Hello, citizens of the Kingdom! 

Today, we're delving into the secrets of the Cult with an exclusive interview featuring Grimson, the elusive Twilight Elf who broke free from their grasp... at least for the most part.

I knew I would find him on the Dark Amy camp, but I couldn't have known how grim his lair would be. Adorned with half-chewed bones of countless animals, it exuded an aura more fitting for a beast than an elf. A cloaked figure emerged from the shadows to greet me:

Grimson: "THE SHEEP SEEKS ANSWERS."

A skin-tearing noise echoed loudly, as a purple, one-eyed creature emerged from Grimson's back, as if in the most grotesque of horror movies.

The Entity: "BE QUICK ABOUT IT, OR BE A SNACK."



I dashed through my notes, dreading the thought of joining the scattered bones.

Sheepy: "How did you become entangled with the cult?"

Grimson: "I WAS A WARRIOR, DISPATCHED BY THE TWILIGHT ELF COUNCIL ON A RECON MISSION TO INVESTIGATE THE ESCALATING CULT ACTIVITY IN OUR TERRITORY. YET I FELL INTO THEIR TRAP. THEY LOCKED ME IN THEIR DARK DUNGEONS... AND WORSE. "

Sheepy: "Is that ho​w you acquired your abilities?"

Grimson: "I WAS FORCED TO PARTICIPATE IN A DARK RITUAL, A TWISTED CEREMONY DESIGNED TO TRANSFORM ME INTO AN ABOMINATION. THE PAIN WAS INDESCRIBABLE, AND CORPSES OF THOSE WHO DID NOT SURVIVE LITTERED THE FLOOR AROUND ME. BUT I MANAGED TO RESIST BEING CONSUMED BY THE MONSTROUS ENTITY." 

Grimson shared how, with the Overseer entity now a part of him, he gained the power to shapeshift and flee his imprisonment, at a dire cost. This newfound ability came with a price that would forever alter his existence.

Sheepy: "If you're two beings inside one body... who of you is in charge?"

Grimson: "IT TOOK US TIME, BUT WE MADE OUR PEACE. WE WORK TOGETHER NOW. I MOSTLY MANAGE TO RETAIN CONTROL. BUT WHEN I’M IN EXTREME DANGER, IT SEEMS TO TAKE OVER AS A BASE INSTINCT FOR SURVIVAL."

Sheepy: “What makes you fight for the Alliance?”

Grimson: "I MUST DISMANTLE THE CULT. THE ATROCITIES THEY HAVE COMMITED ARE BEYOND COMPREHENSION. WITH MY FIRSTHAND KNOWLEDGE OF THE OVERSEER, AND MY SISTER'S SECRETS OF THE VOID, WE SHALL TEAR THEM DOWN."

The Entity: "DON'T ACT LIKE THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS TO US. FIGHTING ALSO MEANS A FEAST OF FLESH! EYES! LUNGS! TASTY TREATS!!



As I took my final leave from Grimson, I could not help but feel a profound sense of respect for the indomitable spirit that resided within them, a testament to the enduring power of the human (or in this case, elven) will. 

It is an undoubtable advantage to have a piece of the Overseer himself fighting in our side to stop him. A wonderful ally, yes. Yet... I'll keep well away from his den!

Pledged to King Denas, the noble Linireans, guided by the courageous Vesper, embody the essence of honor. Comprising resilient Humans, sturdy Dwarves, graceful Elves, and ancient Arboreans, among other revered beings, they all unite under the banner of the lion.

Welcome, General, to this week's interview with the Alliance ranks!

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bundle of nerves for today’s meeting with the Grim Wraiths, the frightening specters that fight even after death.

Perhaps I should call in sick for the day…? No, no, I won’t back down! Courage runs through the wool of my ancestors, brave sheep all of them!



And so, despite my nerves, I made my way towards the Dark Army camp.

The Wraith’s Mausoleum was an ominous structure to behold. It shined with an ethereal glow that seemed to defy the laws of nature.

The air became cold all of a sudden, and a shiver went down my spine.

Wraith: "Another fleeting soul seeks audience with the timeless wraiths..."



As I whirled around, three otherworldly specter warrious materialized behind me. Startled, I stammered:

Sheepy: "Wha... how did you sneak up on me like that?!?"

Wraith: "Unlike your mortal kind, we are not bound to the physical plane. Unbound, we and glide through the shadows. There lies our advantage."

I did my best to regain my composure. After all, I'm a professional!

Sheepy: "Were you alive once? What happened to you?"

