The Book of Outcasts is released
[p]Hello everyone!
Finally, we’re here — with the completed game.[/p][p][/p][p]We began The Book of Outcasts four years ago, but the real development started in spring 2024. It’s by far the most complex project we’ve ever made. Combining a visual novel with an RPG dungeon crawler turned out to be a real challenge for our small team.[/p][p][/p][p]And because that wasn’t complicated enough, we decided to add both playable genders — giving you the option to play as either a male or female character.[/p][p][/p][p]Later came another big test: when the “payment processors” issue appeared, we had to reorganize the entire project and remove a lot of content. Graphics, text, animations — once you cut so much, the whole system stops working like before. Sometimes we even had to read through 250,000 words line by line just to remove certain “triggering” terms.[/p][p][/p][p]But despite all that, it was fun. I truly enjoyed reading and reworking the story. Sometimes I couldn’t wait for the next script from the writer just to find out what happens next.[/p][p]
It was also a great learning experience — I even learned 2D animation! When you meet the final boss, you’ll see what I mean.[/p][p][/p][p]As for additional content: if you’d like to get more free extras for the game, please visit our Discord or Telegram — links are available on the game’s Steam page.[/p][p][/p][p]For those who haven’t played our previous Conussia games, we’ve prepared special discounts. I recommend checking the bundle — you’ll get all the titles at a great price and discover the world of Conussia, which will help you understand the background leading up to this story.[/p][p][/p][p]And finally — the future.[/p][p]
We’re already thinking about Outcasts 2. The Steam page is under review, and once it’s approved, I’ll add a widget here. With the UI and combat systems already established, and with our gained experience, development will go much faster this time. Of course, it depends on how this game is received — if players truly want more.[/p][p][/p][p]Looking at your wishlists and your posts, we can see your trust in us — and that means a lot.[/p][p]
Thank you for that!
