Chef’s Diary. Part 9

Hi, chefs!

What is essential for any kitchen? Of course, it is utensils! So today I’ll show you what I use.

The most important chef’s tool is definitely a knife. You can’t cook anything if you can’t cut it. I already have two, and believe me - the more experienced a chef, the more knives they have!

Then I have a grater. It really helps with some dishes, but isn’t required for all. Still, it’s nice to keep one around!

And of course there is also a pan and a pot. I don’t cook only salads here, you know! And you need something to cook on: a stove. I have that too!

There’s also a variety of plates and sauce plates. Some are disposable, and once a dish is served they go in trash. Others can be used multiple times - but I need to wash them first. Luckily, for that I have a sink!
And that's it for today from your Royal Chef!

Chef’s Diary. Part 8

Hi, chefs!

Last time I explained a bit about seeds I grow in my garden. But there’s more! Beside the first seed pack, I have another one. It contains potato, asparagus, watercress, parsnip, swede and leeks!

The planting process is the same, but cooking… Dishes are much more complex with these ingredients. I need to boil, roast, stew, bake and so much more. My head is spinning!

And that's it for today from your Royal Chef!

Chef’s Diary. Part 7

Hi, chefs!

You already know that I farm for my ingredients, but what exactly is growing in my garden?

I started with growing what I call a “salad set”: cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, parsley, cabbages, carrots. You probably imagine where I get seeds. Yes, I buy them, and as usual, I get 3 plants in a pack of seeds. Then I plant them, they grow very fast (truly a wonderland!) and I get enough ingredients for 2 dishes!

What kinds of dishes? Well, mostly various salads, though lately I started making dishes with stewed cabbage!

And that's it for today from your Royal Chef!

Chef’s Diary. Part 6

Hi, chefs!

Today, I’ll tell you a bit about sauces! So, how do I get them?

I buy some!.. I wish I could say that, but it’s a bit more complicated. When buying sauces, I get a pack. There are 3 bottles in there, each filled with some kind of dressing. But what I find there is always random. For now there are 6 sauces I can possibly get: sunseed oil, lemon juice, mustard, mayonnaise, olive oil and vinegar.

That’s not all, however. Occasionally guests ask for “something special”, and then I need to figure out how to make them sauce of their choice. So I mix the sauces I buy to get more!

And that's it for today from your Royal Chef!
