Hello Inkborns! Our first Major Update introducing Act 3 has just landed. Here is an overview of all the additions and improvements now available at your fingertips! πͺ

An area that completes a full run cycle. A once whole land now splintered into drifting fragments. Find your way to the Boss and claim your first victory.

[h2]New enemies[/h2]
Act 3 brings a full wave of fresh, dangerous paper foes. Each one introduces new patterns that challenge how you plan turns and react under pressure. Meet them in battle, learn how they behave, and add their pages to your Bestiary as you master their tricks.

[h2]New random events[/h2]
More choices in every run. Some are helpful, some deceptive, and a few are both depending on how you play your cards. Our community has been looking for more ways to recover during runs, so the new Ink Donation Point and Tapemaster events should be a welcome sight.

[h2]New Town upgrades[/h2]
Your Town receives new improvements that boost runs, unlock conveniences, and open more strategic planning between journeys.

[h2]Multistage events[/h2]
These events now unfold across several steps. Decisions branch into new encounters, rewards, or consequences. They bring more narrative bite and more long-term risk versus reward choices.
[h2]More Ideas[/h2]
A large expansion to the Idea system means more routes to shape your playstyle. These variants introduce new synergies and allow for more unusual combinations.
[h2]Difficulty modifiers for standard Profiles[/h2]
After your first completed run, you can start raising Difficulty Levels. Mix and match the modifiers you like to sculpt your ideal challenge and grab Soulink along the way.

You earn 3 Soulink for the first time Boss kills and another 10 by progressing through the mentioned Difficulty Levels.

- Added Act 3: The Shattered Isles is the final act of the game.
- 8 new enemies with new statuses and cards: 6 regular enemies, 1 Elite, 1 Boss.
- The amount of Soulink has been expanded to 13.
- 10 new Ideas with 22 different variants.
- 2 new universal cards: Feint and Practice.
- 10 Difficulty Levels are now part of the standard Profile and can be unlocked by completing the first run from start to finish.
- Added 7 Steam achievements.
- Endless Mode is now part of the Beta Profile.
- Expanded narrative sections at the start of the game.
- Added a new outro with a hint toward the game's overarching plot. Stay tuned for more.
- Added 5 new random events.
- Added a new type of random events: multistage events.
- Town upgrades are now available outside the Beta Profile.
- Added new artwork for Ancient Axe and Paper Cut.

- Added an option to abandon a run from within the game. This grants all rewards earned up to that point (abandoning from the main menu remains unchanged).
- Improved animations for adding and removing Chronicle Points.
- Improved run summary animations.
- Added new sounds, including audio for the run summary.
- Increased accuracy of enemy hit effect targeting (for example, combo fists that apply stun).
[h2]Fixes[/h2]
- Fixed issues with game controller input when receiving Curses.
- Corrected multiple localization problems across the game.
- The upgraded Greatnib now displays its cost correctly and no longer shows a permanent green highlight. The upgraded version also no longer displays a plus sign next to its name.
- Fixed an issue where the Barracks info for Greatnib incorrectly displayed details about a Cursed card.
- Resolved a bug where the Rat enemy could disappear without playing its death animation.
- Fixed a visual bug where card particles appeared in the corner of the screen at the start of combat.
- Improved enemy attack targeting areas for more consistent hit detection.
