Community Update 1.3 + Big News

[p]Survivors,[/p][p]you keep sending us ideas, bug reports and “what if we could…” messages. Community Update 1.3 is our way of saying: we hear you. Here is what has changed, all based on your feedback.[/p][p]PS: Keep reading - the last one is the most important ːzoteː[/p]
🗝 Rebirth, now improved
[p]Rebirth was a powerful idea, but in practice it felt like you were giving up a lot for too little. Time to fix that.[/p][p]If you choose Rebirth, a new event can now spawn on maps: Pandora’s Box.
Open it and things get serious fast. Tough enemies will spill out and try to end your run on the spot.[/p][p]Defeat them and you will receive three rounds of rewards:[/p]
  • [p]each round lets you pick 1 out of 4 Improvements for your existing Powers[/p]
[p]This is meant to help you really use those extra Power slots you unlocked with Rebirth by leveling up much faster.[/p]
🎯 Mouse controls and smarter aiming
[p]This one was one of the most common requests on Steam and Discord.[/p]
  • [p]You can now play using mouse controls if that is your preferred way to survive the hordes[/p]
  • [p]Most Powers also gained an option to auto target the nearest enemy, which makes aiming smoother and more accessible, especially for new players[/p]
[p]For controller users we also added a small but important tweak:[/p]
  • [p]if auto aim is enabled, letting go of the analog stick now turns auto aim off, so you can instantly switch back from the manual precision when you need it[/p]
🇮🇹 New language: Italian
[p]Welcome to the battlefield, Italian Survivors![/p][p]Update 1.3 adds full Italian support in menus, UI and gameplay.
It was one of the most requested languages, so we are very happy to finally say: benvenuti.[/p]
🛡 Structures, crits and balance
[p]A few balance changes aimed at keeping late game runs challenging, but fair:[/p]
  • [p]Structures now gain HP over time and with difficulty
Your defenses toughen up as the run goes on, so they are not instantly deleted in the late stages.[/p]
  • [p]Critical Hit Chance now has a cap
Crit chance can no longer reach 100%. High end builds should still feel powerful, but there should always be some risk.[/p]
🛠 Quality of life improvements
[p]A lot of small changes that should make every run feel smoother:[/p]
  • [p]Nezha’s Power now starts in the direction of the nearest enemy instead of straight ahead, which makes his opening moments much more reliable[/p]
  • [p]Pythia’s Power has been strengthened so it feels more useful early on rather than “good later, if you manage to survive weak now”[/p]
  • [p]Post run summary flow was cleaned up[/p]
    • [p]first tap on Space shows the stat screen[/p]
    • [p]second tap returns you to the main menu
No more accidentally skipping your summary because you pressed Space too fast.[/p]
  • [p]Rebirth button is now easier to see and understand, so you do not miss it when you are ready for a fresh start[/p]
  • [p]Highlighting Hard difficulty now clearly explains that this mode is where you earn Divine Crystals, which was one of the most common questions[/p]
  • [p]When you reach the maximum level for a class, the game now makes it clear, so you know you squeezed every drop of power out of that Survivor[/p]
🤝 You are in the game
[p]One change that means a lot to us.[/p][p]We have added a new section in the Credits that highlights the community’s contribution to Achilles: Survivor.[/p][p]If you have a moment, open the Credits, scroll through, and remember: you are part of this story with us.[/p][p] [/p][p]But wait…[/p]
🌒 Somewhere far, far away from Tartarus…
[p]You survived a fight with Hades himself. Now try surviving the night on an island the Crown erased from its maps.[/p][p]We’re excited to introduce our next game: BRIGHTFALL.[/p][p]It’s an open world survival-craft roguelite for one up to 4 players, set on a XVII century plague born island off the English coast.[/p][p]If you enjoy Achilles: Survivor for its mythological vibe and that "one more run" feeling, Brightfall takes that tension into a shared world you can explore with friends (or alone! both options are good!). You expand a fragile outpost, manage light as your most precious resource, and watch the island change as each failed expedition reshapes it.[/p][p]If that sounds like your kind of trouble, check out the Steam page and add Brightfall to your wishlist here:

[dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Making this game wouldn’t be possible without you. So thank you-[/p][p]-and see you on the battlefield, Survivors.[/p][p]~ Dark Point Games Team[/p]

