[h2]Beef Cat Ultra: Remix Update[/h2]

Launch week is behind us, and I've been able to clean up the dust in the code. The goal has always been to grow Beef Cat Ultra over time with new ideas, content, and *stuff. I love Survivors games and I like playing my own game. So as long as I have new ideas, they will flow into the game.

The Remix Update

Let's start with a bullet point list:
  • 1 New post-game focused World with 4 New Stages
  • 1 New Mode: Remix
  • 6 New Pickups exclusively found in the new world
  • 1 New Shop for difficulty junkies


Let's break it down!

Remix Island will become available after beating Some Big Guy! Head to the docks in Stinky Coast and set sail for a brand new mini-world featuring 4 massive sized stages using the new mode: Remix! Sharing maps with their respective Endless stages, Remix tasks you will mowing down astronomical hordes and fighting against the RNG. Everything is randomized. Pickup placement, Player Starting Point, Enemy Spawners, Jars, Chests, Mushrooms, even your level-up options. The idea is to create an endlessly replayable post-game experience for people looking for one more stage!

6 New Pickups join the loot pool on Remix Island - including Mouse Mace: Swing your mouse through the horde like never before, Uppercut: a vertically oriented melee attack, Parry Pants: drop a grenade when you successfully dodge an attack.

1 New Shop - The Anti-Shop. Pay a small fee and reset all of your permanent stat bonuses to ZERO. No refunds. An option for those that have grown in skill beyond the need for little upgrades.

The Remix Update is being prepped for a November release!

This is a partner patch to earlier. Focused on more visualization mostly. All in all, nearly 30 tweaks today focused on making things look/read/and feel better.

The focus of this patch was Readability, which took several contexts. Whether it was making notifications easier to read, making power-ups easier to discern, or processing load reduction for when the game has 1000s of objects on screen at once. It's a good patch.