Wraith: "In our mortal days, we roamed as band of mercenaries. Death claimed us on the battlefield, as fate decreed. Yet beyond death's grasp, our unity endured unbroken. The eternal rest veils us, for an unyielding hunger for combat pulls us back, compelling our return to satisfy this endless thirst."

Sheepy: "What drew you to join the Dark Army and the Alliance?"

Wraith: "Vez'nan promised us the symphony of screams and blood that our souls crave. For us, the prospect of battle and an enemy to vanquish is a call we cannot ignore; it is all that we need to heed the eternal call to arms."

Wrapping up the eerie encounter with the Grim Wraiths, I couldn't shake off the chill that clung to the air like a haunting melody.

These Wraiths believe in nothing, and answer to no-one. It's a good thing they are on our side... for they are a powerful ally and a dreadful enemy. Their extraordinary powers surpass even the wildest dreams of the living.

Note to self: perhaps a less spooky interview next time.

Hello General! Welcome to our weekly interview of the ranks in the Alliance camp!

I best be on my best behavior today, for I'm meeting none other than the avatar of justice: the majestic dragon Lumenir and her sworn Paladin Order.

The clouds appeared to part as I approached their campsite, a celestial sun ray gleaming down upon their camping site.

Their barracks, colossal and grand, embellished with flags and celestial symbols, gave an air of a castle rather than a temporary structure.

Three Paladins were standing guard on the entrance of the barrack's wooden door. As I approached, they fell to their knees and kneeled solemnly, leaning on their swords.

Sheepy: “You're too gallant, but you don't need to kneel to before…”

I couldn’t finish the sentence, as I heard a thunderous stomp echo behind me. I turned, only to discover that the reverence was not meant for me. I too, knelt in awe before the towering form of the luminous blue dragon.



Lumenir: “RISE, BRIGHT SOULS.”

The trio of paladins responded in unison: “Let there be light!”

Sheepy: "I appreciate you taking the time for this interview. It's not often that I have the opportunity to meet the legendary Lightbringer herself, or members of such a distinguished ancient Order. How did it all begin?"

Lumenir: "AGES PAST, A FEARLESS KNIGHT NAMED SOL GRACED THE REALM WITH HIS NOBLE AND RIGHTFUL DEEDS. HIS COURAGE AND HONOR INSPIRED ME TO VIEW HUMANS WITH RENEWED HOPE.

Lumenir: "I BESTOWED MY BLESSING UPON HIM, THUS MARKING THE BEGINNING OF AN ORDER DEDICATED TO ILLUMINATING THE KINGDOM AND CLEANSING THE LAND."
Sir Hansi: "For millennia, our Paladin Order has strived to emulate Sol and prove ourselves deserving of the Lightbringer's blessing."

Sir Kiske: “Our entire lives are devoted to this sacred mission. Lumenir's light shines the brightest, and grants us powers to smite thy evil”.



Sheepy: “Do you only bless Paladins, Lumenir?”

Lumenir: “I BESTOW MY BLESSINGS UPON THOSE WITH PURE HEARTS,  WHO STRIVE TO BRING JUSTICE AND KINDNESS TO THE LAND. SELDOM THERE'S ANY MORE DESERVING THAN PALADIN SWORN AND TRAINED TO UPHOLD THESE VIRTUES.”

Sheepy: “I see. I hope you don't take this the wrong way… What about Vez'nan’s crusade? Where were you then, Lumenir?”

Lumenir: “I AM ANCIENT, YOUNG ONE. I HAVE LIVED FOR MANY EONS AND FOUGHT COUNTLESS BATTLES. I MUST USE MY ENERGY WISELY, ONLY FOR THE MOST PERILOUS OF THREATS. MY KNIGHTS PROTECT THE LAND IN MY STEAD”.

Sir Udo: “It was a dark time for our Order. We must humbly confess that we had become vain and prideful, and paid the price for it. Now, we have returned to the ways of old, faithfully guided by the light of the Lightbringer once more. We won't falter”.



Filled with determination, ferocity, and justice, they all emanated an unwavering resolve. I concluded the interview then, satisfied with everything I had learned.

Lumenir: “SHINE ON, SHEEPY.”

Back in my tent, I carefully studied my notes, trying to grasp the enormity of having such an ancient order and revered deity fighting on our side.

It was clear that Lumenir and her Knights were the beacons of hope we needed to defeat the darkness. It is said that the power of kindness and justice always prevails, after all.
Would they accept sheep in their ranks? I wonder...