🎃 Hades’ Little Trick (and Your Treat)

[p]Survivors,[/p][p]The air feels different this week. Perhaps it’s the chill of autumn sweeping through Toruń, or perhaps it’s the wind from Tartarus itself creeping through the cracks between worlds. The fires burn lower, and the scent of smoke and carved pumpkin mixes strangely with ash.[/p][p]We’d call it a seasonal bug, but no. This time, it’s definitely a trick by Hades himself.[/p][p]To celebrate mortals’ curious habit of mixing fear with laughter, the Lord of the Dead has twisted the Basements into a grotesque parody of harvest cheer. What once hid secrets of the underworld now brims with pumpkins - foul, grinning things that spitting at anything that moves.[/p][p][/p][p]Fear not, though. The spell will fade in a week’s time, and the pumpkins will return to whatever corner of the Underworld they escaped from.[/p][p]Yet not everything will vanish.[/p][p]In his strange generosity, Hades has allowed a few of his servants to stay. These skeletons, risen from Tartarus and crowned with pumpkins in place of heads, have decided to fight for you instead of against you. You can find them in the Workshop and enlist them to aid you in your next run. [/p][p]Consider it a treat from the God of the Dead himself.[/p][p][/p]

🕯️ Your Halloween Checklist
• [p]Explore the pumpkin-filled Basements before they disappear next week.[/p]
  • [p]Recruit your skeletal allies and let them rattle beside your Myrmidons.[/p]
  • [p]Enjoy the eerie calm while it lasts… The dark never stays quiet for long.[/p]

[p]Whether you are fighting the undead in Tartarus or watching the mist roll over the river here in Toruń, we wish you a hauntingly good Halloween. [/p][p]Stay warm, Survivors. It's so cold here ːzoteː[/p][p]~ The Dark Point Games Team[/p]

Update 1.2 - Born Anew

[p]Hello, Survivors! [/p][p]We’ve been hard at work these past few weeks, combing through your feedback and chasing down the most reported issues. Update 1.2 is a smaller patch, but it brings something for everyone: a new endgame feature, a golden new structure, and plenty of fixes and quality-of-life tweaks. [/p][p][/p]
✨ New Endgame Feature: Rebirth
[p]For those of you who already maxed out the Favour tree, there is now a new challenge. You can sacrifice all that progress in exchange for an extra Power slot, opening up new build possibilities and pushing your late-game runs even further. [/p][p][/p][p][/p]
🏛️ New Structure: Midas Statue
[p]What’s better than gold? More gold!
That’s why our new structure, Midas Statue, can transform enemies into gold… and make them drop Gold when slain. [/p][p][/p][p][/p]
🛠️ Quality of Life Improvements
[p]You asked for more clarity and smoother play, so here’s what we added:[/p]
  • [p]Kamikaze enemies now play a distinct sound effect. They are easier to notice and a bit more fun to dodge.[/p]
  • [p]Hold time shortened when using reroll, so you get back to action sooner.[/p]
  • [p]Added new on-screen tips to help explain options and mechanics, so new and returning players learn faster.[/p]
  • [p]You can now leave the Workshop with ESC, which makes navigating menus quicker.[/p]
[p][/p]
⚖️ Balance Changes
• [p]Dodge cap introduced: Player Dodge has been capped to preserve challenge. Say goodbye to your immortal builds… [/p]
  • [p]Shield Throw buffed: Higher damage and longer duration make the Power more comparable with the rest.[/p]
  • [p]Scaling adjusted for Locus of Repulsion so it remains useful without overwhelming other tools at high levels.[/p]
  • [p]Status Strength improvements are now available for Pronomus’ Power from the start.[/p]
  • [p]Blades of Madness upgraded: Starts with 3 blades (up from 2), with higher damage and a slightly longer duration for stronger crowd control.[/p]
  • [p]Reduced Wrath of Ares cooldown so the Power feels more dynamic during fights.[/p]
[p][/p]
🐛 Bug Fixes
[p]And of course, plenty of fixes to make your runs smoother:[/p]
  • [p]The Workshop no longer breaks after very long sessions.[/p]
  • [p]Enemies killed by Myrmidons spawned from the Trojan Horse now properly count toward the “enemies killed by buildings” objective on Greece Map 4.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed cases where some attacks collided with incorrect objects in The Chambers of Bridges.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected French localization for clearer UI and descriptions.[/p]
  • [p]Removed the Rift circle objective element. This now matches how event-spawned Rifts behave, improving consistency.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed uneven ground on one location that could cause movement issues.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected Medusa Statue category color to Support, matching its true category.[/p]
  • [p]On ultrawide monitors, the event countdown seconds no longer overlap the minimap.[/p][p][/p]
One last note for our console players:
[p]the PlayStation and Xbox updates are almost done cooking. Once testing and store certification are complete, those versions will jump straight to 1.2, bringing all the content from Updates 1.1 and 1.2 in one go. We are also wrapping up work on the Nintendo Switch, which will launch directly with 1.2 so everyone starts on equal footing.[/p][p][/p]
💬 How are you all doing?
[p]Beside working on updates, we’ve been sneaking in some time with Silksong ːsilksongː. Team Cherry did it again, "just one more try on this boss... One more, I promise..."[/p][p]\[Cut to a clock showing 4 AM][/p][p]ːshermaː[/p][p]Thank you for being here with us. We can’t wait to see you all on the battlefield, no matter where you play. It’s getting very autumn-y here in Poland, but of course your support keeps us warm. 💙[/p][p]~Dark Point Games Team[/p][p][/p]

