Update 0.303 - Steam

[p]Dear Commanders![/p][p][/p][p]On August 8, 2025, we released game update 0.303, which represents the first release of the game here on Steam and is now current.[/p][p]The main content of this update is a new German top-tier tank destroyer:[/p][p][/p]
JAGDTIGER
[p][/p][p]The Jagdtiger, officially known as Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B, was a German heavy tank destroyer used during World War II, developed on the chassis of the Tiger II heavy tank. It was characterized by an extremely powerful 128 mm PaK 44 L/55 cannon, which could destroy almost any Allied tank, but suffered from low mobility, high failure rate, and enormous fuel consumption. Due to its weight of over 70 tons and limited production (only about 80 units), it was deployed in limited numbers, mainly at the end of the war in 1944–1945.[/p][p][/p][p]What are the characteristics of this tank in our game?[/p][p]Advantages[/p]
 • [p]High level of armor protection at the front of the tank[/p]
 • [p]Extreme firepower[/p]
[p]Weaknesses[/p]
 • [p]No rotating turret[/p]
 • [p]Longer gun reload times[/p]
 • [p]Lower mobility = speed and turning circle[/p]
[p]How to play this tank in our game?[/p]
 • [p]Don't rush forward unnecessarily; instead, fire from behind.[/p]
 • [p]Make full use of your armor and, in particular, the firepower of your high-penetration 128 mm gun.[/p]
 • [p]Keep the enemy within your field of vision[/p]
 • [p]Always take good cover and try to protect your main weak point – the front lower plate of the chassis[/p]
 • [p]When the enemy is close and there is a threat of an attack on the side/rear, try to stop them with the front of the tank[/p]
[p][/p]
A piece of history from the real combat use of the Jagdtiger tank:
[p]On the night of March 20-21, 1945, five Jagdtigers were unloaded from a train and moved to the forests east of Siegburg. Carius' Jagdtigers were assigned to the newly formed Panzergruppe Hudel to attack the American bridgehead on the Rhine and set out early in the morning on March 24. However, the Americans were expecting the German attack, were very well prepared, repelled it relatively easily, and quickly went on the counterattack. On March 25, Carius's 2nd Company, with its Jagdtigers (still only five in number), received orders to withdraw to the town of Siegen and prepare to defend it. Two Jagdtigers broke down on the way, rendering them unable to continue, and both had to be blown up. The remaining three reached Siegen and between March 26 and 30, they met up with five other armored vehicles that had strayed during the transfer from Sennelager. Carius now had eight Jagdtigers at his disposal. Another ten Jagdtigers from the 1st Company of the 512th Battalion also arrived in the city.[/p][p]On March 28, 1945, the 512th Battalion recorded its first enemy tank destruction when the commander of the 1st Company, First Lieutenant Albert Ernst, literally tore apart an American Sherman with a 128 mm shell. Over the next three days, the 1st Company held defensive positions southeast of Siegen and destroyed more than thirty American vehicles, mostly tanks, with fire from a distance of up to three kilometers. Albert Ernst was promoted to captain for this success, but only five Jagdtigers remained from his company. On April 1, 1945, the Americans managed to close the so-called Ruhr pocket and encircle 317,000 German soldiers, including the remnants of the 512th Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion. The soldiers of the 512th Battalion defended themselves in the pocket for more than two weeks, but it was only a delay of the inevitable. The fate of the unit was sealed. (author: panzernet.net - Jagdtiger)[/p][p][/p][p]Game development will continue with update 0.304, which is currently in preparation and scheduled for release next month, i.e. September 2025.[/p][p]This update will bring another new tank to the game, this time a German Tier 8 tank destroyer - the Elefant. You can see a preview of the new tank in the image below.[/p][p][/p][p]We look forward to seeing you on the battlefield![/p][p][/p][p]Best regards,[/p][p]Your PANZERKAMPF® development team[/p]

And here's the finish line!

