CELEBRATING A DECADE OF SPEED IN SEASON 3

[p]2025 sees Haas F1 Team racing a landmark 10th consecutive season and we’re marking the occasion by dedicating Season 3 of F1® 25’s live service to them. That’s not all, we’ve also added F2™ 2025, made a second Driver Ratings update, and refreshed the look of each of the 10 F1® teams.

Get involved by loading up F1® 25 between September 17 and November 11.
[/p]
SEASON 3: A DECADE OF SPEED
[p]From the inclusion of the next generation of talent with the F2™ 2025 roster, to a pair of throwbacks to key moments in Haas’ ten-year history, there’s plenty to look forward to in Season 3.

To read the detailed Patch Notes, including details on how computer-controlled (AI) drivers have been improved with this update, head to the separate post linked here.
[/p]
Scenario Event: 2018 Austrian Grand Prix Challenge (Sep 17 - Oct 1)
[p]In the first event to celebrate Haas F1 Team’s 10th anniversary in Formula 1®, you’ll be tasked with an objective inspired by the team’s best ever result - 4th & 5th at 2018’s Austrian Grand Prix - with a modern grid.

Back then, a mega Qualifying on the Saturday saw Romain Grosjean finding himself on the third row of the grid starting in 6th, with teammate Kevin Magnussen just behind him in 8th. For this F1® 25 recreation though, your slightly tougher challenge is to take Oliver Bearman from 9th all the way to 4th.

Hit the target and not only will you unlock a new special edition livery to add to your collection in that of the Haas 2025 Canada livery but you’ll also earn yourself Oliver Bearman’s Silverstone and Monaco Grand Prix helmets too.

Don’t forget, special edition liveries work a little differently this year. Instead of the livery applying to the F1® World car, it’s now applied to the team it represents, letting you choose which livery to use every time you race as that team. Once you’ve got it, it’s yours to keep.

To take part in this challenge, head to F1® World and navigate to Play > Solo & Multiplayer Events.

[/p]
Scenario Event: Australia 2016 Race Replay (Oct 1 - Oct 15)
[p]The second Haas celebration event takes you back to where it all began, the 2016 Australian Grand Prix - Haas F1 Team’s first entry into the sport.

In what was a mixed result for each side of the Haas garage, coming away with points in their debut race was a remarkable achievement, as Grosjean ascended from a Qualifying position of 19th to take the chequered flag in 6th.

With a modern car, can you take Esteban Ocon from 10th to a podium? Do so and you’ll unlock Haas’ eye-catching 2025 Suzuka livery, Esteban’s accompanying race helmet, and the one he used at Miami.

Once unlocked, the livery can be selected when racing as Haas, with the helmets added to your inventory, equippable to your custom driver.  [/p]
One More Event: Details to Follow
[p]The third and final Haas celebration event is one you don’t want to miss. We’ll share more in the coming weeks, so be sure to follow our socials for more info.
[/p]
New Content: F2™ 2025
[p]Introducing the stars of the future, the 2025 roster of Formula 2™ teams and drivers have been added to the game, reflecting those racing in the real-world season.

With three events left, Invicta Racing’s Leonardo Fornaroli is leading the Championship, aiming for unprecedented back-to-back titles after winning in Formula 3™ last year. It’s far from over though, as Luke Browning’s numerous visits to the podium has kept him in the fight, taking his first Feature Race win last time out in Monza. With just 50 points separating Leonardo in first and Alex Dunne in fifth, there’s plenty to play for.

You’ll have to pick which of the 22 drivers and 11 teams to represent before recreating your choice of the full 14-location F2™ 2025 championship, incorporating Sprint and Feature races, or a Custom Championship. With 27 variations of 24 circuits at your disposal, you could choose to race up to 54 times, with circuits not typically used to having Formula 2™ cars hurtling around them.

Scroll to the right of the F1® World > Play screen to get started with these V6 turbo-charged machines. This is where you can also hone your skills in Time Trial, or take the race online in Multiplayer events.

If you’ve got a copy of F1® 25, enjoy F2™ 2025 at no extra cost once you’ve updated your game.[/p][p][/p]
New Content: ‘Sports Update’
[p]Throughout the season, F1® teams routinely tweak their cars to remain competitive with the rest of the field. As the saying goes: “If you’re not moving forward, you’re moving backwards”.

Season 3 aims to bring each of the 10 teams’ cars closer to their real-world counterparts based on some of these subtle changes, ranging from updated front wing shapes and side pods, to the addition of new team sponsors.

With focus shifting to the regulation changes coming in 2026, there have been fewer changes made. As such, this year’s ‘Sports Update’ is more subtle than in previous years but every team has had at least one adjustment.

[p][/p][p]These changes will be applied automatically once you update your copy of F1® 25.[/p][p][/p]
Driver Ratings Update: Belgium to Italy (Monza)
[p]We’ve been treated to a pretty unpredictable season thus far, with surprises up and down the grid. Whilst the Constructors’ title is looking like it’ll be wrapped up soon, the story of the Drivers’ title will no doubt keep twisting and turning into the last few races.

