It's about time we started dev-blog#4 to reveal some little details about the project 📰

Did you know, that American police officers often carry more than 20 lbs (9 kg) of equipment? The gear is a necessary part of the job and must be carried on his/her body while working🔫 🔦

Today we decided to take first look at the available weapons and tools, that will be included in the officers' equipment belt in our game 👀



🧰 Equipment (playable)🧰

• Pistol
• Ammunition (gun clips)
• Taser
• Flashlight
• Camera
• Selected Heavy Weapon



⚙️ Other gear⚙️

• Baton
• Pepper spray
• Handcuffs

The duty belt can be used as long as you're outside of any vehicle/on foot. Weapons can only be changed or equipped, when they are needed for a certain gameplay! 🎮

As a highway patrol officer, you are on the road with your partner 90% of the time. After all, that's the law!🚓 🚓 🚓

So today we're going to share with you some of the gameplay possibilities. And no, it's not just about getting you the next snack from the vending machine 😛

That's what YOUR partner will be able to do:

During your shift, you can delegate various tasks to your partner:
Assist with standard daily tasks
Perform special tests in certain situations

Support:🆘 🔫 🚨
Help with investigations - e.g. securing crime scenes/accident sites
Providing support during active shooter incidents and life-threatening situations

Socialize:🗣️ 👮‍♀️
Your partner always has an sympathetic ear for you - just talk to her
Your decisions and reactions can affect your conversations and the game world.

And last but not least, you can improve 🚀 some of your partner's skills so that you can work together even more effectively!

Everyone of you is probably wondering what we are currently working on. Well, actually it's quite simple --> finishing the game 😀

But okay, I understand you want details 😛

We spent the last two weeks mainly focusing on traffic stops and accidents. The shooting also got our special attention. The team is making good progress and discovered interesting aspects that we could add to our existing ideas.

🚦 Traffic Stops - Highway Police Simulator🚦
The goal of traffic stops is to investigate a possible/known crime or minor violation of law by conducting various checks on the stopped vehicle, driver and/or passengers.

🚓 Accidents - Highway Police Simulator🚓
Players responding to accidents will be in charge of managing and investigating the scene by securing traffic, talking to the involved, documenting the accident, gathering evidence, giving out tickets, and finally, drawing a conclusion about the cause of the accident by interpreting all the previously obtained information.

🔫 Shooting Feature(Sneak) - Highway Police Simulator🔫
Yes, there will be the use of weapons in HWPS, as an officer you will have different possibilities to train your skills with the weapon to be prepared for an emergency.