Write Your Legend in Gold with our New Supporter Pack DLC

[p]Survivors,[/p][p]In just over two weeks since release, you’ve carried Achilles: Survivor further than we could have alone. Hotfix 1.01, Hotfix 1.02, Crash Fix, and Update 1.1: The Gift of Midas were all built from your feedback, your bug reports, and your determination to make every run better.[/p][p]Some of you have asked for a way to support our games beyond just playing them. That’s why we made this small Supporter Pack - an optional DLC inspired by King Midas himself.[/p][p]Disclaimer: it’s purely cosmetic. There will be no P2W in our games, we’re strongly against it.[/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel]
So, what do you get?
• [p]Your Survivors can wear gold. Every Survivor has a Midas‑touched version you can choose to look more stylish in battle.[/p]
  • [p]You can switch looks instantly in the character select screen, swapping between gold and your usual appearance whenever you feel like it.[/p]
  • [p]Your main menu shows a unique supporter badge that quietly says I was part of building this - a small signal other Myrmidons will recognize.[/p]
And the most important perk:
[p]Your support helps us keep updating Achilles: Survivor, move our next project forward, and bring new worlds from our little studio in Toruń to your screen ❤️[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Whether you pick it up or not, you’ve already given us something more precious than gold: your trust. It’s the one thing we can’t mine, craft, or forge. [/p][p]So thank you all for being here with us.

