Wild Assault Dev Log #50: Q&A on Key Content in the Current Version4

[p]Hello Wild Ones![/p][p][/p][p]We’ve been receiving a great deal of enthusiastic feedback recently (special thanks to several very dedicated “global players” and active community members). Everyone has offered valuable suggestions regarding balance, new content, and the overall gameplay experience. In this week’s log, we’ll address some of the most frequently raised topics.[/p][p][/p][p]01 Key Balance & Combat Adjustments[/p]
• [p]Regarding Akaihime (Fox) Adjustments. We’ve received detailed feedback about Akaihime’s perceived overperformance (particularly concerning slide-melee, rocket jumping, and skill cooldown mechanics).[/p]
• [p]Response: Your analysis is highly professional! We’ve cross-referenced these suggestions with our internal adjustment plans. Here’s a preview: adjustments for Akaihime are coming soon, including balance changes to her skill mechanics. Stay tuned![/p]
• [p]Other Balance Feedback[/p]
• [p]AN94 Recoil Optimization: Some players reported that the first two shots of the AN94 feel overly random, causing missed shots. We’ve logged this and are scheduling adjustments to ensure more consistent gunplay.[/p]
• [p]Medic Scoring: To address the low scoring efficiency of support roles, we recently adjusted Erwin’s (Cat) scoring mechanics. Further iterations will follow to ensure supportive contributions are properly quantified.[/p]
• [p]Ultimate Charge Logic Clarification[/p]
• [p]Mechanics Note: Many players feel that different Valiants charge their Ultimates at different rates. This is by design—we set charge requirements based on each Valiant’s characteristics and intended strength (e.g., the difference between Akaihime and Norman).[/p]

[p]02 Game Experience & Core Optimizations[/p]
• [p]No “Superpowers”: Anti-Cheat in Progress[/p]
• [p]Regarding Macros & Rapid-fire Tools: We’re continuously monitoring behaviors that disrupt fair play, including macro usage, rapid-fire scripts, and aim-assist exploits.[/p]
• [p]Our Commitment: Rest assured, we will continue to issue bans based on abnormal data and player reports. Even attempts at violation will be penalized. Maintaining a fair competitive environment is our bottom line.[/p]
• [p]Map & Interaction Fixes[/p]
• [p]No More Getting Stuck: We’re investigating and fixing geometry issues—such as rocks in Mountain Point D, snow piles on Snow map, and small bumps in Bay—that cause characters to get caught, using coordinates provided by the community.[/p]
• [p]Skill Description Corrections: Discrepancies between skill demonstration videos/text and actual effects (e.g., Jack’s wallhack) will be updated soon to avoid confusion.[/p]
• [p]UI Improvements: Issues like the character panel blocking map clicks in the deployment interface, as well as requests to resize the deployment map, have been added to our optimization list.[/p]

[p]03 Future Content Preview[/p]
• [p]New Modes & Gameplay[/p]
• [p]PVE Mode Info: The “monster-hunting” mode many have asked about is in development. What we can share now: it will be a squad-based mode that heavily emphasizes role (class) specialization.[/p]
• [p]Custom Room Upgrades: We’re working on adding more adjustable parameters (e.g., faction-based skill/HP adjustments, weapon fire rate) to give custom games more flexibility.[/p]
• [p]Talent System Plans: Inspired by your “class specialization” suggestions, we’re designing a talent system to create skill differentiation, allowing the same hero to branch into distinct playstyles.[/p]
• [p]Winter Surprises & Cultural Merch[/p]
• [p]Christmas Skins: Yes! New holiday-themed skins will be released during the festive season. Our art team says they “really love these outfits,” and we hope you will too![/p]
• [p]Theme Song: Will Wild Assault have its own theme song? The answer is: we’re working on it![/p]

[p]04 Community & Communication[/p]
• [p]Regarding Promotion[/p]
• [p]We fully understand how player activity affects the overall game experience. Beyond routine promotion at key update milestones, we sincerely invite every Valiant to help us spread the word—whether through awesome highlight clips, creative fan works, or word-of-mouth recommendations. Your support means everything to us.[/p]
• [p]Communication Channels[/p]
• [p]If you encounter any bugs or have great ideas, feel free to reach out via Discord DMs (contact Leo or the official CombatCat account). While we may be too busy developing to vlog about our daily studio life, we read every piece of feedback carefully.[/p]

[p]05 Anthea’s Optimization Needs Your Voice![/p]
• [p]Don’t forget to check out the new in-game survey! Any feedback on “Snow Leopard—Anthea”—whether about her grapple mechanics, visual model, or balance—can be shared directly with the dev team through the survey. We’ll carefully review and evaluate every response, and we look forward to crafting a better Anthea together with you![/p]

[p]Final Words:[/p][p]That’s all for this week’s Wild Assault Dev Log. Thank you for your ongoing companionship and patience. The world of Wild Assault is more vibrant because of you. If you have more ideas or thoughts, feel free to share them in the comments.
