Patch 029 Tomorrow

[h2]Good evening![/h2][p][/p][p]Thank you to all those who found the game through the Summer Sale and WELCOME![/p][p][/p][p]I did want to provide and update that I did not meet my goal of getting the Beta Patch 029 out today. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Firstly....I went ahead and added in an Updated Brake System to the cart that is more visual. [/p][p][/p]

[p][/p][p]Secondly...while yes the Cart Wheel Replacement system was working as intended....I felt better about changing it to allow for the better goal of:[/p]
  1. [p]Purchase a wheel[/p]
  2. [p]Apply the wheel[/p]
  3. [p]Remove the wheel[/p]
[p]....all at your discretion and it's the actual wheel, the whole time, no gimmicks. Allowing it to be traded and damaged etc like any other item.[/p][p][/p][p]I'll be working hard tomorrow to get Step 3 of that process working and will of course keep you updated![/p][p][/p][p]Apologies for the delay![/p][p][/p][p]As always, I'm in Discord should you need anything.[/p]

Beta Update 029 Coming Today

[p][/p][p]Just wanted to give a short heads up that I'll be uploading this next update by end of today for those who play the Beta (which anyone who owns the game can) for initial testing![/p][p][/p][p]I'll be continuing work on it overall, but did want to get the first iteration of it out as it contains several things:[/p][p][/p][p] NEW GAME WILL BE REQUIRED[/p][p][/p][h2]Beta Patch: 029 [/h2][p]Improvements:[/p]
  • [p] Yorlen Harbor Market Area[/p]
  • [p]Updated Area between Yorlen Harbor and Yorlen Village[/p]
  • [p] Cart wheels take different amounts of damaged depending on the terrain type you are on[/p]
  • [p] Added Cart Wheels to Shops[/p]
  • [p] Added animals for testing (no predators)[/p]
  • [p] Shop Items now spawn in with random amounts of damage and have adjusted prices[/p]
  • [p] Added checkpoint guard shouts[/p]
  • [p] Seamless/Hot Swap Mouse&Keyboard or Gamepad[/p]
  • [p] 1 Diamond Goods will no longer decrease Merchant Status[/p]
  • [p] Camera settings adjusted (may need to change your FOV setting)[/p]
  • [p] Adjusted physics on Cart loading from save to help prevent items from sinking into it[/p]
  • [p] Reduced Ocean Volume[/p]
  • [p] Added more preventative measures to prevent players from going into unfinished areas [/p]
[p]Bug Fixes:[/p]
  • [p] Gaps in Crate Lids allowing Rain Damage[/p]
  • [p] Some Discoverable Items Duplicated on Reloading[/p]
  • [p] Harbor Ale Barrels Duplicating[/p]
  • [p] Saved View Distance Fog settings not loading[/p]

  • Adjusted Door Open/Close force
  • Added text “Lid is Blocked” if crate lid won’t close
  • Adjusted Carry/weight movement penalty
  • Corrected Item Orientation Reset

Patch 028 Main Game

Patch 028
[p][/p][p]Because this was a pretty decent Quality of Life implementation I wanted to get it into the Main Game after some quick testing.[/p][p][/p][p]As stated, Items (Crates, Boxes etc) will be much more stable when rotating and also have a "feel" of some weight to them. [/p][p][/p][p]Also the boxes performing a check to see if any items are blocking them prior to closing which greatly helps in unnecessary collisions/glitches if you over-fill them. [/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]Improvements:[/p]
  • [p] Item Rotation/Movement[/p]
  • [p] Holding Items affects player movement[/p]
  • [p] Lids check for object prior to closing[/p]

  • [p] Salted Lemons break with small impact[/p]

[p][/p][p]I love this update as it helps to address one of the major thorns in my side...the balancing issue when trying to rotate crates full of items.[/p][p][/p][p]Also picking up and moving items now affects your movement...giving the much need feel of "weight" to that item.[/p][p][/p][p]Also Salted Lemon Jars don't explode anymore.[/p][p][/p][h2]Details:[/h2][p][/p][p]Improvements:[/p]
