Sim Berlin team, who provided a modified A3L82 driver’s desk, allowing players to experience SubwaySim 2 in a very authentic way.[/p][p]After the release, we were overwhelmed by how well the game was received by you. Your positive feedback confirmed that we were heading in the right direction with our idea. Shortly afterward, the first updates and patches followed, bringing numerous improvements – many of them directly based on community feedback. We are incredibly thankful for that.[/p][p]At the same time, another exciting project closely connected to SubwaySim 2 was taking shape: the driver’s desk at the Berlin U-Bahn Museum. We were able to successfully support the U-Bahn Sim Berlin team and are very proud of the results of this great collaboration.[/p][p]One of the biggest highlights of the year was the update 6, which introduced major changes. Among other things, the entire lighting system was overhauled at the request of the community, all Berlin tunnel sections were rebuilt, and many major bugs were fixed.[/p][p]As the year progressed, we shared more and more information about the AL1 battery locomotive. The DLC was eagerly awaited by many of you, and we admit: it was a long and challenging journey until release.[/p][p]During this phase, we had to overcome several technical hurdles, including the development of a line-of-sight driving system as well as the integration of a smart system for dynamic construction sites along the route. In the end, we successfully mastered these challenges and were able to deliver a well-rounded AL1 DLC.[/p][p]The major highlight toward the end of the year was the release of the AL1 Battery Locomotive DLC in November. After such a long development period, it was a great joy for us to finally complete this exciting project.[/p][p]As you can see, 2025 was packed with news, new features, and exciting content. To close out the year, we simply want to say thank you: thank you to our amazing community for the active discussions, sharing content, creating new content, and providing valuable feedback. You are helping SubwaySim 2 grow in a way that truly inspires us.[/p][p]We are already looking forward to bringing you many exciting new features and content in 2026.[/p][p]With that said, we wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and we’ll see you again in 2026, full of energy.[/p][p]Yours sincerely,
