Master of Piece Devlog #5: Improving User Experience

This is I M GAME.[/p][p]To offer a smoother gameplay experience, we’ve been working to improve various systems in Master of Piece.[/p][p]In this devlog, we’d like to share the latest changes to how your journey begins—with a reworked game flow and the introduction of a new central space: the Departure Grounds.[/p][p][/p][h3]A New Lobby System[/h3][p][/p][p][/p][p]At the start of each game—or once your journey ends—your commander will now appear in the center of the Departure Grounds.[/p][p]We’ve also added the ability to directly control your commander, bringing more immersion to the game and reinforcing one of Master of Piece’s core features: moving your mercenaries manually.[/p][p][/p][h3]The Departure Grounds[/h3][p][/p][p][/p][p]In previous versions, the starting screen was filled with black smoke and had no real interactive elements. Buttons looked inconsistent, and the rules of each system weren’t unified—making the game harder to learn for new players.[/p][p]To solve this, we’ve redesigned the area into a consolidated space: the Departure Grounds.[/p][p]Before heading out on a new journey, you’ll now move your commander through this shared hub to prepare—leveling up, modifying traits, or adjusting your team before stepping into the fog.[/p][p]This update reduces wasted space and ties all pre-journey activities into a single, unified experience.[/p][p][/p][h3]No More Screen Transitions[/h3][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Previously, moving between different areas—whether inside or outside—always triggered a loading transition.[/p][p]After the update, movement between external locations will now happen seamlessly, with no screen change.[/p][p]Only when entering a building will the scene transition, creating a clearer contrast between indoor and outdoor areas while improving the gaming experience and flow.[/p][p][/p][h3]Conclusion[/h3][p][/p][p]This update focuses less on changing core gameplay, and more on enhancing the game’s quality-of-life and overall immersion.[/p][p][/p][p]By improving the flow and cohesiveness of the early-game experience, we hope to help more players get invested—and see their journey through to the end.[/p][p][/p][p]We’ll continue polishing and expanding Master of Piece while keeping its unique charm intact.[/p][p]We’d love to hear your feedback through our Discord or the Steam discussion page. This is I M GAME.[/p][p][/p][p]A new region is coming to Master of Piece.[/p][p]It’s known for its scorching heat and vast, open landscape.[/p][p]In this devlog, we introduce this new land that awaits beyond the Sunlit Hills.[/p][p][/p][h3]The Blazing Sands[/h3][p][/p][p][/p][p]Beyond the Hill of Sunshine lies the Desert, waiting for your expedition.[/p][p]Before the black fog consumed the world, this land basked in the full heat of the sun—earning it the name the Blazing Sands.[/p][p]The Blazing Sands are vast, with repeating landscapes that makes confusing for travelers.[/p][p]Crossing the desert alone is perilous, and even experienced merchants often find themselves straying into unfamiliar paths.[/p][p][/p][h3]About the Desert[/h3][h3][/h3][p]While exploring the Blazing Sands, you may come across an abandoned temple.[/p][p]Though long forgotten, rumors say that those who offer a prayer there may receive a small blessing.[/p][p][/p][p]Scattered throughout the desert are mysterious statues of unknown origin.[/p][p]Their purpose remains unclear, but they serve as reliable guides for those traversing the sands.[/p][p]Among them, the most well-known is the Statue of the Goddess at the heart of the desert—regarded by many travelers as a symbol of fortune.[/p][p][/p][h3]The Citadel of Wisdom[/h3][p][/p][p]In the Blazing Sands, there exists a group as intense as the scorching sun itself.[/p][p][/p][p]They are known as the Order of the Sun, worshippers of the sun.[/p][p]Driven by an obsession—and perhaps madness—they follow the creed: “The Sun knows all.”[/p][p]To fulfill what they believe is the will of the sun, they collect and preserve all knowledge of the world.[/p][p][/p][p]But with so much to protect, they have grown deeply secretive.[/p][p]They move through the desert in shadows, rarely showing themselves.[/p][p]Sometimes, they lure travelers with jars of water—only to rob them of books, food, and supplies to sustain their order.[/p][p][/p][p]And yet, despite their reclusive nature, they should never be underestimated.[/p][p]With the power of their knowledge—and of the sun itself—they will stand in the expedition’s way, striking back with unrelenting force.[/p][p][/p][h3]Conclusion[/h3][p][/p][p]To make it through the newly added Blazing Sands, players will need to be fully prepared to take on the Order of the Sun.[/p][p]We’ll continue refining our systems while preserving the unique charm of Master of Piece, aiming to deliver a deeply satisfying experience for all players.[/p][p]We’d love to hear your feedback through our Discord or the Steam discussion page.[/p][p][/p][p]Stay tuned for more updates, and connect with us in our Discord and social media below![/p]

Demo 1.2.0 Update

Greetings to all of our Master of Piece fans!

Today, we present the 1.2.0 update notes, which include bug fixes discovered after the 1.1.0 update and system improvements.

[General]
• Added borderless window mode to graphic settings.

Common
[Gameplay]
• Added new patterns for elite battles and boss battles.
• Improved the UI to display mercenary upgrade stages more intuitively.
• Adjusted the ‘Holy Book’ relic and ‘Preemptive Defense’ trait.

[Bug Fixes]
• Fixed minor issues related to Japanese fonts.
• Fixed a bug where the game switched from fullscreen to windowed mode upon restart.
• Fixed a bug that prevented progress when using the Turkish language.

Master of Piece Devlog #3: Dragon Cult Commander and His Minions


Greetings. This is I M GAME.
A new menace rises within Master of Piece.
Upon the sunlit hills, the Dragon Cult Commander marches forth with blasphemous chants, rallying his knightly order for war.
In this dev diary, we unveil his identity and his nature in battle.

[h2]A Boss Who Commands an Army[/h2]

Gripped by twisted longing, the Dragon Cult Commander is a cold and calculating general who cares little for the lives of his own men.
Through methodical troop deployment and devastating strikes, he fights to secure the survival of his cult—and to fulfill the truths of the dragon faith.

He is a Boss who grows stronger the more he is wounded, passing that strength down to his subordinates.
Should a Mercenary dare deliver the final blow, they will be met with a punishing counterattack, one fierce enough to tip the tide of battle in an instant.

His appearance evokes the commanding presence of a true war leader.
Encased in full plate armor, wielding a greatsword, and crowned with a horned great helm—he is no mere knight, but something far more dire.

[h2]Minions Loyal to Their Commander[/h2]

The Commander’s minions obey without hesitation.
They fight as one, weaving powerful synergies that drive the expedition ever closer to ruin.
