A New Hero Joins the Alliance – Meet Spydyr!


Hello General!

Tomorrow’s the day we march against the Spider Queen and her cult. But don't squash every spider on sight just yet! Some are friendly, so put those flip flops down. Spydyr, a deadly huntress duo skilled in shadow magic, is now a part of the Alliance. Let's hear about their mission!

Sheepy: “Welcome to the Alliance! Um… who of you two is Spydyr?”

Spydyr: “We've been hunting together so long, we've lost track of whose mind is whose. Perhaps the shadows changed both of us. Or perhaps, we were always meant to be Spydyr.”

Sheepy: “Intriguing. Did your abilities combine as well?”

Spydyr: “We are shadow and silk, sorcery and web. Our Twilight Elf sight pierces the dark, catches every whisper, and makes shadow powers bend to its call. And our spider form feels the tremors of the unseen, spin its webs, and move swiftly as the wind… Together we miss nothing, no prey can escape us.”

Sheepy: “Phew, so glad you’re on our side, then… why did you join our team?”

Spydyr: “Whispers of the cult’s return reached the Twilight Elf Council, and so an elite team of huntresses was assembled to annihilate the Spider Queen and her followers. But as we neared the bloodsydian caves, we got ambushed. We alone emerged from the carnage. Yet our hunt remains. To finish what was begun, we now walk beside the Alliance.”

Sheepy: “So you know our enemy? What can you tell us about this so-called queen?”

Spydyr: “We have only faced their pawns. Fanatics lost to their worship, devotion twisting their flesh and mind. And the spiders… they are countless, an endless tide that swallows the horizon. Tell us, little sheep, do eight legs unsettle you?”

Gulp…looks like we’re in for a nightmarish encounter with the spider queen and her brood. Luckily, we have a nightmare of our own. We can only hope that with Spydyr, with their sorcery and merciless precision, they will ensure the Spider Queen web is torn apart for good.

Meet the Surge Colossus


Hello General!

Today I bring you an interview with the enigmatic Surge Colossus, the Alliance's newest recruit. His arrival comes at a perfect time, to face the rumors of cult resurgence in the Kingdom. This arcane being is a beacon in the darkness, quite literally, thanks to his lightning abilities! Let's see what he has to share.

Sheepy: “Can you tell me about your kind? I’ve never met anyone like you before.”

Colossus: “I come from an ancient race of beings who live a secluded life on the highest mountain peaks. For millennia, my people have engaged in deep meditation, and our energy naturally creates powerful storms around us, isolating us even further. This may be why you have never seen my kind.”

Sheepy: “Why do your people choose to stay away from the world?”

Colossus: “We adhered to one principle: never interfere in the struggles of organic beings. In the ancient past, we served as protectors of the land, guardians of the vulnerable. However, our interventions often resulted in destruction, leading us to retreat—not out of fear, but because we worried about the unintended consequences of our power.”

Sheepy: “So, you must be the black sheep of your kind, given that you’re here.”

Colossus: “Although I am 900 years old, I am still considered young for my species. Curiosity led me to explore the kingdom below. I was alarmed by what I found: the cult had returned and was causing enormous suffering in the land. I hurried back to my elders and urged them to resume our role as protectors, but they refused to listen. I knew then that I had to follow my calling to join the Alliance.”
Sheepy: “That was a major decision! I imagine it has its own challenges.”

Colossus: “Yes. My great power isn’t fully under my control. I can unleash powerful storms in battle, but I risk draining my energy entirely. I must tread carefully, or risk consequences.”

Sheepy: “We’re glad to have you on our side. We’ll take good care of you!”

So, that’s it for the Surge Colossus. An amazing being with a heart full of determination and an ancient power yet to be fully mastered. Let’s welcome him to the Alliance with open hooves! Until next time…

Balance Patch: Buffs to Towers, Heroes, and Enemies


Hello Generals! As promised, we are making a big set of balance changes to Kingdom Rush Alliance.
You’ll notice we’ve buffed up the weaker towers and heroes, while some Colossal Dwarfare enemies have been strengthened mostly on Impossible difficulty.

  • Dwarven Flamespitter: Can now target flying enemies

  • Brewmasters: Halfdan attack speed buffed 1.5 sec -> 1 sec

  • Necromancer: Basic skeleton now has 50 HP (from 40) and 3-5 damage (from 1-4). Golem has 150 HP (from 120) and 8-12 dmg (from 6-10). Cooldown for Rattling Beacon was reduced in levels 1 and 2

  • Elven Stargazer: fixed attack rate change bug between some upgrades, Reload Damage increased from 4-6/10-16/20-28/32-48 to 4-6/11-18/22-32/34-52 Event Horizon Cost decreased from 250/150/150 to 250/100/100 Rising Star Damage increased from 16-24/28-42/36-54 to 18-30/28-42/36-54 Rising Star Range increased from 120 to 200 Rising Star Stun increased from 0.5 to 0.8

  • Twilight Longbows: Basic Attack Damage increased from 14-18/35-48/66-90/106-142 to 14-22/40-54/76-92/134-146 Range including from 200/220/250/280 to 200/230/260/300 Support Blades Damage changed from 10-14/14-22/24-37 to 12-16/16-24/22-34 Support Blades Dodge chance increased from 40% to 60%.

  • Cannoneer Squad: Base Cost reduced from 80/130/200/260 to 60/130/180/240 Respawn timer reduced from 10 seconds to 8 Seconds Growing Ranks cost reduced from 150/200/250 to 120/180/240 Incendiary Ammo Bomb Damage increased from 20-28/34-50/48-72 to 20-28/38-58/52-80 Incendiary Ammo Burn Damage increased from 3/7/12 to 3/8/14

  • Darksteel Hammerer: HP increased from 400 to 420 on Veteran Difficulty (450 for Impossible).

  • Rolling Sentry: Reduced HP to 450/520/640/720 and increased damage from 6-10 to 10-18

  • Brute Welder: Tower stun from 8 to 10 seconds (Impossible only)

  • Darksteel Fist: Slam skill cooldown reduced from 4 to 3 seconds ((Impossible only)

  • Mad Tinkerer: Increased Magic Res from 60% to 80% (Impossible only)

  • Darksteel Anvil: Increased Magic Res to 50% and reduced skill cooldown from 10 to 8 (both Impossible only)

  • Machinist Grymbeard: Increased scrap bomb damage from 108-72 to 145-95. Increased fire blast damage from 4 fps to 16-24 dps. Burning debuff increased damage from 4 dps to 4-12 dps and duration from 2 to 4 seconds.

  • Darksteel Hulk: Reduced “safe nodes” and HP threshold for the charge to be triggered.