Analysing the latest batch of real-world results, from Belgium to Italy in Monza, we’re updating each of the Driver Ratings accordingly, available to apply to existing saves from 10am UTC on September 18.

To learn more about Driver Ratings and how they’re calculated, you can take a look at this article. Here are some of the headline changes:[/p][p][/p]
Max Verstappen - Champion Results
[p]Verstappen’s dominance the last few seasons has been the stuff of dreams for the Dutchman and whilst the first half of the 2025 season wouldn’t have been up to his high standards, he and his team have kept their heads down and eked out some remarkable performances that have emphasised his Champion mentality.

Whilst trailing both McLaren’s in the Drivers’ Championship by 63 and 94 points respectively, could his flawless victory in Monza be the start of a monumental comeback?

Max’s Overall rating has risen to 94, thanks to an Awareness boost of three and a single point Racecraft increase.[/p]
Carlos Sainz - Tough Mistakes
[p]Sainz’s F1® 25 Overall rating started as high as 90 when the game was released but following our first Ratings update and now this most recent one, he’s closer to the 80 mark.

Collisions with Gasly, Bearman, and Lawson, the latter resulting in a 10-second penalty, haven’t helped but hopefully his fortunes can turn around for the remaining few races.

Drops in Racecraft (-3), Awareness (-4), and Pace (-1) have all played their part in contributing to Carlos’ Overall rating dipping to 84.[/p][p][/p]
Gabriel Bortoleto - Remarkable Consistency
[p]Despite his championship winning season in F2™, Bortoleto may not have gambled on too much success given Sauber’s 10th place finish in 2024. Yet, his consistency over the last few races has been stand-out, with three out of four points-scoring finishes. This contribution has helped fuel the team’s resurgence, now just a dozen points off 5th place in the Constructors’.

With Ratings boosts in every stat - Experience (+3), Racecraft (+3), Awareness (+1), and Pace (+6) - Gabriel sees his Overall rating climb four points to 78.[/p][p][/p]
Fernando Alonso - Legend Finds Form
[p]The seemingly timeless Fernando Alonso has tackled a challenging season start at Aston Martin, with zero Championship points to speak of going into Spain. However, a flurry of points-scoring finishes including a 5th place in Hungary have got him off the mark in 2025. Whilst reliability issues forced him to retire in Monza, there’s no doubting his everlasting talent.

Despite a single point drop for Racecraft, Fernando has seen his Overall rating rise to 89 following improvements in Awareness (+1) and Pace (+2).

With Ratings boosts for rookies Isack Hadjar, Liam Lawson, and Oliver Bearman be sure to check out the full Driver Ratings breakdown here.[/p][p][/p]
Special Event: Free Play Weekend (Oct 16 - Oct 20)
[p]To coincide with the United States Grand Prix, we’re giving those of you who are yet to play F1® 25 a chance to check out the full game for free all race weekend on Steam.

Amongst the Free tier rewards, you’ll find a full Transmitter livery set (vehicle livery, race suit, gloves) and 2,500 PitCoin, whereas the VIP rewards include the Monnaie Paris 2 sponsor livery set, and 6,500 PitCoin.

v1.12 Patch Notes

Computer-Controlled Drivers (AI) Update
 • [p]AI behaviour has been updated so that they can brake later into and accelerate less effectively out of turns. In Dry conditions this will not affect overall lap time, but in the Wet they will be slightly slower[/p]
[p]Following extensive internal testing and feedback from the broad F1 25 community, this change refines and retunes some of the fundamental racing characteristics of computer-controlled drivers (AI).

You will now notice that AI race in a more flowing fashion, ensuring that they enter and exit corners closer to how a real-world driver would, whilst carrying a more appropriate amount of speed through corner apexes.

AI performance in Wet weather conditions has also been taken into consideration. The changes relating to acceleration in particular mean AI performance is now better aligned with how your car is expected to drive in the same track conditions. As a result, lap times for the AI in the Wet are slightly slower, differing on a track and difficulty level basis.
[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
We believe these refinements better balance the flow of racing between you and the AI. You may find it more difficult to dive-bomb them going into corners, or that the AI's out-of-corner acceleration isn't as strong as before. In Dry conditions, lap times for AI drivers are nearly identical to what they were pre-patch, however, these driving characteristics changes may encourage you to adjust your difficulty setting accordingly. Please continue to share your feedback following these changes - we look forward to hearing what you think.

 • [p]Fixed an issue in Two Player Career which could cause a crash when transitioning between seasons[/p]
[p][/p]
Peripherals (Wheels/Controllers)
• [p]Fixed an issue with Trueforce not working as intended on the Logitech G923 before unpausing or using a rewind[/p]
[p][/p]
Audio
• [p]Fixed an issue where Race Engineer messages could overlap when resuming from the pause menu[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where Race Engineer messages could overlap during a session[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where subtitles were not shown for some podium commentary lines[/p]
[p][/p]
Graphics
• [p]Fixed an issue where a small amount of light could be incorrectly seen within the cockpit[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue which was causing some trees at Suzuka to appear incorrect[/p]
[p][/p]
Miscellaneous
