Devlog#7
Hello, Survivors.
We would like to introduce the new class, the 'Bartender', who shakes a cocktail shaker even in the midst of Liberty Grand Center, full of zombies and enemies!
This character is not just a simple supporter. The Bartender can craft various drinks to empower their teammates, and at times, ignite their own blood to deliver powerful attacks on enemies as a versatile close-range warrior.
Look forward to seeing how the "Bartender who refreshes everyone's throats and heats up their hearts" will change your battles!
The Bartender class is not final and may have its specs changed in future updates.
[Character Concept and Design]
The Bartender is a character known as the "Cheerful Drinker." As the name suggests, they maintain a carefree attitude even in bleak environments. Their specialty is drinking their own crafted drinks to unleash immense power or using those drinks to aid teammates. You will never see a Bartender grim-faced in battle! They always ask with a smile, "What would you like to drink today?"
[Unique Skill (Drink Crafting) System]
The Bartender's unique skill is their special drink crafting system. Like a chef, they can combine ingredients to craft special drinks. They can power up teammates with an ‘Attack Boost Drink’, make them invincible with a ‘Defense Boost Drink’, or sometimes toss a ‘Poison Drink’ to debilitate enemies. The fun lies in crafting the right drink for the situation and using it just like shaking a cocktail shaker.
To craft a drink, input the recipe by pressing the [←], [↑], [→], [↓] keys in the correct order. Once the drink is complete, press [F] to drink it yourself, or allow others to interact with it by pressing [F], or throw it at a target with a right-click.
① Ingredient Storage
The first step in crafting drinks is the ingredient storage. Here, the Bartender can store and manage various ingredients used for crafting.
● Ingredient List:
Bearberries, garlic, and chives are distinguished by their unique colors and icons, each providing different effects. For example, bearberries are used for healing recipes, while garlic is for strengthening.
● Ingredient Capacity and Recovery Rate:
The storage capacity (e.g., 24/25) shows the current available ingredients, and only 25 total ingredients can be carried into the game.
● Ingredient Replenishment:
Ingredients can be replenished through interaction in the field, and even if a player fails an extraction, basic ingredients will still be provided.
This system forms the foundation of the Bartender's drink crafting, and players must manage their ingredients efficiently to execute their unique recipes.
② Drink Crafting Recipes
The second step is the drink crafting recipes. The Bartender can create special drinks through various combinations, which can be consumed by the Bartender or provided to others.
● Recipe Tree: The recipe tree connects various drinks, allowing players to craft desired drinks by arranging ingredients. Each recipe has specific effects, and can be enhanced based on the character's traits.
● Recipe Combinations: Drink effects vary based on the combinations, and skilled Bartenders can craft drinks that suit the team's situation.
● Recipe Management: Slot 2 stores the in-game recipes. These cannot be changed in-game and must be set in the out-game interface before entering the battlefield. Players must prepare recipes tailored to the battlefield before the match begins.
● Crafting Process: Drink crafting requires casting time, during which the Bartender mixes ingredients to complete the drink.
This system is crucial to the Bartender's battle strategy, with the effectiveness of the drinks highly dependent on the combinations used.
③ Skill List
The final stage is the skill list. The Bartender can use crafted drinks to activate various skills, allowing them to dominate the battlefield.
● Skill List and Effects:
The skill list features skills of varying grades, each requiring specific ingredient combinations for different effects. For example, the "Heart of Steel" skill provides high defense and resistance.
● Ingredient Requirements:
Each skill requires specific combinations of ingredients, and higher-grade skills require more complex combinations.
● Skill Management:
The skill list in Slot 3 is also managed in the out-game interface. Players can set which recipes to bring into the battle beforehand, ensuring they are prepared for various situations on the battlefield.
[Active Skills]
① Party Time:
"Shout in joy to increase movement speed by 15% and casting speed by 30% for 15 seconds."
This skill allows the Bartender to control the battlefield atmosphere and give the team an advantage. Use it before battle to boost team speed and attack.
② Sweet Champagne:
Spray from a champagne bottle set on the ground to restore 5 HP per second to allies within 1.5m for 7 seconds.
This skill helps restore teammates’ HP in intense battles, turning the tide in your favor.
③ Drink Enchant:
Coat a weapon with a toxic drink or smash a bottle to deal fixed damage and apply a poison debuff to nearby enemies.
This skill goes beyond just an attack, adding a poison debuff that drains enemy health over time.
④ Drink Crafting:
Mix various ingredients to create a drink with specific effects. Drinks can be consumed or thrown, and their effects depend on the ingredients and order used. Players can maximize the drink's performance through special recipes.
[Future Plans]
The Bartender you can experience in this public playtest is not the final version.
We plan to refine the drink crafting system to be more fun and creative, allowing for more varied combinations based on the situation. We will also add special events or animations during the crafting process to enhance this character’s unique playstyle. Based on your feedback, we will continue developing the Bartender to become the heart of team play.
"Take a moment to relax, even on the battlefield!" Meet the Bartender in the upcoming public playtest.
