The time has come. After months of demon-smashing, turret-tweaking, and meth-lab-refining (in lore, obviously), I'm proud to say that Hillbilly Hellfire has been officially submitted for review on Steam.

That’s right—the game is done.
Barring any surprises during the review process, we are aiming for a June release.

Where to start? i soft-launched the demo last week, and the response has been absolutely incredible. The number of Wishlists we’ve received has been overwhelming, and I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who’s taken the time to check out Hillbilly Hellfire.

I sincerely hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed making it—this game has been a wild ride from day one, and seeing people actually playing and having fun means the world to me.

Now, I want to take a second to address a question I’ve been seeing a lot:

Why is saving disabled?
Hillbilly Hellfire is meant to be a short, high-intensity experience, especially in the demo. The goal isn’t to have players binging it for hours—it’s just a taste of the full game, which I’m planning to release in March. If you’re enjoying it that much, that’s awesome (seriously, I love you for that), but there are tons of other great demos out right now—go check them out!

Some of my personal favorites so far have been:

🛡️ Stronghold Crusaders by FireFly – Classic castle-building, but better than ever.
🌀 Twisted Tower by Thomas Brush & 3D Realms – A punchy, playful, yet dark homage to Bioshock that oozes ATMOSphere.

So go try some demos, have fun, and maybe come back and try another round of Hillbilly Hellfire when its ready for you to blast some more demons.
