Hello Block fans,

We’re thrilled to announce that Block Factory will release on July 11th 2025.

To celebrate this announcement we decided to make a brand new trailer, enjoy!

DEMO UPDATE

Hello everyone,

We noticed that some of you encountered an issue causing world loading to be stuck at 85%.

The team has identified the issue and designed a fix which implied rewriting some of the game core programming.
As a consequence, previous player saves will become incompatible, thus resetting the level (map) progression.

Workshop creation should not be impacted by this change.

Thank you!

ROAD TO RELEASE

Hello Block fans,

Block Factory was initially introduced to you back in late August, when we launched our first Playtest. We gathered tons of valuable insights from the community which helped shape the game to something more suited to your expectations!
What we achieved together
We worked hard on refining the onboarding process, to help you learn the specifics of our game more smoothly. We also improved some aspects of the User Interface, to be more in-line with similar games of the genre and reduce friction.

The addition of the Challenge Mode also offered another flavour to the game, players now have to scratch their heads and optimize their production and workflow to reach new goals.

Things got more serious for Block Factory during the Steam Next Fest last October. We got a big influx of new players and even content creators took some time to try the game out. The community also contributed in its own way, by submitting their own creations to the Steam workshop.
This phase really helped us to gather feedback and helped us to have a clearer perspective on the road ahead.
The Road Ahead
So what’s next for Block Factory? To be fully transparent with you, we initially envisioned an Early Access phase, to continue improving the game.
But thanks to all the feedback we have received, we feel more confident to work on what we already know, solidify the basics, create more levels to get ready for a full release in early 2025.

We cannot wait to show you the final version of Block Factory! See you very soon!

Community Creations #2

Hey everyone!
With the Steam Next Fest behind us, the team had a bit more time to look at your latest workshop creations. And oh boy, it’s been an eventful review at the Block office!
Is it Halloween still?
Some of you make questionable artistic choices...

Look at what Cota75 did with their “Stickman” who “Stares no matter what”:

Sachindrap is no better, this is pure nightmare fuel:
Bakoncat does not even respect their own commitment, the “Little Monster” and its supposed “Big Nose”…
The plane nerd
We did not expect Block Factory to be successful among the Flight Sim community…
PlatinumHawke definitely wanted to prepare for a dogfight.

If there’s a F-86 around, a MIG-15 should follow closely, you know what to do next time around!

A P-38 Lightning is always a safe bet!
The Messerschmitt 262 with a grey paintjob
The Gearheads
The “red and fast” by William Frederick looks like a sort of… Ferraro. Can't name them, we’ll get in trouble with the Prancing Horse’s legal team...

Skank did a tank – thanks for that tank, Skank. “Tank goes boom,” he said.
Juddud with a MCL38. Our art team is in shambles as we need to add a gazillion sponsor stickers to the game.
The good students
The elegant Tuxedo Cat by Navigatr: finally someone delivered – great work, everybody wants one now!

Lim4000 put together a sunny throwback to last summer, we also want that, especially now..
Misc.
Lia1900 with an attempt at a doughnut, they said “tried my best but I swear it’s a doughnut”...

A big H by Renault Twingo GT3. Who names their Steam account this way?

Anyways, The Block Team had a blast looking at your stuff and roasting you a bit in the process. We’d like to see more and we hope that you continue submitting your best stuff.
(We’re more interested in the worst though…)

See you next time!

Demo Update

First of all, we wanted to thank all of you who joined us to play the Demo during the Steam Next Fest.
We have seen a substantial influx of players and even more feedback on Discord and Feature Upvote.

We have dedicated our efforts to bug fixing and to also overhaul one of our core systems: the Units Calculations System. It would not have been possible if not for your feedback. We have worked very hard on this and it has proven to be quite challenging from a development perspective!

So let's hear what you think about it, and let us know if some additional tweaking is required!
Main Fix: u/m calculations rework
• All units per minute (u/m) calculations are fixed and should be displayed correctly.
Fixes
• Bugs while loading
 • Random rotations in output items
 • Gluer and Stacker not recognizing input
 • Right click mass delete freezing
 • Bug Conveyor + Teleporter
Improvements
• Conveyor anchors: Now you can press "C" while building a conveyor to place an anchor and make as many corners as you need.
 • Star Goals Display: Any completed figure will show the stars required units per minute (u/m) when hovering.
 • Re-assign figurine in compass at end of level.
 • Paste over conveyors
 • Undo recovers machine configuration

Thank you all for your involvement and feedback over these last two weeks, we'll be back soon, to have a look at your latest creations, we had quite some fun, but some of you really need to get better at this ngl).

If you want to to continue discussing all things Block Factory, come and see us on our Discord server!