Update 1.1 - The Gift of Midas

[p]Survivors - [/p][p]we didn’t want you waiting long.[/p][p]It’s been just over two weeks since the full release of Achilles: Survivor, and you’ve already filled our Discord, reviews, and inboxes with feedback. Some of it was praise (thank you 💙), some was bug reports (thank you, too!), and plenty was “can you please fix this now?”[/p][p]The answer is “yes, of course, we will try our best!”[/p][p]So we rolled up our sleeves, grabbed a pot of molten gold from King Midas’ vault, and forged Update 1.1 as quickly as we could. Almost every change you’ll read here comes directly from your comments and ideas.[/p][p][/p]
✨ New Power: Tears of Midas
[p]Fire golden projectiles from both sides of your Survivor, slicing through enemies with style worthy of a king’s treasury. [/p][p]King Midas was said to turn everything he touched into gold - an extraordinary gift that became his curse. In Achilles: Survivor, his tears fell heavy, each drop carrying the weight of his regret, and the power to destroy what they touched. Those tears take form of bright, golden projectiles from both sides of your Survivor, cutting through enemy ranks. [/p][p]Their radiant arcs make them perfect for sweeping aside entire groups and keeping the battlefield clear on every flank. This power is available for all Survivors.[/p][p][/p]
🌍 New Language: Portuguese
[p]Now fully supported in menus, UI, and gameplay - welcome to the battlefield, Survivors from Portugal and Brazil![/p][p][/p]
🛠️ Quality of Life Improvements
[p]Our first priority was to address the most frustrating, game-breaking moments - like getting stuck in buildings or dealing with those kamikaze enemies you’ve told us so much about.[/p]
  • [p]Added a Pause Menu “Unstuck” button so you can instantly free yourself if you get trapped by buildings or terrain.[/p]
  • [p]Made Kamikaze enemies easier to spot and reduced their damage so they’re still dangerous, but no longer punishingly unfair.[/p]
  • [p]Gave mid-bosses a small chance to drop the Magnetic Harp, making those fights more rewarding.[/p]
  • [p]Added a progress bar for timed events so you know exactly when the next one will start, plus a toggle in settings if you prefer a cleaner screen.[/p]
  • [p]Made event and stone deposit icons on the minimap flash briefly when they appear so you can react faster.[/p]
  • [p]Added a “How to Play” reminder popup before your first run so new players know where to find tips - shown only once, so it won’t annoy you.[/p]
  • [p]Added controller vibration when you take damage so hits feel more impactful.[/p]
  • [p]The Basement and Rift circles caused too much confusion, so we replaced them with timers so you instantly understand how those mechanics work. [/p]
  • [p]Added E and Q keyboard shortcuts to scroll tabs left and right, so you can navigate menus faster without touching the mouse.[/p]
[p][/p]
🛠️ UI Improvements
[p]Many of you told us the UI made it harder to play than it should be, so we’ve cleaned it up and made key information easier to find at a glance.[/p]
  • [p]Added a visual marker to Favours that are ready to be claimed, so you’ll instantly know when a new one is available.[/p]
  • [p]Reordered pause/summary screen stats so the most important info is easier to find.[/p]
  • [p]Added an option to let you check your current Powers directly from the improvement or transformation selection screens, helping you make better upgrade choices.[/p]
  • [p]Improved visibility of Power tags (Range, Strike, etc.) so you can compare abilities more easily.[/p]
  • [p]Added clear seconds indicators to Structure Invulnerability so you know exactly how long the effect lasts.[/p]
  • [p]Revealed the titles of locked Survivors so achievements make more sense and both Achilles variants are easier to tell apart.[/p]
  • [p]Moved event start popups to match boss warning placement so they’re more noticeable.[/p]
[p][/p]
⚖️ Balance Changes
• [p]Objective tuning: Lowered requirements for some of the most demanding objectives so they still require effort, but less luck.[/p]
  • [p]Forge: Increased durability so it will last you longer in battle.[/p]
  • [p]Statue of Medusa output: Increased cooldown, with further increases for each additional Statue built, to keep resource gains balanced over time.[/p]
  • [p]Agamemnon’s Wrath: Reduced cooldown from 15s to 11s so you can use it more often.[/p]
[p][/p]
🐛 Bugfixes
• [p]Fixed an issue where Myrmidons could get stuck and stop fighting. They now work as intended and will support you in battle instead of slacking off.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed collision in the Medusa Statue that could trap players.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected names and icons for several Steam achievements (Conquest of Endless Troy, Conquest of Endless Dungeons, Conquest of Endless Mountain Fortress).[/p]
  • [p]Fixed incorrect first-level value for the Enchanter’s “Greed of Enchanter” Favour.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Magical Overload for Enchanter so it properly increases your cooldown speed.[/p]
  • [p]Damage numbers above 2.1 billion now display correctly.[/p]
  • [p]Changed Medusa building category from “Turret” to “Support” so it’s listed properly.[/p]
  • [p]Various language fixes in Polish, Chinese, and French.[/p]
[p][/p]
A Golden Thank You 💛
[p]Thank you for the incredible launch, for every comment, and for sticking with us through the bumps along the way. In just two weeks, you’ve helped shape Achilles: Survivor more than we could have alone.[/p][p]With Update 1.1, we’re also introducing the Supporter Pack - a small, purely cosmetic DLC forged in the spirit of King Midas. Just as his touch turned all it met into gold, this pack gives every Survivor a shimmering golden skin and places a unique supporter’s badge in your main menu.[/p][p]And the most important perk:[/p][p]Your support helps us keep updating Achilles: Survivor, move our next project forward, and bring new worlds from our little studio in Toruń to your screen ❤️[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]If that’s not your thing, that’s perfect too - your trust already means more than gold to us.[/p][p]Keep telling us what works, what frustrates you, and what you dream of seeing next. Every run you play helps us make the next one better.[/p][p]See you on the battlefield, Survivors!
