Patch note v1.2.1

Patch v1.2.1
[p][/p][p]This small patch follows the release of v1.2[/p]

New trinket: Stormbreaker (Warrior)
• [p]Every 3 attacks, your base attack causes each enemy hit to release a lightning projectile dealing 50 damage[/p]
[p]This trinket replaces the Lightning Arrow trinket when playing the Warrior.[/p][p][/p]
Knockback talent point: (Physical Skill Tree)
• [p]Knockback sytem has been entirely reworked.[/p]
 • [p]Auto Attacks now correctly push back enemies when enabling this skill.[/p]
 • [p]Correctly factors in the "mass" of the enemy (an Elite enemy will travel less than an Imp during knockback).[/p]
[p][/p]
Lightning Projectile: (Shock, Lightning arrow, Stormbreaker, Thor's Diary)
• [p]Lightning Projectile now correctly bounces between enemies.[/p]
 • [p]Lightning Projectile speed increased[/p]
[p]Reminder: Any lightning damage can "Shock", spawning a small lightning projectile dealing your shock damage as lightning damage.
Thor's Diary, Lightning Arrow and Stormbreaker create lightning projectiles as well.
Lightning Projectiles bounce between enemies, loose 10 damage each bounce and continue to bounce between enemies until there is no damage left to deal.
Increasing Lightning Damage will ultimately increase the number of bounces.
[/p][p]A bit confusing I know, I need to find a way to make it more clear in-game.[/p][p]Let me know what you think![/p][p][/p][p]Astrow[/p][p][/p]

The Nightwatch v1.2 - Upcoming changes

Hello everyone,
Update v1.2 of The Nightwatch is in development!
I'm hard at work on version 1.2, which will bring several quality-of-life improvements and some of the most requested features from the community. While the full patch notes will come later, here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming:
Two New Playable Characters
Without disrupting the current game balance, v1.2 introduces two new characters that offer fresh ways to play and reach the endgame.
Milestones, medals, and unlocks are shared across all characters, but now each medal will show which character achieved it.
Resume System
Had to quit mid-run? Game crash out of nowhere?
A new save-state system will trigger when using a portal to the shop, letting you safely resume your run from the main menu whenever you're ready.
Graphic Improvements
Expect better-looking character sprites and animations, enhanced floor tiles, and more visual polish throughout the game. There’s lots of room for visual upgrades, and I'll do my best to make it better.
Optimizations
Some behind-the-scenes improvements are on the way to help the game run more smoothly, especially during the ultra-hard difficulty late-game around the 30–40 minute mark, where things can slow to a crawl. These changes should make even the hardest runs feel more responsive.

I don't have a definite timeline and patch note release date, but I'll be working on it actively in the next few weeks, pausing the development on the new untitled project I'm developing.

If you have any feature request, bug, or anything you would like to see in the game, don't hesite to contact me here in this post or through any other way you might want to reach out (Discord, social networks).

Thank you so much for playing the game.

Steam Deck Compatibility progress

Even though the game still waits to perform the Steam Deck compatibility test, after multiple tests accross different Decks, the game fully runs from beginning to end with full controller support.

Also, since the game has a linux native build, it works out of the box. If you encounter the issue where the game doesn't start or any Cloud Sync issues, Steam might be downloading the game with Windows proton compatibility.

To fix this problem you can manually select the Linux Native build from the Settings->Compatibility option on the game.

If you encounter any other issue that I missed while playing, make sure to notify me in this thread so I can fix it right away.

Thanks for your support!
