As mentioned in the last Producer Q&A, we’ve been working on a web-based localization system, and now it’s finally here!

[h4]2. How to Participate in the Wild Assault Localization Project Using Weblate[/h4]

[h5]2.1 Localization Principles (Important)[/h5]
  • Keep the language concise and translate according to the original meaning to ensure the text fits within its designated space in the game. Keep the translated text as short as possible.
  • Use standard and widely accepted language; avoid using dialects or slang.
  • Follow the original format for punctuation, rich text, and letter casing.
  • If the original text seems problematic or unclear, choose "Skip" or leave a comment to request clarification.

  • You can view the number of strings, localization percentage, and total character count here. Click the "Translate" button to start.
  • CHECK SUGGESTIONS FIRST: Click on the Suggestions tab to view and vote on existing suggestions. This can help reduce duplicate translation submissions.
  • Suggest: If you would still like to propose an alternative, write your translation in the blue box and click Suggest.
  • "Needs editing": If you are unsure about the translation, check this box to alert other translators to review this string.

  • Yellow box: Original text
  • Blue box: Translated text
  • Red box: Proceed to the next string
  • Filters: Search for a specific string
  • Comment: For long comments, explanations, and discussions about a specific string, click the "Comment" tab to edit and view.
  • Always remember to save and submit before moving on to the next string.
