0.28.0 Update

Hello there,

We've just released a new update for Robot Arena Survivors, the Core Update.



Game modes
  • Added a brand new game mode: Protect the Core. Go fight into the existing arenas to protect the Core, a device installed in the middle of the area, against waves of furious robots. Use the rewards of the Core towers to get help by spawning defense devices and repair its walls. Show-off your success in the new dedicated leaderboards.
Leaderboards
  • Implemented new leaderboards for the new game mode, one per existing arena.
  • Top 3 scores will now be refreshed when playing an arena every completed wave, so you get the updated version of the scores constantly.
  • In Endless, you score will now be submitted everytime you destroy an Elite, updating the leaderboard with your progress while playing.
  • In Protect the Core, your score will be submitted at the end of the run only since it's time-based.
Abilities
  • Reworked all ability icons.
  • Added the Railgun turret, that will automatically shoot at enemies with high-velocity, piercing rounds.
Gameplay
  • Arena traps will now longer trigger an invincibility frame to prevent some abuse and to make them more deadly. Stay away from them.
  • Reduced the time required to capture a tower to 5 seconds (was 10).
  • Capturing a tower now spawns some experience as a gift.
  • Reintroduced the previously decommissioned Elites. Fight the arenas to rediscover them and their updated graphics.
  • Implemented new enemies in some of the arenas.
  • Added the swarms. From time to time, in both Endless and Protect the Core, you'll have a chance to trigger a swarm. They will spawn dangerous enemies in a large number during 60 seconds, but will drop a lot more experience.
  • Added visual indicators for when a swarm or reapers are joining the fight.
  • Reworked the indicator that points towards a spawned enemy.
  • Added an indicator that points towards a spawned tower.
Optimization
  • Reworked traps damage detection to make them more efficient.
  • Added new XP collectible tiers.
  • Locked the pickup range stat to 1000% at max, since going above is useless ingame.
  • Improved the display of damage numbers to make them more readable.
Achievements
  • Added 8 Steam Achievements about unlocking the different HTU available in the game (retroactive, you'll get the achievements if you already unlocked them before this update).
  • Added 5 Steam Achievements about completing the standard missions of each arena (retroactive, you'll get the achievements if you already unlocked them before this update).
  • Added 2 Steam Achievements that are hidden, who knows what they are?
  • Added 15 Steam Achievements about reaching stats thresholds during a single run.
  • Added 8 Steam Achievements about fully upgrading your HTU primary weapons during a single run.
  • Added 24 Steam Achievements about fully upgrading your abilities during a single run.
Bugs fixed
  • Fixed an issue where the player could be slowed down during its invincibility frame.
  • Fixed an issue where you could still get to see levelling-up rewards about Dash Regen even if your stat was already maxed-out.

Hello there,

We've just released a new patch for Robot Arena Survivors.

Bugs fixed:
  • Fixed a crash that could happen when triggering an arena tower event. Thank you CapabilityIsBack for noticing it live, making the edge case easy to identify and resolve.

0.27.0 Update

Hello there,

We've just released a new update for Robot Arena Survivors. It's gonna be the last pure content update before 1.0, which means that all of the base content planned for the early access has been done!

With that, two important things:
  • Game price will be updated to reflect the changes.
  • Leaderboards have been reset to offer a fresh new experience to every player, both veterans and new.


Arenas
  • Added a new arena: Omega chipset.
  • Added a new arena: Celestial bastion.
  • Improved visuals of all arenas.
User interface
  • Added a lock icon on top of the endless modes that you haven't unlocked yet.
  • Added icons on the HUD to quiclky see what weapons and ability you've upgraded or not.
Arena events
  • Critical chance's reward will no longer spawn if you already maxed-it out.
  • Reduced the amounts given by the elemental converter, now adding 250% to a specific damage type and removing 50% to the others.
  • Added a new reward: you can now get +1 reroll for your level-up reward rerolls, if you spent some of them.
  • Added a new reward: you can now have the possibility to get healed when levelling-up.
Gameplay
  • Reworked the critical chances: you can now get up-to 200% critical chances. Going beyond 100% will grant you access to super criticals, dealing twice the damage of your regular critical hits.

0.26.1 Patch

Hello there,

We've just released a new patch for Robot Arena Survivors.

Bugs fixed:
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes, depending on the amount of collectibles there are on the ground and your hardware configuration, you could get a crash after killing an elite enemy because too many of them were grabbed at the same time. We've worked on optimizing this part of the code to prevent this to cause a crash regardless of the amount collected.

We've just released a new update for Robot Arena Survivors.



This fresh update adds new playable assets using the Energy damage type, plus some extra kinetic and fire abilities!

New HCU
  • Implemented a new HCU: MK-08 Radiant Enforcer.


New abilities
  • Implemented a new ability: Laser Turrets.
  • Implemented a new ability: Laser Drones.
  • Implemented a new ability: Ion Shield.
  • Implemented a new ability: Ballistic Drones.
  • Implemented a new ability: Brazier Beacons.
  • Implemented a new ability: Saw Drones.


Gameplay
  • Added a clear warning pop-up telling you when an elite enemy is about to spawn in the arena.
  • Rescaled/resized all game assets and arenas.


Ability deck
  • Added two more preset slots, so you can now save and load a total of 5 different deck presets.
  • Sorted all abilities by their damage type.
  • All abilities in this specific menu now have their icon in the color of their damage type, making it easier to manage from a player perspective.


Improvements
  • Improved the VFX to reduce the noise when they play and their performance hit when there are a lot on screen, especially the explosions.
  • Redesigned the base kinetic projectile.


Bug fixes
  • Fixed some pivot points not being properly set on some props.
