Happy Holislays to one and all! Our holiday winter event is here, plus as a bonus, we've also introduced a treacherous NEW TRAP: the Doom-a-rang! Read on for more dreadful details!

WHAT'S NEW: [/p]
  • [p]The Doom-a-rang flings onto the scene! This new Auto Trap flies through heroes and back, dealing damage both ways! Much more reliable than real-life boomerags. (Seriously, have you tried one before?)[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Our Happy Holislays Event is here! Included are SIX brand new Event Stages, dozens of new holiday-themed items and rewards to collect, Event Quests, and more! Available for a limited time, access it through the "Events" button on the Main Menu.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Five new Baddie Bonuses have been added with the holiday event: Frostflame, Owvalanche, Fortunate Freezer, Frostbit Crits, and Iced Out[/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]Snap a stylish pic of your decked-out Control Room in our new Photo Mode! Access via the camera button in the Spoils Screen. You can save photos on this screen to your machine and share with friends![/p][p][/p]
  • [p]New Achievement, "Challvenge Mode": Complete Night 1 in Roguevenge with 4 orange "Challenge Baddie Bonuses" activated[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Added new Spoils Screen Filter for "Challenge Baddie Bonuses"[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]You can now view your Active Baddie Bonuses in the pause screen of both Classic Mode and Roguevenge! Tap on any Baddie Bonus in the list to refresh yourself on their effects.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]We have performed our biggest game optimization yet and improved overall game performance and stability, especially on older devices.[/p]
[p][/p][p] BALANCE CHANGES: [/p]
  • [p]The Axe-o-Matic and the Troopkin's damage output has been slightly increased. The Axe-o-Matic can now crit, whereas it couldn't before.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]The Gothy Desk Spoil's Baddie Bonus is now "Blackout", replacing "Diescount"[/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]The Hockey Mask Spoil's Baddie Bonus is now "Death and Taxes", replacing "Diescount"[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]The Gold Pointy Crown's Baddie Bonus is now "Death and Taxes", replacing "So Pointy"[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]The Happy Pumpkin Spoil's Baddie Bonus is now "Gourd's Gambit", replacing "Harvestor of Souls". Its rarity has also been increased.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Minifridge now has the new Baddie Bonus "Frostbit Crits", replacing "Expiration Date"[/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]Holislay Hat now has the new Challenge Baddie Bonus, "Iced Out", replacing "North Polenishment"[/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]"North Polenishment" Baddie Bonus effect trigger chance increased from 20% to 30%[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]"Gift Receipt" Baddie Bonus scream refund amount increased from 10% to 15%[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]"Lit Crits" Baddie Bonus effect trigger chance increased from 20% to 30%[/p][p][/p]
[p] BUGFIXES: [/p]
  • [p]"Blackout" Challenge Baddie Bonus now stacks its challenge effect properly[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed Event Quests not properly saving quest completion when completing a quest midstage and quitting out before fully finishing the stage. Now the player can quit early and retain their quest completion status.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed the green "buff arrow" in Roguevenge on traps showing as a square[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed a performance stutter when first taking a trap from the trap shelf on a new stage[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed numerous errors in various parts of the game that could result in soft locks, crashes, or other issues[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Applied various other stability improvements

1.4.4 Post Halloween Bugfixes and Improvements

[p]CASTLE DOOMBAD CLASSIC[/p][p]v1.4.4 - 11/10/25[/p][p][/p][p]Tonight's update is another bugfix and improvement patch. Thank you for playing, and please look forward to more new content updates in the coming weeks!

BUGFIXES:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed rare occasions in which stages could get stuck and never end due to heroes falling off ladders, down through the castle floor and offscreen
    [/p]
  • [p]Fixed a few of the Halloween Event Daily Quests from not displaying the proper requirements and also not completing correctly[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed the early game menu tutorials being able to get stuck if the player accidentally tapped the 'Customize" button on the trap shelf
    [/p]
  • [p]Improved the Sparkkin's pathing in the castle and adding more prevention against it being able to get stuck in small rooms/hallways
    [/p]
  • [p]Numerous errors fixed in various parts of the game that should further improve stability against soft locks, incorrect hero and trap behavior, and performance issues[/p]

[/p][p][/p][p]We hope you've been enjoying our big "Trap or Treat" update, and we also want to thank everyone who provided helpful feedback! Today's update includes numerous fixes and improvements, which you can read below. Let's keep the spookiness going through November!
[/p][p]ADDITIONS AND CHANGES:[/p]
  • [p]The speedrun timer in Roguevenge now pauses whenever there's no heroes inside the castle (such as when heroes are spawning or approaching from outside)
    [/p]
  • [p]The movement speed of the Ghost Toaster heroes has been slightly reduced. Elite Ghost Toasters have also had their movement speed and health reduced.
    [/p]
  • [p]The previous update introduced a calculation error for the Giant Boulder of Doom that caused it to unintentionally one-hit-kill more targets than intended (especially high-health targets). In addition to fixing this issue, we have also made several changes to the way the GBOD functions, including: the GBOD now adds bonus damage depending on its speed (whereas before, speed did not affect damage), the GBOD's max damage-per-hit has been reduced, and its overall durability has been increased.[/p]
[p]BUGFIXES:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed several errors with the Ghost Toaster heroes that would cause issues with their pathing and attacks
    [/p]
  • [p]Fixed the booby trap bomb of the "Sinister Security" bonus/nightmare sometimes triggering too slowly to stop fast heroes from picking up the princess. Also fixed the bomb sometimes detecting heroes through walls.
    [/p]
  • [p]Fixed Goldkins sometimes not spawning when they should (both with the associated Baddie Bonus and Nightmare)
    [/p]
  • [p]Fixed Trap Shelf icons sometimes getting stuck at a large size when affected by the "Scream Cost" Haunted Statues
    [/p]
  • [p]Fixed "reward currency explosion" particles disappearing before flying to your bank in the Event Menu. (Visual issue only)

  • [p]Fixed several other errors that should improve general game stability [/p]

Halloween Update hotfix patch 2

Today we have another small hotfix patch with incremental fixes and improvements, including:

TODAY'S BUG FIXES:[/p][p]- Fixed the "Event Daily Quest Reroll" sometimes not working[/p][p]- Fixed several possible crashes with the game's new content[/p][p]- Fixed several errors that could cause slowdown (we are continuing to look into more performance improvements)

Halloween Update hotfix patch 1

[/p][p]Thank you to everyone who has already checked out our big new Halloween update and provided helpful feedback! Today we've released a small hotfix patch with a few quick fixes.

We are continuing to look at all reports closely and investigating other issues, and will provide another fix and improvement patch next week.

TODAY'S BUG FIXES:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the Space Madness chapter suddenly being inaccessible,[/p]
  • [p]In Classic Mode, fixed the chapter headers on the Chapter Select Screen sometimes being mismatched,[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the background/environment art having its position shifted unintentionally on Summer Slaycation and Space Madness[/p]