[p]Dear tankers![/p][p][/p][p]We would like to share with you the latest information and developments in the development of PANZERKAMPF®.[/p][p][/p][p]On Monday, we released the last pre-Steam update, version 0.300. In this update, we added the new German Marder I tank destroyer, which we talked about in our last Status Reports, and made a few improvements and fixes to the game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Are you wondering what we mean by the last pre-Steam update? We'll be happy to explain. We are currently entering the home stretch, which means that we are performing the last and final tests of the build that we will send to Steam for testing. We plan to release the game on Steam at the end of June or beginning of July, but once we send it, everything is in Steam's hands, and we have no idea if the build will be sent back to us for modification during the approval process. We will share more information on our Discord server.[/p][p][/p][p]Once again, we would like to sincerely thank all of the nearly 17,000 tankers who have added our game to their Wishlist. It is an unimaginable honor for us to have sparked the interest of such a huge number of players of various tank and non-tank games. Don't forget that you can still add the game to your Wishlist. ːcozyspaceengineerscː[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]
Further development:
[p]As we have already outlined in our previous Status Reports, we are preparing two new maps in the near future. One of them will be a sandy map called Tobruk. The second map will be snowy.[/p][p][/p][p]We will also be adding new vehicles. Specifically, it will be the German level 9 tank destroyer JagdTiger, which will support the legendary Tiger II. The Elefant will appear at level 8.[/p][p]Pssst... Hetzer will be at level 4. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)[/p][carousel][/carousel][p]Of course, we will also be working on other things. Platoons and Brigades are high on our list, so we will be introducing them into the game without delay. For example, we will be improving the details. Tracks imprinted on the terrain will look better, we will introduce changes in weather and time of day on selected maps, and much more![/p][p][/p][p]We sincerely hope to see our Steam fans on the battlefield soon. Until then, we recommend following us on social media.[/p][p][/p][p]We are on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, X and Discord. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]With kind regards,[/p][p][/p][p]Your PANZERKAMPF® development team[/p]

Final steps before release of PANZERKAMPF® on Steam

Welcome to another official update on the game's development status! Based on your feedback, we have decided to regularly share news, plans and information about the development of PANZERKAMPF®. In these reports, we will focus on key game mechanics, upcoming updates, and overall development progress.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Technical Information - Game Mechanics
Many of you must have wondered how the spotting system actually works, when you have the biggest camo bonus, why this shot didn't go through even though it definitely should have. In short, how this or that works.
We'll try to explain the various game mechanics, starting with spotting and camouflage, in more detail soon in the dedicated PANZERKAMPF®-techinfo section of our official Discord server. For now, here are a few interesting notes:

- The bushes, currently only available on the Hradec map (soon on other maps as well), significantly increase the camouflage value depending on the level of your tank's Camouflage upgrade.
- After firing from behind the bushes, the tank will automatically reveal itself for a while.
- The position of the gun in/outside the bushes does not affect the camouflage value.
Update 0.297
In the latest update, marked 0.297, we focused on fixing game features.

Key Changes:

- Fixed bugs in the network infrastructure, eliminating issues such as the 10vs10 "observer bug", unavailability of servers or problems with the scoreboard.
- Added new visuals (crows and logs) on the Dietenheim map.
- We added the ability to close all windows in the garage with the Esc key.
- We added an average FPS indicator.
- We fixed special characters of localized alphabets and translations in collaboration with the community.
Update 0.300 - PANZERKAMPF® on Steam!
We are happy to announce that PANZERKAMPF® will be available on Steam! Starting with version 0.300, players will be able to choose whether to launch the game through the existing launcher or directly through Steam. Players who currently play the game through the Launcher but prefer to play on Steam will be given the option to migrate their account.

What version 0.300 will bring:

- A new map Opava - it's a city map with alleys, sheltered locations and dynamic environments.
- More fixes and tweaks, which we'll talk about in the next report.

Add the game to your Wishlist and join the 10,000 other players who have already done so! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2771910/PANZERKAMPF/
Progress on the Opava map
We're finishing up work on this new city map:

- Buildings, streets and the central park are ready.
- The rain leaves puddles, but the clouds are breaking through.
- The city surroundings offer many opportunities for cover behind natural and artificial obstacles. - Military and civilian vehicles are parked on the map, including the German "Kübelwagen" vehicle.
Preparing the Steam version
Work is progressing according to plan and we are in the second third of development. We estimate that completion and release will take place within 4-6 weeks, but the schedule may be affected by unexpected issues. Should work on the Steam version be delayed, we will consider releasing version 0.298 with the new map ahead of schedule.
Bug fixes and game balancing
- We are constantly working on bug fixes and game stabilization.
- We are preparing extensive changes to tank balancing - we will release details in the next report.
Player feedback
Your reports in the feedback section are crucial for us. Most appreciated are detailed reports with problem descriptions and video documentation of them, which help us identify and fix bugs efficiently.

Team and mood in the studio
The mood in the team is positive and development is progressing according to planned milestones. Stabilization of the game is nearing completion and a Steam release is in sight!

Conclusion
The development of PANZERKAMPF® is progressing as planned. We are working on stabilization, new content (maps, tanks), balancing and bug fixes - all with an emphasis on community feedback. Thank you for your support and we look forward to the next report!
