'Horde Mode Beta' - Major Update 1.1.9

[h2]Good day, Typers![/h2][p][/p][p]Over the coming weeks we have exciting updates to share with you. To begin with:[/p][p][/p][h3]You can now play the beta phase of Blood Typers' HORDE MODE![/h3][p] [/p][h3]Horde Mode[/h3][p]A new mode where you and up to three allies must survive five increasingly dangerous waves of enemies on twisted versions of existing levels.[/p][p][/p][h3]Quick Action[/h3][p]Puzzle less, fight more. A Horde Mode session tops out around 15 minutes. If you can survive that long.[/p][p][/p][h3]Battle for Blood[/h3][p]Collect BLOOD, an in-game currency earned by typing through enemies. Break as many words as you can, build up your BLOOD, and use it to buy gear and unlock other parts of the level. [/p][p][/p][h3]Two Featured Levels - More to Come![/h3][p]Currently, the first two levels feature Horde Mode (Corpus Studios and Supper of the Dead). We would love your feedback on these initial levels while we flesh out the remaining ones and develop Horde Mode further – alongside other fixes and improvements to the overall experience.[/p][p][/p][p]Please let us know what you think in the comments, on the Discussion boards, and in the Official Discord. Update 1.1.8

  • Fixed The Scarlet Carpet's finale boss healing out of turn
  • Removed some unusual and loan words from the word bank like "billons" and "shroff"
  • Added heaters to Cryonic Zone's Cold Porch rooms
  • Improved props and item spawns on Supper of the Dead
  • Improved the player map accuracy
  • Fixed minor procedural generation issues
  • Improved enemy spawn positions on all levels
  • Fixed some instances of enemies appearing invisible

Update 1.1.7

  • Fixed the game over Canceled screen not working properly in multiplayer
  • Changed the internal word bank to have fewer unusual and non-English words of 3 and 4 letters
  • Added more props to various levels

  • Added new rooms
  • Fixed up some procedural room connections
  • Nullified potential route-blocking objects
  • Fixed up and improved the player map view
  • Fixed visual glitches

[h3]Supper of the Dead[/h3]
  • Fixed monster spawners appearing on incorrect walls


Due to the changes in this patch your prior save files will not be compatible from this version onwards. Old versions can be played using the Steam Betas feature found under the game properties. Apologies for any inconvenience this causes.

Update 1.1.6

  • Fixed barricade prompts sometimes not working after loading a checkpoint
  • Improved defib prompts not appearing after loading a checkpoint
  • Fixed potential inaccessible doors in Scarlet Carpet

  • Fixed elevator exit panel sometimes inaccessible
  • Fixed Slap Pit horde timer increasing faster than intended
