Achilles: Survivor News

Coming to Consoles & and How’s Achilles Doing? #1

Hello, Survivors!

We’ve got big news to share today - and it feels great to finally say it out loud:
🎮 Achilles: Survivor is coming to consoles!
You’ll be able to obliterate your enemies
(or be obliterated by them)
on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in the second half of 2025.

Watch the trailer here: [previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
We’ve come a long way since Early Access launch - and we couldn’t have done it without you. With the next update slowly approaching, we’re also preparing to welcome a whole new wave of players to the battlefield. But before that happens...

We’ve got more to share with you.

Starting today, we’re kicking off a small series of devlogs: part behind-the-scenes, part excuse to talk about mythology.
How’s Achilles Doing? #1 - Making Survivors More Special
While we can’t share a date for the next update just yet (still in the Forge), we can say this: we are working on several topics at the moment, so you will be able to have endless fun while playing.

And one thing we’re focused on right now is making every Survivor feel, well… more like themselves.

Because one of the comments we’ve seen the most is this:
“Survivors feel too similar.”
And honestly? Yeah, that’s true. Outside their signature powers, most of them played a bit too much like Achilles in a different hat. We want to give each Survivor a more distinct identity and playstyle.

This brings us to Diomedes.

You might not know him as well as Paris or Prometheus, but Diomedes was no minor hero. He ruled Argos with wisdom, led one of the largest Greek fleets to Troy, and after the war, is said to have founded ten cities in Italy. Some even worshipped him as a god.

We wanted that legacy to come through in how he plays.
Right now, he already gets bonuses to structure durability, XP, and effectiveness - very on-brand for a seasoned strategist. But in the next update, we’re going a step further:
Every completed structure will grant Diomedes bonus building speed and heal him for a significant amount.
The more you build, the faster you become. If you like structure-focused builds with a strong sustain loop, Diomedes might become your new favorite.
But what if you are a fan of a more dynamic playstyle?

This is time for Alectryon to shine - literally.

In the myth, Alectryon was a young soldier who dozed off while standing guard for Ares - and accidentally let Helios catch the god in a compromising position. As punishment, Ares turned him into a rooster, cursed to wake the world each day with a cry.

In Achilles: Survivor, he’s still paying for that mistake.

Alectryon talent depends on him staying in motion.

The longer he moves, the more the air around him charges - until a burning sphere forms, circling him like the rising sun. When enemies get in touch with the sphere, it pushes them away, burning as hot as the sun.
Before we go…
As always, everything you’ve read here is still in development - numbers may shift, abilities might change, and some surprises we haven’t even hinted at yet are still ahead.

What won’t change is how grateful we are for your support.

Special thanks to everyone who’s been sharing feedback, balance ideas, and suggestions in the Steam forums and on our Discord after 0.6 update. You’ve helped shape this next phase of development more than you know!

Let us know how you're doing, and we hope you have an awesome Thursday. 💛

Announcement - Future Price Increase

Hi Survivors,

It’s wild to look back at where Achilles: Survivor started - and how far it’s come.

Since launching into Early Access, we’ve added a new realm, Survivors, bosses, powers, building mechanics, difficulty settings, and more. The game has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of - and that’s entirely thanks to your support, feedback, and encouragement along the way.

As we get closer to full release, we’ve made the decision to adjust the game’s base price to better reflect how much it’s expanded. This wasn’t something we took lightly, we’ve been debating it internally over the past few weeks.

Next week, following the end of the sale, the base price of Achilles: Survivor will increase from $4.99 to $6.99.

We want to be transparent about this change, and give everyone a heads-up before it happens. Right now, the game is also 20% off until Monday, so if you or your friends have been thinking about jumping in, this is the best time to do it.

And if you’re already with us - thank you. You’ve helped shape this game into what it is today, and what it’s becoming. The next update is already in the works; it’ll take a bit longer than usual to arrive, but we can safely say… it’s shaping up to be something special.

Update 0.6: Into the Mountain Fortress

Hey Survivors!

