Super Drift Blade Playtest Update #10

Hi everyone:

Thank you for all your feedback! Here's what's new in this update:

[h2]- Announcement -[/h2]

The dev team is currently prioritizing fixes and updates based on playtest reports.
"The Demo? That sneaky impostor!" "We've terminated it... for now. See you at the neeeeeeeeexxxtttt Steam Fest!"

[h2]- Playtest Update Content - [/h2]

[h3]New Content[/h3]
  • Added 9 weapon systems (stats pending final tuning).
  • Introduced region-specific enemy types across all zones.
  • Desert (Dunes of Concealment): Enemies now exhibit sand-shifting behaviors.
  • Lake (Mirror of Azure Waves): Aquatic foes gained ripple-based attacks.
  • Jungle (Shadowed Thicket): Spider-type mobs deploy web traps.
  • Snow Peaks (Frostcrown Peaks): Avalanche mechanics activated.
  • Fallen Woods (Ancient Grove Ruins): Ancient tree guardians now roam.

[h3]UI[/h3]
  • Added dynamic zone titles when entering new areas.
  • Combo counter now displays "+" instead of "!" after 7+ hits.
  • ESC key finally does what it should – PAUSE!

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Patched an NPC dialogue loop that made philosophers cry.

The Dev is currently working with playtesters to fix bugs and issues found in Playtest #1.
The Demo (battle mechanism prototype) will not be updated in the near future, but a major update is planned for a future Steam Next Fest.

  • Added an easter egg related to memory.
  • Introduced guidance for each trip to the graveyard.
  • Added hints for some puzzles.

[h3]Graphics[/h3]
  • Updated guidance cues for certain scenes.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed the issue where monster spawn points could get stuck.
  • Fixed the issue of screen switching problems in fullscreen mode.

  • Added a small storyline and tutorial before the game.
  • Introduced a new menu interface.
  • Added developer logo.

[h3]Graphics[/h3]
  • Updated the foreground of certain scenes, with plans to continue updating other scenes.
  • Updated the background of certain scenes to make puzzles appear more intuitive.

[h3]UI[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where the value bar would suddenly pop up.

[h3]Sound[/h3]
  • Adjusted sound effects for some operations.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed a bug where adjusting resolution would produce strange sound effects.
  • Fixed an issue with black edge lines.
  • Adjusted localization content.

  • Adjusted the environmental effects of the first starting forest after teleportation.
  • Adjusted the trees in the first combat area.
[h3]UI[/h3]
  • Updated the English localization of some items.
  • Added on-screen UI for taking hits.
  • Added SP recovery effects.
[h3]Sounds[/h3]
  • Added a sound effect for when character has taken a hit.
  • Added a sound effect for SP recovery.
[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Added a sound effect for the SP recovery.
  • Fixed an issue with the properties of the item “Leather Gloves”.
  • Fixed an issue with the properties of the item “Ice Bag”.
  • Fixed an issue where the refresh button was blocked from view.
  • Fixed an issue where the image would appear after adjusting the resolution.

  • Fixed an issue with the property of the item “Ice Pack”.
  • Fixed an issue where the wrong door would appear after returning to the start screen during a room transition.
  • Fixed an issue where some UIs could not be switched after switching languages.
