Development Update #1: UI and Social Media
Hey everyone, Lina here!
It's been a whole month already since Episode 1 was successfully funded and our last update, but don't worry, we're not dead yet! We spent the last two weeks of October giving the team a well deserved break, and on November 4th we all got right back to work.
Let's see what's new, shall we?

Graphic design is, genuinely, one of the most difficult parts of creating a game. It takes such a unique blend of artistic and technical skills to create good menus for video games, especially considering how when designed well they go largely unnoticed.
…I say all of that just to preface how GyleToTheRescue, our Motion Graphic Designer, makes it look easy.

These beautifully smooth and stylized Pause Menus hearken back to manga and advertising of the 1980s, making all of the settings and info you'll need easily accessible and visually striking!
We hope you'll all enjoy this eye-candy as we continue pushing forward. Given how much of our current workload is backend or spoilery, we're a little dry on things we can showcase for this month, but hope to have more in a few weeks!

Quite a bit has happened outside the confines of game development in the last few weeks, as I'm sure many of you are aware.
Just to cut to the chase, we're phasing out our activities on Ex-Twitter and have already begun shifting our social media presence to Bluesky.

You can follow us there using the button above, and, we've even prepared a Starter Pack with our dev team + collaborators!
In addition, something we've been asked a lot is how to support us further now with the Kickstarter concluded. Our answer to that is Ko-fi!

For those uninitiated, Ko-fi is a platform very similar to Patreon except way less predatory. It allows us to both take one-time donations and offer recurring monthly Memberships, meaning that if someone wants to help us out, they can in whatever capacity they prefer.
Donations and Memberships on our Ko-fi support our team directly instead of going into Kumitantei’s development, so Kickstarter Backer rewards will not be offered through the platform.

I know we've said this a lot, but we mean it so sincerely: Thank you, everyone, for every ounce of faith and support you've given us. We're so honoured to have such a dedicated and tight-knit community.
As I said, this update is a little light due to the circumstances, but now we're locked in and making sure the next one’s more bountiful. See you then!
