PVP Framework & Long War Campaign

Hey!

I want to share the PVP status update with everyone.

As of today, PvP Framework is now available for public testing and development. Enthusiasts can now create a codebase utilizing this Framework and prepare for the competitive matches when they finally occur online.

PvP in IAH will be based on a tournament structure where winners of tournaments will earn prize money from the sponsors.

Note: PvP is primarily aimed at tech students and programmers, so if you are not a programmer, this is out of reach.

Of course, to play IAH, you don't need any programming experience, so you don't need to worry that IAH is this tech game that only focuses on programmers.

The second part of this news snippet is that I finally started working on campaign mode. Some of you tried Demo, and during the Demo, you tried Arcade Mode, which is this run-based roguelike that is hard and focuses on survival; typically, the run would last from 10 minutes to up to 80 minutes.

Campaign Mode, on the other hand, is structured around world domination, where your goal is to capture the world, and the runs there will last for up to 16 hours or longer. The good thing, however, is that if Arcade Mode were challenging for you, then Campaign Mode would be more accessible to play and understand because it would resemble traditional 4X much closer. and is more forgiving

The idea behind the campaign mode is quite simple: you have HQ, and you are trying to build up your cyber empire. The strategic map gameplay, which is Cyber Earth, will resemble a lot of advanced wars and your traditional 4X games, and battles will happen in real time using the battle engine that you tried in the Demo. You would try to build your bot armies and think strategically about where to advance, where to defend, or what to build.

I have a significant update for you all; some of these changes affect the general demo build, while others affect the main enthusiast EA build.



  • - NEW: Weapon Attachment System (Custom Scopes, Custom Barrels, Custom Ammo and Charms)
  • - NEW: Added bunch of new Masks.
  • - NEW: Added Bot Auras.
  • - NEW: Added Dyes. While not accessible to the player, the dye system allows recoloring of weapons and bot skins.
  • - NEW: Added eight new biomes that will appear randomly.
  • - NEW: Added new Weapon: Stinger Rocket Launcher.
  • - NEW: Billboards revamped and now tell a story of the game world.
  • - NEW: Added a bunch of decoratives to the game map to make it feel fresh and exciting.
  • - NEW: Added Mechanic Node that sells Armor Repair Kit; you can install this on liberated Nodes.
  • - SFX and ANIMATIONS: IMPROVED COMBAT VISUAL EFFECTS and SOUNDS and Weapon Animations.
  • - COMBAT: Added Evasion and added Accuracy and Evasion dropoff based on distance.
  • - NEW: PROCEDURAL BOT DESTRUCTION SYSTEM.
  • - NEW BOT STATS: ARMOR and ARMOR PENETRATION (ATK.AP).
  • - NEW MECHANIC: When ARMOR reaches zero, the Bot enters a staggered state and takes 50% more damage and can lose body parts in the process, further debuffing the bot.
  • - NEW TP CARD: ARMOR REPAIR KIT. Repairs Bot Armor.
  • - BALANCE: Units/Weapons with the Physical Tag have high Armor Penetration.
  • - BALANCE: Units with SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE Tags dictate how much Armor Units have.
  • - BALANCE: UZI Nerfed.
  • - OTHER: Swapping now removes old weapon; previously, it would consume equip slot.
  • - OTHER: When the battle begins, point of interest icons now vanish.

  • - NEW: Bot Equip System now supports decorative equip: Masks and Scarfs (About ten different variants for starters).

  • - NEW: First Node can now have on Money Slot [Bitcoin Silo, Ethereum Silo or a Job].
  • - UI: BP Value now also has a floating value that is shown when BP Value changes.

  • - Reasoning Behind this Update: Eventually, one day, PvP will be a reality, and programmers will need a way to stylize their compositions; in addition to that, in singleplayer players can now make their bots a bit cooler, and this decorative system opens a pathway to create named powerful enemies.
  • - Added BP Lock Support for UI Buttons. Virus Structure Invasion now requires 800 BP.
  • - BALANCE: Promotion Rank 3 drop rate reduced.

  • - Fixed Bug where Bot Discount was affecting weapon prices.
  • - Fixed Bug where Melee Weapon Animation could glitch.
  • - Fixed Bug where Treasure Bot would not die properly in some instances.
  • - Improved Tutorial stage when you are supposed to make a new bot.
  • - Added some missing localization data to nonenglish languages.
  • - When performing actions, the game now displays which turn it is.

Hey!

I am pushing forward and trying to perfect the singleplayer loop. Have fun! This content is available in the Demo version.

  • New: Added Arms Dealer Merchant, requires wanted stars.
  • New Weapon Equip: Red Plasma Rifle, Pistol, Desert Eagle, Shotgun, RPG-A7, M1 Rifle.
  • New Melee Weapon Equips: Knife, Hammer, Proto Blade, Red Proto Blade.
  • New Objective and Virus Nest Icons.
  • New Creep Station Revamp: It's called Grind Station, and you can interact with it to spawn Creeps and EXP Blocks to strengthen your Bots. Creeps no longer spawn on their own, and you can have a maximum of 4 creeps spawned at any given time.
  • New Bot: Small Creep Bot; for the first 19-20 actions, Small Creep Bots will spawn instead of Creep Bots.
  • Added 100 XP Blocks and 200 XP Blocks to the Grind Station.
  • UI: Added new Icons to the Grind Station, Bitoin Silo, and HQ Hack Targets.
  • UI: Main Menu Top Right Corner Updated -> Shows now your Personal best on how many turns you survived.
  • UI: Fixed alignment issue on Live MP as it was not centered correctly.
  • Balance: Operator Bot and Shockwave Bot did not have weapons on default; they have been buffed and now have WEAPON SWAP Tag, which allows you to equip weapons on them.
  • Small GPU Performance Improvement.
  • Virus Cookies will no longer spawn in player captured zone.
  • Named Bot Upgrade will now appear on Level 4 instead of Level 3.
  • Added some effects to various Weapon Equips for that OOMFF factor.
