Relic Abyss is part of Bullet Heaven Fest 3.0!

A steam sale that mainly features bullet heavens, survivors-likes, roguelikes, roguelites, and so much more![/p][p][/p][p]Do check it out! We will be announcing the release date next year along with a new trailer.[/p][p][/p][p]Progress with the EA release build is going great! Relic Abyss Early Access delayed to February 2026.

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Greetings, everyone![/p][p][/p][p]We are delaying the Early Access release of Relic Abyss to February 2026. [/p][p][/p][p]We played the current build and have felt the amount of content in the game will not be satisfactory to players compared to our demo.[/p][p][/p][p]We want to ensure the value will suffice the price of the game. So we'll be working hard to add more meaningful content.[/p][p][/p][p]This will also give us a chance to do a more in depth quality assurance for the final product as well as planning out a proper marketing strategy for the game's release.[/p][p][/p][p]Our country is also currently being ravaged by one of the largest Typhoons in the world. It may take us a while to recover as previous Typhoon last year cut our internet, power, and water for a total of two weeks. As of writing this, our power currently has been cut due to the strong winds and heavy rain.[/p][p][/p][p]We apologize for the sudden change and we hope that you still support us during our new release date.[/p]

Post Next Fest demo fixes. Equipment Smithing rework - Relic Abyss v 0.4.72

[p]Hi gang! We made two updates the past week that fixes the broken equipment loot and have reworked the smithing system. During our Next Fest build, I've added more stats to the loot drops but used a 10x multiplier while testing. I've left it out during the Next Fest build that's why the equipment were so overpowered that it broke the game.[/p][p][/p][p]While we won't be deleting the obtained equipment, we might consider not carrying over the item saves to the EA release build. We'll try to give an special reward on release to compensate this. I'm terribly sorry![/p][p][/p][p]Here are the patch notes:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed overpowered loot drops from 10x multiplier to 1x[/p]
  • [p]Loot bonus stat amount are now chance based vs always getting 4 every time ie. on legendaries.[/p]
  • [p]Loot bonus stats are now percentage based only.[/p]
  • [p]Reworked Smithing system so that bonus stats from equipment from both items will carry over to the result item.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed equipment not displaying proper values. Previously on the UI it added extra values based off it's base value even if it's not the intended feature.[/p]
  • [p]Added UI support to 16:10 aspect[/p]
  • [p]Fixed: Chest opening not selecting open button when enabled[/p]
  • [p]Improved Results UI relic navigation.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed: Soft Lock when you're on the dialogue options and have selected the dialogue box.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed: Defeating Mostra on high difficulties crashes the game.[/p][p][/p]

Relic Abyss on October Next Fest! Play the new demo! + Brazilian Localization

[p]Wow! We're super late! But better late than never! How are you everyone? We have a couple of things we'd like to share to you all right now including a brand new demo that flips the whole core gameplay or Relic Abyss in it's head.[/p][p][/p][h2]Relic Abyss joins October Next Fest![/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p]It's already been a few days since it's started, but we'd like to officially announce that Relic Abyss is currently joining Next Fest! The reason why we're late is because we've been really busy making a new demo for you all to try out! Without further ado:[/p][p][/p][h2]Relic Abyss has evolved again! A new demo is now playable![/h2][p][/p][p]During our demo release, one of the most recurring feedback we had was that the game is too slow, 30 minute runs feel like a slog, the stats system kept stopping players from having fun, runs feel the same. We just want you all to know that we hear you and we have focused on fixing all of those problems with the new demo![/p][p][/p][h2]A new way to play! Random Rarity perks and Advancements![/h2][carousel][/carousel][p]We have decided to remove the Stats placement system to a more sleek Perks + Advancement systems. Perks are the usual stuff but improved! Pick from a randomized pool of Relics and Skills.[/p][p][/p][p]Advancements are a new thing! This is what will help you scale your character infinitely! Perk and advancements are randomly picked per run each advancement brings a new unique twist to the game! [/p][p]From Advancements that flip your magic and physical damages to ones that turn your pick up range into a damaging AoE. We have added over 55 unique advancements to choose from! It's up to you to mix and match or find combos to your hearts content.[/p][p][/p][p]Here's a totally normal looking run with the new demo![/p][h2]Runs are now 20 minutes long![/h2][p][/p][p]Based on multiple feedbacks, 30 minutes is a huge time sink to some players. And dying mid-run on minute 25 and you have to go through all of the level again is so un fun. That's why we're making the runs into a smaller but chunky sized experience.[/p][p]Yes, the game is now harder. But runs now feel more satisfying. We have rebalanced everything to make the action non-stop as it should be since you're trying to survive the Abyss![/p][p][/p][p]The Exp curve has also now been fixed to have a more satisfying curve overall.[/p][p][/p][p]The UI flow for the gameplay levels is now faster. Opening chests can now be done in 3 quick button presses! And other quality of life changes like the highly requested Auto-aim feature![/p][h2]More useful equipment![/h2][p][/p][p]Equipment now drop with random attributes based off it's rarity. And we have now removed class specific requirements for equipment! So you can now equip any equipment to anyone regardless of class! It has made the game super fun to play. We also have made a brand new trailer to accompany our announcement! But we've finally found them! All welcome our new publisher Mameshiba Games![/p][p][/p][p]They have given us funding, QA support, and marketing support. They are also the ones responsible for making the new Key Art and all of the new portrait changes in the game! So we know we're in good hands.[/p][p][/p][p]They will continue to support us throughout Early Access so be rest assured that we will do our best to produce the best product we can make![/p][p][/p][p]Mameshiba games will also be bringing Relic Abyss to all consoles in 2026![/p][p][/p][h2]We are joining October Next Fest![/h2][p][/p][p]Before releasing the game in Early Access, we want to make sure to join the Steam October Next Fest happening in October 14-21!
