Demo Patch Notes #2

Thank you for playing our demo and reporting the bugs you've encountered. Below is a list of fixes we've implemented.

[h2]--TAVERNS--[/h2]
All Tavern fixes require a new save game.
  • Taverns now contain a "Lodgings" sublocation.
  • These have a high comfort modifier and always spawn a bed.
  • Coins are now properly transfered to Tavern keeper's inventory when paying for a room (And can be stolen back).
  • Fixed Bounty contracts not properly rewarding blueprints and mutation elixirs.
  • Fixed Pact Broker's bounty board appearing while trading with the Pact Broker.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur if the player talks to the Tavern Keeper outside of the Tavern.

[h2]--LIQUIDS AND DRINKING--[/h2]
  • The player can now properly gather liquids from any liquid source.
  • Updated info message language to indicate that containers can't contain mismatched liquids (i.e. water and blood).
  • Improved thirst-related info message language clarity.
  • You can now drink liquids even when you're full (This is a temporary fix to allow emptying of liquid containers while item action selection is being worked on).

[h2]--COMFORT SYSTEM--[/h2]
  • Comfort system has been implemented, affects what % of fatigue the player can restore while sleeping.
  • Comfort level is dynamically calculated based on various factors. Currently the most important factor is the location the player is currently in.
  • Comfort level breakdown can be seen by hovering over the fatigue button on the world hud or character info screen.

[h2]--OTHER--[/h2]
  • World generation progress is now displayed.
  • Made tar leaf smoke a craftable item and buffed it's fatigue reduction to -4 (blueprint can discovered by finding oily resin or rough thread).
  • Smoked Mite Bites now reduce hunger by 24.
  • Fleshmite spitters now properly drop Fleshmite Spitter Glands.
  • Cooking on the Dryrock campfire is no longer considered a crime.
  • Blueprint icons changed to item icons to make it easier to distinguish blueprints.
  • Lockpicking should now work correctly.
  • Updated lockpicking action tooltip to display "Devices" skill requirement.
  • Added several missing item icons;.
  • Added info messages when items are being given/received through dialogue.
  • Added info message when player starts using a crafting/cooking station.
  • Fixed several Quest dialogue related crashes.
  • Fixed several mutation-related crashes.
  • Fixed a crash when stealing an item while inventory is full.
  • A number of other smaller bug fixes.


[h2]--KNOWN ISSUES--[/h2]
We're aware of a number of known issues that we're looking into:
  • Reloading an auto-save that's been made before a manual save makes it impossible to load a manual save while in-game, going back to the main menu and loading a manual save from the character profile screen should resolve this issue.
  • The Tavern Keeper won't actually close the door to the room once 24 hours have passed after the player has bought access to lodgings.
  • The player can repeatedly buy access to lodgings, this will do nothing other than make the Tavern Keeper richer.
