Lunar Eclipe - Update 0.37.6

[p]Hello everyone!
[/p][p]While I’ve been quietly releasing small updates here and there, I wanted to share a dedicated announcement for this one — because Lunar Eclipse now supports Cloud Saves![/p][p]This update also includes a few important fixes and improvements:[/p]
 • [p]Fixed a bug where crouching speed matched walking speed.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where stamina could get stuck, requiring extra button presses to recover.[/p]
 • [p]Improved the loading process — this should reduce cases where the game crashes when starting a new game for the first time.[/p]
[p]At the moment, I’m working on a new outfit and progress on the third area continues. The outfit will be released next week as part of a small update to bring a bit more content while I continue building the next big story section.[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks so much for your support — you’ve been an awesome community![/p][p][/p]

[p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]

Lunar Eclipse has launched in Early Access!

Hello everyone!
Today marks a huge step forward — both for me as a developer, and for you, the incredible community behind Lunar Eclipse.

It’s been a long road since I first started working on this project — and an even longer one since I first dreamed of making my own game.
The very first prototype of Lunar Eclipse was created more than five years ago.
Back then, as a 3D artist, I knew almost nothing about development or programming. I could barely use Unreal Engine.
A lot has happened since then. For a while, the project was shelved, waiting for a better moment. That moment finally came last year, when I decided to bring it back — this time, doing it all on my own. I believed that if I started showing something to the world, someone might believe in it, too.

From that point on, I wasn’t just creating 3D assets anymore — I started learning programming, game design, and all the technical challenges that come with bringing a game to life.
As time passed, Lunar Eclipse started to grow — not just as a project, but as a community.
And that’s what I’m most grateful for. Your support and kind words gave me the motivation to keep going through the toughest moments of development.

The first major milestone was back in February, when we launched the demo during Steam Next Fest.
Today, we take the second big step: the Early Access release of Lunar Eclipse.

A brand-new journey lies ahead, full of content still to come — new areas, new puzzles, deeper storylines, new outfits, and more.
This is just the beginning, and I’m beyond excited to continue building this game with you by my side.

Thank you for staying with me this far — and I hope you’ll stay for the rest of the ride. Let’s keep growing together and welcoming even more friends into our community.

Lunar Eclipe - Update 0.37.4

Hello everyone!

Since there’s only one day left until the Early Access launch, I decided to improve the build tracking system as early as possible.

Over time, I noticed that without proper version tracking, many players could get confused when loading old save files in newer versions of the game. This can lead to bugs and glitches, and it became clear that a better system was necessary to prevent issues like these in the future.
How this affects you:
All save files created before update 0.37.4 will now be marked as "Unknown."
This means that to ensure proper game tracking, you’ll need to start a new game from scratch.
I really didn’t want to make such a radical change, but unfortunately, it became necessary. I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience.

That said, I believe it was better to introduce this now rather than face even worse confusion down the road.
What you should know:
Depending on where you discovered Lunar Eclipse, you may be using one of three different builds:
 • Development
 • Demo
 • Early Access (available June 4th)

Each of these builds can have a different world state. For example, if you save your game in the Development build, that save will reflect the Development version of the world. Loading that same save in the Early Access version could cause unintended behavior — some objects might be unexpectedly activated or deactivated. In the worst-case scenario, you could spawn in the middle of nowhere.

Previously, players could unknowingly do this, but now that the community is growing, I had to make a decision to solve the problem.

This new system allows me to keep all three versions of the game updated while minimizing the risk of save file conflicts.

Here’s how the loading menu looks from now on:

Also, since Lunar Eclipse is mostly puzzle-based, I’m sure many of you can breeze through the game again fairly quickly — though I’m still really sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks so much for your understanding and support. It truly means a lot to me ❤️

Lunar Eclipse - Update 0.37

Hey everyone!

Today I’m excited to finally share a feature a lot of you have been asking for — full gamepad support is now live in Lunar Eclipse!

