Wild Assault Dev Log #35: Custom Lobby Latest News

[p]Hello Wild Ones![/p][p]It's time for Wild Assault Dev Log. In the past two editions, we took a deep dive into two of our Valiants. [/p][p]This week, we're switching gears to bring you the latest on our new content development. This edition is all about the progress of our Custom Lobby feature.[/p][p][/p][p]First up, in the version currently under development, you can already see the room list. Once this feature goes live, all the rooms you create will be displayed here. You'll be able to browse room information and join whichever room catches your fancy. Furthermore, we've added a precise search function, allowing you to find a specific room directly by its Room ID.[/p][p]After entering a room, you'll arrive at the pre-game lobby. This space is primarily for everyone to prepare before a match. You can see all members in the room, including the character models. Additionally, you can communicate with everyone in the room via the lobby chat channel and adjust team assignments.[/p][p]As the Room Owner, you'll have the ability to adjust room settings. This includes changing the mode and map, and configuring gameplay rules.[/p][p]Now, let's give you a sneak peek with a few screenshots:[/p][p][/p][p]Bot Settings[/p][p]You can choose whether to add bots to a match, and even select to add them only for one side. You can also set the difficulty for bots, with 50 difficulty levels available for you to choose from.[/p][p][/p][p]Valiant Settings[/p][p]Regarding match settings, you might be particularly interested in what can be adjusted for Valiants. We're providing many options for you. For example, as seen in the screenshot below, you can modify skill cooldown times or ultimate charge rates. You can also choose to disable a certain type of skill or outright ban specific Valiants. We believe that with various combinations of these settings, you'll be able to create all sorts of interesting experiences.[/p][p][/p][p]Besides the content mentioned above, many other custom options for rooms are currently in development. We also welcome everyone to contribute ideas and let us know what options you most want to see. We will continue to update and strive to meet your expectations.[/p][p][/p][p]Join us again next week! ​​R&D Priority Alignment Update​

[p]To All Valiants,

Thank you for your continuous feedback! We have carefully listened to the community's concerns regarding core experience pain points—bot mechanics, weapon balancing, foundational gameplay, controller compatibility, and more. In the past, we overly focused on developing new content while neglecting the optimization of core experiences. We have deeply reflected on this.

Now, We will adjust our update strategy and development rhythm as follows:
1.Reprioritization​ – The team will fully dedicate efforts to optimizing core experiences (bot logic improvements, foundational gameplay, controller support, etc.).
2.Agile Update Strategy​ – Due to our limited team size, we will adopt a "small steps, quick iterations" approach: features will be released as soon as they are completed, rather than waiting for large bundled updates.
3.Continuous Content Iteration​ – Future new content, such as custom rooms, new maps, and new Valiants currently in development, will also follow the "finish first, update first" strategy.

Here’s a preview: The first round of bot optimizations is planned for release next week. We also encourage everyone to share your feedback on bot experiences in the comments. We will prioritize these optimizations in future updates. [/p]

Wild Assault Early Access August 28 Hotfix Patch Notes

Ongoing matches will not be affected during the update, but matchmaking will be temporarily unavailable. Please exit the game, update your game client via Steam, and then relaunch the game.
