Demo Update Soon& Excited to Join the 2025 Steam Lunar New Year Sale

Hey everyone!
There is a new update coming out soon for CleanFall's demo.

Here are some of the main changes:

  • 8 new weapons

  • turrets now cling to each other and dynamically fall when dirt is mined out from under them.

  • There are new floaties that turrets can attach themselves to. This means players can build makeshift hot air balloons of mass destruction.

  • Balance fixes for Corpse hunters and night scaling.

  • New effect for when Alphas can hear you mine.

  • The bridge can now be broken.

  • New "Boom Spores"

  • New "Recycle Turret"

  • The Snail shop has some new items, and the loot tables have been rebalanced to not show duplicate items.

  • Many bug fixes

🎃 CleanFall's Public Demo Now Available for Steam Scream Fest 2024! 🎃

Hey everyone! I'm super happy to announce that CleanFall will be part of Steam Scream Fest 2024! And the public demo is now live on Steam.

🆕 What’s New:
  1. New Tools: Blinker F-tool, Grappling Hook
  2. New Turrets: Frog Turret, Acid Turret
  3. Gameplay Enhancements: Eye spotlights block mining, 10 new perks
  4. New Enemy: Corpse Hunter in the Blood Biome
  5. Dynamic Jungle: More scalable and evolving for enhanced survival
  6. Add Japanese Support


🐞 Bug Fixes
  1. Centipede nests no longer spawn inside dirt with no tunnel.
  2. Bushes now slightly fade when you are behind them.
  3. The life HUD element now has a label.
  4. Fixed a bug that would cause An0 to scuttle her legs when walking forward when respawning or starting a new game.
  5. The Pulse rifle is now called “Vacuum Sweeper”.
  6. Fixed an issue with the chapter sign in Simplified Chinese.
  7. Hub area anti-gravity machine now says “E to use”
  8. Fixed bug where pausing on perk screen caused game to resume while selecting perk.
  9. Slightly altered clearer’s visuals and gave it new audio.
  10. Fixed a bug that caused the starter perk machine to break if clicked too quickly.
  11. Intro text in Simplified Chinese uses the proper word for paperclip now.
  12. Slightly altered the beginning of the tutorial to help understand the Vacuum’s primary fire uses.
  13. Improved Surface drone blocking abilities.
  14. Pathfinder cooldown is 4 times shorter in tutorial.
  15. Hornet hives no longer randomly fall.
  16. Crafters can no longer spawn on top of one another.
  17. Pathfinder will alert players when it has been ready for 30 seconds without use.
  18. Game no longer prompts you to use pathfinder on green stone.
  19. Pathfinder plays sound effects when canceled.
  20. Mortars are now categorized as turrets.
  21. The game will now run when unfocused.
  22. Fixed a bug that caused Huft biome lights to turn back on after dying when morning arrives.
  23. Sound and music volumes now save when quitting and starting the game.
  24. Fixed a bug that caused armor visuals to disappear despite still having some armor.
  25. Obelisks no longer play their use sound when they are out of uses.
  26. Obelisks no longer say press e to use after being used.
  27. Hornets no longer dash through the shop and other solid objects.
  28. Fixed formatting issue with simplified and traditional Chinese on first tutorial sign.
  29. Chests no longer spawn inside the bridge.
  30. Velocity blade no longer hurts drones.
  31. You can no longer clip yourself into turrets by placing them on yourself.
  32. Fixed a bug that caused strange visuals when switching F-tools in the Hub.
  33. Slightly edited Red Pit collider
  34. Chests now drop loot when player's inventory is full
  35. Lives no longer require a free inventory slot to pick up.
  36. Turrets now properly target Red Pits.
  37. Player can no longer wall jump off of flames
  38. Birds now stop singing when they player reaches the blood biome.
  39. Fixed visuals in HUB area
  40. Lives now make a noise when picked up.
  41. Frogs no longer stretch and clip into terrain.
  42. Frogs are now enraged by all player sources of damage.
  43. Autopusher no longer gets stuck on red pits
  44. Huft Biome background no longer extends into central abyss
  45. The game now saves which starter perk you have selected
  46. Fixed a bug that caused some audio to be very quiet.
  47. Fixed a bug that caused the game to not listen to player controls when mousing over any UI element.
  48. Fixed Starter perk selection UI.
  49. Fixed a bug that caused dialogue audio to sometimes make clicking noises.
  50. New cursor icon.
  51. Fixed Pathfinder laser visuals.
  52. Players can now self-destruct from the pause menu.
  53. Fireflies now make noise when they get scared.


⚖️ Balance Changes:
  1. The showdown horde now comes after 30 seconds instead of 60 seconds.
  2. Clearer energy cost increased, but cooldown slightly decreased.
  3. Clearer now deals damage which scales with size.
  4. Clearer push range now scales with its mining range.
  5. Mole mode perk: Pathfinder cooldown slowed by 30% instead of 60%.
  6. You can now mine through green stone and bone blocks slowly.
  7. Pathfinder now makes a noise when it is ready.
  8. Player now maintains velocity when midair. This is a large change that should help with movement with the pulse rifle and grappling hook.
  9. Red Pits health reduced to 20 (was 30).
  10. Pulse rifle horizontal strength slightly reduced to account for new physics.
  11. Turret Lobber now costs 18 energy per shot instead of 15.
  12. Alphas can be pushed more easily with knock back
  13. Slightly increased thumper fire rate
  14. Minigun Turret now retargets a new enemy if the current target dies.
  15. Minigun turret reduced damage to 1 (was 2).
  16. Dragons now drop walls.
  17. The world’s time now shifts dynamically depending on how quickly the player is advancing the game.

