Story
[p][/p][p]Childhood:[/p][p]Marquez faced constant criticism for everything he did, gradually developing an obsessive pursuit of perfection. To others, Marquez appeared flawless and relentless—always muttering, "No, not enough yet."[/p][p][/p][p]Career at Huli BioTech:[/p][p]As an adult, Marquez became a researcher at the Biotechnology Institute, working under Lianhua (mother of HongYing) on bioengineering projects. Despite repeated rejections of Marquez' research proposals, Lianhua supported Marquez in continuing her work.[/p][p]The institute specialized in studying the Feral Relic—a substance with dual potential for medical applications and toxicological research. Its work spanned two divisions:[/p][p] Medical Division (exploring therapeutic uses)[/p][p] Toxins Division (studying hazardous properties)[/p][p]Driven by a desire to surpass her mentor, Marquez grew increasingly fixated on breakthroughs. To accelerate progress, Marquez secretly conducted illegal experiments in abandoned labs. Though Lianhua urged Marquez to stop, the institute’s leadership tacitly endorsed the methods due to dramatically improved reagent efficiency. This rift deepened their conflict.[/p][p][/p][p]Rise and Fall:[/p][p]Marquez’s exceptional talent soon secured a role in the institute’s top-secret Project Genesis. Leading the team, Marquez developed a reagent that enhanced soldiers’ physical capabilities for combat. When questioned about side effects, Marquez consistently evaded answers.[/p][p]The lab was eventually raided by law enforcement. The only stable reagent sample vanished—prompting Marquez to inject the remaining unstable solution into herself, declaring: "I will reclaim everything I've lost someday."[/p][p][/p][p]Desolate Legion and Hidden Motives:[/p][p]Rescued by HongYing during an Desolate Legion mission, Marquez recognized HongYing as Lianhua’s daughter (having seen photos in Lianhua’s office). Though HongYin remained unaware, Marquez silently monitored her—whispering, "You disapprove of my methods, don’t you, little bunny?"[/p][p]While the Desolate Legion sought to hoard the Feral Relic resources to create superweapons and end wars, Marquez predicted they would instead dominate the world through threats. Thus began Marquez’s covert plan to undermine them...[/p][p][/p]
