Hotfix
Changes
• Reduce special elite HP based on stage, and further reduce the skeletal abomination scaling and aggressiveness

In the near future I'll also be looking at general enemy scaling, and may be moving some scaling to be associated with difficulty options instead of the default.

Hotfix

 • Archer and vacuum elites no longer use their abilities without line of sight

Hotfix for Elites

The recently added elite monsters are intended to add variety and some new ways for players to interact with enemies, not significantly increase difficulty. This change addresses the skeletal abomination elite, which absorbs power from other nearby enemies and was becoming too powerful too quickly in early stages. Its base movement speed has been decreased and the rate at which is gains power has been decreased, and scales back up to its original value at stage 5 (The Crossroads) to accommodate the player's lack of control over dealing with it or leaving it alone (or perhaps purposefully feeding it) early on.

Hotfix

 • If you are prevented from losing life when taking damage to life, this now shows up as life damage taken in the post-game screen (instead of being absent). This is purely a visual change.
 • Fixed orbs of divination offering tiers of modifiers they should not
 • Reduce the movement speed of one of the new elite enemies

Minor content update
New Elite Enemies
[p] A few special elite enemies will now appear in stages after the first - these chaotic entities do not distinguish between friend and foe, and are as much of a threat to the other enemies as they are to you. [/p]
Other improvements
• [p] Added a keyword for bosses with the following text: "Bosses are the most formidable of foes, and possess a variety of special abilities. They are also extremely durable, taking less damage than other enemies. The effect of durability increases with difficulty and stage level, and with the amount of damage taken recently. For example, an early game boss will take ~16-25% more damage for each 2x incoming damage and a late game boss will take ~11-15% more for each 2x incoming."[/p]
 • [p] Added tutorial messages for the first time a player receives a buff/debuff (the description of buffs and debuffs can be found in the character details page within the equipment screen)[/p]
 • [p] Buffs and debuffs are now listed directly under character stats on the character details page[/p]
