Patch #6: The Achievements Update

The latest update has been released: Release v1.1.0d - Achievements

In today's patch we’ve introduced 38 new Steam Achievements, organized into six categories: Exalted Feats, Covenants, Voidcraft, Dominion, Stratagems, Massacre, and Hosts of War. These challenges are designed to push you to approach Void War in fresh ways, adding new layers of depth and replayability to the experience you already know.[/p][p][/p][h2]Retroactive Achievements[/h2][p]Some but not all Achievements will be retroactive, meaning the game can check your Archives data and automatically complete Achievements whose data can be verified in your past runs. Unfortunately most Achievements rely on data that was never stored in past versions of the game, so those will have to be completed in v1.1.0d or later.[/p][p][/p][h2]Additional Changes[/h2][p]We’ve also rolled out the usual round of UI improvements, bug fixes, and balance adjustments inspired by player feedback. The new Dismiss Crew button makes it simple to clear unwanted crew from your ship, particularly handy when chasing the Covenant achievements. The commander and ship selection menus now provide detailed tracking of victories by commander and Torment level. Poison mechanics have also been refined: higher stacks now deal damage more rapidly, so piling on massive poison will drain enemy life far faster than before. Several underpowered units have been strengthened: Imperial Marshals now deal double damage in burning rooms, while Blood Golems have gained the ability to raise Thralls.[/p][p][/p][h2]Version Number: Release 1.1.0d[/h2][h3]Content[/h3]

Patch #5: The Doomweaver Update

[/p][p]The latest update has been released: Release v1.0.5 - Doomweaver

This patch introduces the brand new 13th commander to Void War. We originally planned to commit to 12 commanders, but we ended up having so many ideas that more than 12 was pretty much inevitable. [/p][p][/p][p]The first of these new commanders is the Doomweaver. She is a powerful battle-psyker with a once-per-fight spell that has two different effects depending on how you cast it:

Threads of Ruin - If manning Command Throne, instantly kill the highest HP crew in target room. Otherwise teleport to target room and deal 15 HP damage to hostile crew.[/p][p][/p][h2]Achievements Beta[/h2][p]Today’s update also brings us a preview beta version of the next update, Release v1.1.0, which will include the 38 new Steam Achievements that some of you may have already seen in the Steam interface. Patch #4: The Bellerophon Update

[p]Greetings Commander,
[/p][p]The latest update has been released: Release v1.0.4b - Bellerophon

Today's patch comes with the powerful new variant of Light Destroyer known as Bellerophon. Forced to flee mid-construction by the arrival of an Imperial purgation fleet, the half-finished Bellerophon nonetheless carries such advanced systems and armaments that observers believe its combat potential rivals or even surpasses that of any known warship.[/p][p][/p][p]In addition to the new ship, we've also included a few provisional fixes for several recurring bugs that have been present since launch, notably the profile corruption bug (the one that wipes your save and prevents you from launching the game entirely). This latest version of Void War should be able to detect profile corruption, and instead of crashing immediately it will attempt to load a backup or simply create a new profile and notify you of the corruption.

As always, if you have lost progress due to profile corruption, you can always post a bug report in the Discord and we will happy to reconstruct your profile for you. Thanks for your patience.

Lastly, we have a few random fixes and tweaks: Seeker Missiles felt a bit overtuned so that needed a change, more nuanced rules for recalling permanent AI-controlled friendly crew, and an in-game Announcements menu which will be useful for posting patch notes and any other important updates. [p]Greetings Commander,[/p][p]The latest update has been released: Release v1.0.3a - Apocalypso [/p][p]Apocalypso is the void-ravaged C variant of the 'Ancient' hull class. Lost for centuries, the enigmatic craft recently re-emerged from an unusually volatile riftstorm on the fringes of Imperial space. Around the same time, there have been increasing reports of strange, biomechanoid starships surfacing across multiple exclusion sectors. Patch #2: The Lantern of Ash Update

[p]Greetings Commander,[/p][p]The latest update has been released: Release v1.0.2a - Lantern of Ash[/p][p][/p][p]This update brings us the B variant of the Light Destroyer hull class, a prototype warship known as the Lantern of Ash. This new ship variant comes equipped with an Imperial Centurion, an Inferno Fougasse, a newly improved Bio-Regenerator module, and a suite of supporting equipment designed to maximize the module's effectiveness.[/p][p][/p][p]In addition to the new ship, we've included a few minor stability and bug fixes, plus one tweak to Major Threats: they now contribute to your score and will be displayed properly in the end game stats screen as well as the Archives menu. (Note: Archives entries for Major Threats from runs prior to this patch will appear as “Unknown.”)
