Demo updated to Version 0.8.0

This update includes built-in controller input as well as many smaller improvements.

You may have to disable the Steam input thingy in order for it to work properly.

Actually, it's probably better to keep the Steam Input thing active, as their interface is much more robust than what I have built. But in case it does not work, or if anyone is not playing on Steam, I wanted it to be there.

The game now works completely with mouse input only, keyboard input only, or controller input only ... or any combination players are comfortable with.
Next Steps
I plan on a lot of playtesting, updating a bit of the artwork, and adding a few new weapons and other items before releasing the game. If you have any thoughts, or find any bugs in the demo, I would love to hear about it.
Early Access
I am not planning on an Early Access release. But I don't know, it might actually be good for this game, in order to spend a bit more time polishing and refining the experience. What do you think? I would love to hear back from players about this.

Controller Support Underway

The next update should have working controller support integrated into the game. Testing is going well so far, with a couple of small issues to iron out.

I will also be adding a way to rebind controls before putting it out there for testing.

Once that is done, and working, I will be able to do the finishing touches on the game itself. Thanks for all your patience and please don't forget to tell others about the game!

Demo Updated to Version 0.7.9a

With version 0.7.9a, you should now be able to play the game completely with the mouse, and/or completely with the keyboard. Or you can use both as per your comfort level.

All the menus are now navigable with WASD and SPACE BAR, so you never have to move the mouse if you prefer not to.
Controller Support - Coming Soon
The next step is to include controller support. For now, if you are a controller user, you should be able to use Steam to assign controller buttons to keyboard input, and you will not need the mouse cursor at all.

I plan to work on controller support this week. This will allow the controller to be used "out of the box" without having to use the Steam interface to get it to work.
Options Menu
The options menu should also work with keyboard input only now. Additionally, two new keybindings were added: User Guide and Map, which allows you to access the user guide and map features as needed.
Problems
You will probably find some weird interface issues when using keyboard and/or controller input for now. Please send your feedback if you have any problems or recommendations.

Demo Updated to Version 0.7.9

Just updated the demo

It makes a couple important changes.
New Items
A compass, a net, a shovel and a hook have been added to the game. Yes, the shovel and hook were in the last build, but a major change has happened. These items used to be listed as "Supplies" but now they are classified as "Weapons/Tools" in your inventory. You do not need to equip these things, they will work automatically when you need them. These items are now only available at the trader, so you will have to save up to buy them.
Captives
You could capture enemies before, but they would just sit in the "Captives" menu and gather dust. Now you may, on occasion, get special offers from some of the denizens of the Great Abyss to take those captives off your hands in exchange for gold.
Experience
Now you can gain experience points for things other than combat. Sneaking, picking locks, reading books, talking to others,

Demo Updated to Version 0.7.4

Just updated the demo

It makes a couple important changes.
No More Autosave
Autosaves have been disabled. Instead, the first save slot behaves like an ordinary save slot. Autosaves were causing all sorts of issues and I have not been able to figure out a way around it. So I will trust to players that they will be able to save their own games.
New Dungeon Tiles
Dungeons have new end tiles (those around the outer edges of each dungeon). This may cause some weird issues if you are loading a saved game, where the outer tiles of dungeons don't match up properly. It's okay, this will only effect old games. New games will not have this issue.