Hope you’re feeling brave (and fireproof), because this one’s hot.
Update 0.6 is live - and it’s our biggest yet, forged in the fire of your feedback (Mount Doom has nothing on it) and hundreds of hours of coding, testing and fixing.

It’s going to be a long one; you’re going to need a jug full of coffee this time around
🌋 New Realm: Mountain Fortress
Deep below the mortal world, beyond the reach of sea winds and sunlight, rises a fortress carved into the bones of a living volcano.

Its walls glow with molten veins. Its halls echo with the chants of Hades' sworn-cultists who traded their souls for power, and now worship death with every breath.

In other words: our third realm is here, and it’s full of lava. What to expect?
 • Explore five handcrafted locations in the heart of a volcanic peak.
 • Face new, tougher enemies & bosses.
 • Don’t forget to enjoy the views!
🕷️ New Survivor: Phalanx, the Venomous Spider
Cursed and twisted by Athena for defying the gods, reborn with eight limbs and venomous fangs, he is a fast, lethal predator that weaves poison into every encounter.

Meet Phalanx, the Venomous Spider.

He’s fast. He’s deadly. He’s got way too many legs.

Winner of our community vote, Phalanx, joins the Survivor roster with increased power range, critical chance, and movement speed, striking enemies from afar with volleys of poisonous thorns. Take a look at him in action:
🛠️ New Game Modes: Short Runs and Difficulty Levels

⏱️ 10-Minute Runs Are Here (Finally)
This was, without a doubt, your #1 request.

Not everyone has 20 uninterrupted minutes. Some of you have families. Others have fatigue or health issues. And a few of you just really like intense, compact bloodbath.

That’s why every realm now supports a short-run mode. Choose your location. Play for 10 minutes. Win, lose, repeat, it's up to you.
🎚️ Choose Your Difficulty
You asked for more difficulty. And also less difficulty. So… we did both.
 • Easy – great for casual runs.
 • Normal – Former default, balanced challenge.
 • Hard – Unlocks after your first clear. Proceed with caution.
Yes, you can switch anytime. No, we won’t judge. We’ve all been humbled by a flaming plant before.
⚔️ New Bosses & Midbosses
New faces, same goal: send you back to Tartarus. Alongside new normal enemies, we’ve added four new bosses and midbosses - each designed to test your builds and reflexes.
Boss: Talos, The Bronze Sentinel.
Each of his steps is an earthquake. A towering guardian forged by the gods, Talos, now stalks the Mountain Fortress.
Boss: Agamemnon, The Fallen King
Greece is his domain, and he is not happy to see you. Agamemnon brings tactical aggression to the battlefield. He punishes hesitation, and doesn’t go down easy.
Midboss: Stone Golem
Don’t let him fool you. One charge from this hunk of enchanted rock can flatten you.
Midboss: Fire Plant
If a flamethrower grew roots and hated you personally, this would be it. We’ve heard you loved plants, so we thought “how about a bigger one that shoots multiple projectiles at you?”.
🌀 New Challenge: Seal the Rift
New location objective - win by closing a massive, unstable Rift - a portal pumping out elite enemies non-stop.
Your goal: hold the line long enough to shut it.
Your tools: whatever you managed to scrounge together on this run.
Your odds?

… Good luck!
💎 Increased Favour Levels
If you clear Hard Mode, the gods will actually be impressed. They may even grant you Divine Crystals as a prize. Using Divine Crystals, you can unlock higher Favour tiers and finally reach your full potential.
🪓 New Pick-Ups
Want more stone?
Now you’ve got it.

