Triarchy - Puzzles & Flux Crafting: Weekend Playtest & Game Update

[p]This weekend we're testing a variety of new systems, and changes based on feedback from our earlier playtests. A big thank you to everybody who provided feedback for us, it's been really helpful to see what you love, and what needs more work to get where it needs to be.[/p][p][/p][h3]How To Join the Playtest[/h3][p]To be included in Steam playtests:[/p][p]We're ramping up our testing waves now, so more of you can give it a Try-archy (sorry...)[/p][p][/p][h3]Improved Building[/h3][p][/p][p]We've made numerous improvements to the building system, based on watching what you wanted to build, and how you figured things out. The UI's and controls have been completely revamped, and we've added:[/p]
  • [p]More building categories to make finding things easier.[/p]
  • [p]New decorative recipes around the world, hidden among chests and secret places.[/p]
  • [p]Your ship to the main menu, of course![/p]
[p]Build the ship of your dreams - and then let us know what was easy or hard about doing that, so we can further refine the building![/p][p][/p][h3]Flux Crafting[/h3][p]Nighttime mechanics continue to be expanded - enemies now drop fluxes, but only at night. In this first area of the game, creatures drop Lunar Flux. Use this in the new Flux Crucible (buildable on your ship) to apply a wide range of powerful upgrades to your weapons and armor.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Patch Notes (Other)[/h3]
  • [p]Added a mysterious puzzle, hidden in the heart of an island with no master.[/p]
  • [p]Crafting system and rewards have been overhauled.[/p]
  • [p]Quests have been updated and some new ones have been added.[/p]
  • [p]Rum is now more important than potions for the Pirates, as it should be![/p]
  • [p]A new NPC has been added to find.[/p]
  • [p]Added some new items to find.[/p]
  • [p]Journal massively improved.[/p]
  • [p]Several improvements to tree chopping - including targeting and sounds.[/p]
  • [p]Added harvestable plants for plant fibre.[/p]
  • [p]Nighttime radiance gain is now 50% (was 0).[/p]
  • [p]You can now hide armor pieces if they cramp your style too much.[/p]
  • [p]Added camera shake strength for those who get motion sick.[/p]
  • [p]Improved super wide screen support.[/p]
[p][/p][h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]Radiance is no longer removed when you're knocked down and then revived.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted built stairs to make them easier to climb.[/p]
  • [p]Crafted burlap and twine adds correctly to existing stacks of these items.[/p]
  • [p]Some enemy respawns have been adjusted, especially around sleeping areas on various islands.[/p]
  • [p]Lucian's chest now drops a unique item, and he is re-summonable.[/p]
  • [p]Stopped you cheeky blighters from using the building edit commands to edit away the brokenness of the first ship. We see you…[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the VFX for Crustaloc's puffer fish attack.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed fish traps not destroying properly after being harvested.[/p]