It took me about 25 full days (yes, weekends included) to make it all work properly — from rewriting UI interactions to updating every single menu. There's still a few rough edges here and there, so thanks in advance for your patience and understanding. I’ll keep polishing things in the upcoming updates! Let’s dive into what’s new:
Gamepad Support — it’s here!
• Full native support for Xbox controllers has been added.
 • Thanks to Steam Input, PlayStation controllers (and probably others too!) should work automatically, even though they aren’t officially supported yet.

⚠️ Heads-up: If you run the game outside of Steam, only Xbox controllers will work by default. For other controllers, you’ll need third-party software.

 • Right now there’s only Xbox-style button icons, but I’m looking into ways to add automatic layout detection or a manual layout selector in the settings.
 • I also added a help field at the bottom of most menus to show which buttons do what. It switches automatically between gamepad and keyboard depending on what you pressed last.

⚠️ But! I still recommend sticking to one input method — juggling both might confuse the game (and your fingers :D).
Key Remapping for Gamepad
The Controls tab in the settings menu now allows you to fully remap both keyboard and gamepad buttons. So feel free to customize the layout to whatever feels comfy for you.
UI Changes & Improvements
Crafting Menu completely rebuilt to work smoothly with both keyboard and gamepad. It also just looks nicer now (I hope!) — let me know what you think.
Outfits Tab Overhaul
• The Outfits menu has been redesigned to match the new “collectible pieces” system.
 • Now each individual clothing item (top, bottom, etc.) is collected and shown separately. Gotta collect 'em all!
Other Fixes & Improvements
There’s also a whole bunch of small tweaks and fixes sprinkled throughout the game. I won't bore you with every tiny detail, but if something suddenly works better than before — it was probably in this patch :D
What’s Next?
I’m slowly getting back to work on the third major area — it’s coming along nicely!
If all goes well, it should be ready in next two months for Steam and include:
 • A new large zone: Living Rooms
 • New puzzles to tease your brain
 • New outfits (aiming for 3–4 new sets, we’ll see!)
 • And more cool stuff

Thank you so much for your continued support!
Our community is still small, but it means the world to me ❤️

I’m especially excited for the Early Access launch on June 4 — it’s a big and important step for me as a developer, and I’ll keep doing my best to deliver the best experience possible.

I love Lunar Eclipse, and I hope you’ll enjoy the journey alongside me.

Lunar Eclipse - Coming to Early Access on June 4!

Hello everyone!

I’m excited to finally announce that Lunar Eclipse will launch in Early Access on June 4, 2025, on Steam!

This is a huge milestone, and I’m incredibly thankful for all your support, feedback, and kind words since the demo release. The Early Access version includes new content, improvements, and fixes - many of which were directly influenced by the community.

Here’s a quick recap of some of the most interesting additions since the first demo:
New Area: The Basement
Explore a completely new location with fresh puzzles, additional exploration zones, new collectibles, and more intense zombie encounters.
New Outfit: Casual Set
In the basement, you can find a new craftable outfit consisting of a sweater, jeans, boots, and underwear.
To craft it, you’ll need to gather materials dropped from enemies - so be ready to fight and scavenge.
Outfit Crafting System
You can now craft outfits using resources found in the world or looted from enemies.
Outfits are not only cosmetic but also help build immersion and allow you to customize Ealish’s look as you progress.
Expanded Settings Menu
• Camera options: adjust sensitivity, inversion, and position
 • Fully customizable keyboard controls
 • New supported languages: Russian, Ukrainian, and Simplified Chinese
Narrative Improvements
• A large portion of the dialogue has been rewritten for better flow and stronger storytelling.
 • New collectible note type: audio recordings that reveal what happened while Ealish was asleep.
Visual Upgrades
• New enemy models have been added to improve visual variety and overall atmosphere.

...and tons of other improvements and tweaks throughout the game!

Thank you again for your amazing support. I can’t wait to share more updates with you as we move toward the full release.

Don’t forget to wishlist Lunar Eclipse on Steam and follow the game to stay up to date!