Two shiny new pickaxe tiers can now drop mid-run, giving you bonus stone for building.
🏆 29 New Achievements
That’s not a typo.
🧰 Major QoL Improvements:
We made life (and death) just a little easier:
 • New ‘unseen’ markers highlight powers, structures, and transformations you haven’t tried yet.
 • Restart from Summary screen: Quickly replay the same setup with one click.
 • New Transformation icons: selected transformation icons are now more unique and better reflect their function.
 • Disconnecting your controller now reliably pauses the game.
⚖️ Balance Adjustments:
• Building damage now scales with location level so turrets & traps remain relevant in later stages.
 • Re-tuned Transformation and Improvement bonuses. Added/removed certain Transformations to keep your builds fresh.
 • Titan’s Blade & Shield Throw gain the Cursed Gods Transformation that will give you more options to apply Curse to enemies, making it easier to complete related achievements.
 • Armour values on Hector and Achilles re-balanced.
 • 3 older achievements adjusted for smoother pacing.
🐞 Over 50 Bugfixes:
• Max-level Favours now properly display their bonuses.
 • Gold spent in Workshops counts toward statistics and Spend Gold objective.
 • Fire Axes now reliably apply burn.
 • Cursor visibility improved.
 • 50 additional minor fixes including UI polish, language tweaks and various other topics.
❤️ From Us to You
So many of the changes in 0.6 were shaped by your feedback, votes, and comments. We’re a small team, still figuring things out, trying to make something special - and it means the world to have you along for the ride.

Thank you for being a part of our journey.

If you feel like chatting, tell us in the comments:
 • What’s your favorite part of the update?
 • What would you love to see next?
And hey - how are you doing on this beautiful (but cloudy) Wednesday?

Devlog: What lurks in the dark? | Steam Cards & 20% Sale

Hello, Survivors!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Here in Poland we’ve just wrapped up Majówka (our long May weekend) which, naturally, involved a lot of grilled food and family time. But we’re back, recharged, and ready for a packed week ahead. We’ll need that energy, because on Wednesday…

Well, keep reading to find out what’s coming.
Steam Trading Cards Are Here!
We’re starting it off with something new: Steam Trading Cards are now live for Achilles: Survivor!

Here’s what you can unlock:
 • 6 Trading Cards
 • 3 Profile Backgrounds
 • 5 Emojis
 • and 1 Badge
Your Steam profile can finally look as majestic as a Greek hero. Here’s a sneak peek:

Huge shoutout to our amazing art team - Wiesiu, Nadia, Przemek - for absolutely crushing it on these designs.

Let them know in the comments which card is your favorite! 😊
💰 Achilles: Survivor is now 20% off!
The heading says it all. Is this the perfect moment to bring a friend into the fight?

We think so. Especially because…
🕷️ Update 0.6 is coming this Wednesday
The next update is just around the corner, and it’s our biggest one to date. We won’t spoil everything today, but here’s a look at what we’ve been working on over the past few weeks.
New ways to play the game
The internal theme of this update was simple: community. We focused hard on your most-requested features - after all, our goal is to make the game as fun as possible to you!
 • What was the number one request? Short mode.
We get it, not everyone has time or energy for a full 20-minute run, so we’re adding a faster option: 10-minute sessions, available in every realm.
 • The second most common request was that the game was too easy.
 • The third? That the game was too hard.

To make sure no one’s left behind, you will be able to lower or increase your difficulty level as you see fit. What was previously the default setting is now labeled “Normal”. You can start on Easy right away. Hard unlocks after your first clear on Normal.

We’ve also increased Favour levels to 10. That gives you more tools to take on tougher challenges, and more room to grow if you’ve already maxed out your previous build. They will be unlocked with a new currency - Divine Crystals - which you can obtain fighting on Hard Mode.
Eight-Legged Menace
Most people know the myth of Arachne. But did you know she had a brother?

At the end of March, we asked you on our Discord who would you prefer to see first in the game. Community vote was clear - and that’s how Phalanx, the Venomous Spider came to life.

Cursed and twisted by Athena for defying the gods, reborn with eight limbs and venomous fangs, Phalanx is a fast, lethal predator that weaves poison into every encounter.

We wanted Phalanx to feel like a true predator - swift, silent, and deadly. That’s why he joins the Survivor roster with increased power range, critical chance, and movement speed, striking enemies from afar with volleys of poisonous thorns.

And that’s...

Not quite everything.

We haven’t even mentioned the biggest thing coming in 0.6.

What is it?
Well, you’ll find out this Wednesday evening.

See you there? 😊