Demo Closing Soon!

Hello everyone!

Thank you to everyone who tried the Cleanfall demo! We’ll be taking it down temporarily tomorrow. We're grateful for all your feedback and we will be working hard to make the Cleanfall the best possible game it can be. The demo will be re-opened sometime in October after we make some major improvements.

We are beyond grateful for your incredible support and thrilled to see CleanFall demo has landed on the New & Trending list on the Steam Homepage with your efforts!


In today’s update, we’ve made several improvements and fixes to enhance your experience:

Various Minor Chinese Version Tweaks: We've refined the Chinese localization to ensure a smoother experience.

Temporary Fix for Potential Freezing During Generation: Please avoid pressing buttons during generation to prevent any unintended issues.

Drones Issue: Drones no longer detonate landmines.

Bridge Clip Issue : The bridge no longer allows the player to clip into it while in ghost form

Added Wishlist Button: Now you can easily add CleanFall to your Steam Wishlist with just a click!

Public Demo Now Available until August 6th!

Hello everyone! This last month has been filled with tedious bug fixes, tweaks to the game's balance, and a shiny new Chinese translation of the game. With this last month of work, the game's public demo is now ready to be played! Please note: the public demo until August 6th,2024!

for those who are interested, here's a list of all the various changes and fixes in patch 0.6.2.2:

[h2]Balance Changes[/h2]
  • Guardian drone now costs 3 ore and 5 monster fibers. (was 4 ore, 4 fiber)
  • Vine wake boots now cost 6 monster fibers. (was 3 ore, 3 fiber)
  • Generators now cost 9 monster fibers. (was 3 ore, 3 fiber)
  • Auto Pusher is now 1 ore and 6 monster fiber. (was 3 ore, 4 fiber)
  • Drone Factory is now 2 ore and 9 monster fiber. (was 6 ore, 6 fiber)
  • Spare Scrap perk now reduces turret damage by 15% instead of reducing permanent weapon damage.
  • Mole Mode perk: pathfinder cooldown from 100% to 60%. (Buff)
  • The illusion of Freedom perk: changed negative to reduce structure HP by 20%.
  • Explosive Organs perk: light radius negative from 70% to 60%. (Buff)
  • Drones come in packs of 3 instead of 2.
  • Slightly fewer boss Var on second night.
  • Day is now 10 seconds longer.
  • Day 2 ecosystem slightly calmer.
  • Drone factory energy consumption reduce to 20 (from 30)
  • Bulb turret damage to 30 (from 10).
  • Slightly increased ore spawn rate.

[h2]Chapter 1 Changes[/h2]
  • Slightly shifted Shop’s colliders (fixed clipping).
  • Chests now place invulnerable ground below themselves.
  • Upgrade machines no longer spawn in the demo.
    • Upgrade machines make no contextual sense without the rest of the game. In the full game, reaching the second chapter for the first time will retroactively cause upgrade machines to spawn in chapter 1
  • Dragons no longer heal after entering their nests.
  • Dragons stay inside their nest longer.
  • Intro sign first message tweaked.
  • Snail Shop entrance emits a small glow.

[h2]General[/h2]
  • Renamed “non-consumable damage” to “permanent weapon damage”.
  • Increased pathfinder tutorial popup duration.
  • Pulse Rifle primary fire physics of been reworked.
  • Upwards pulse is consistent and easy to use.
  • There is a new tech involved with horizontal pulses. If no horizontal movement keys are pressed and
  • the player is not touching the ground, the player’s velocity is maintained after the pulse.
  • Passive items are now automatically placed at the top of your inventory.
  • Items slots are now colored according to their type.
  • Passive items are green
  • Consumable weapons are red
  • Turrets are blue
  • Permanent Weapons are Yellow
  • Added new tips.
    Bug Fixes
  • Time jingles is now effected by audio sliders.
  • You can no longer scroll your inventory while in the pause menu.
  • Loud death audio bug fixed.
  • Hornet wings flapping is now effected by audio sliders.
  • Jungle Demon spawn is now effected by audio sliders.
  • Turret rotation audio is now effected by audio sliders.
  • Fixed a bug that caused crafters to hum insanely loudly even when sound is turned down.
  • Trying to move items while in pathfinder no longer causes inventory to break.
  • Throwing an item right before interacting with an object no longer causes throw animation to loop
  • endlessly.
  • Fixed a bug where restarting the game would cause certain objects in the hub area to move to strange locations.
  • Fixed bug that caused centipede nests to not spawn centipedes.
  • Leech Cavern buildings can no longer overlap with the door.
  • Fixed Hotkeys all defaulting to first slot when reloading or opening options menu.
  • Patched in the hole found on the right edge of the map.
  • Wings no longer randomly appear if the player spams jump in tight quarters.
  • Camp sites and the snail shop no longer boost the music volume after using them.
  • Fixed a bug that made the music for the final wave of the leech cavern very loud.
  • Nukes now properly kill multiple enemies.
  • Moving items while in ghost state no longer causes inventory to break.
  • Players can no longer break into the shop as a ghost.
  • Fixed a bug that caused time to progress while in the snail shop.
  • Fire from flamethrowers and flame turrets now produces light properly.
  • Turrets no longer attack land mines.
  • Player can no longer infinitely wall jump in front of start manor.
  • Top of the map in chapter 1 is now properly filled in.
  • Walls are now properly categorized as turrets.
  • Dying while in pathfinder no longer breaks the game.
  • Alphas no longer cause music to randomly disappear in blood biome.
  • Mining line now disappears if player dies or uses f-tool during its animation.
  • Dying while throwing item no longer causes the animation to get stuck looping.
