The Road To Full Release & Christmas Update!
Merry Christmas everyone!
[p]We've been working on the game for nearly two years now and decided now that the game has been released for some time & we have received a lot of feedback from the community, we're able to share our vision for what the game's updates will be between now and full release![/p][p]Since the last update, we took a break for Thanksgiving. Then as soon as we got back to work everyone got very sick lol. Easy for the entire team to get sick when you're just 3 full-time developers & artists.[/p][p]This means the next major update will be in January instead of December. But we wanted to make sure to also release new content this month so we'll be releasing a bonus Christmas update before the end of the month. The update will likely release after Christmas day, but we'll try to finish working on it sooner![/p][p]So without further delay, here's the path to full release![/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p](Steam has a 5mb file size limit. The full resolution timeline is in the Discord.)[/p][p][/p]
The Road To Full Release!
[p]How we organize updates[/p][p]Since we first started making games we created what we call 'Update baskets'. Traditionally, roadmaps are an exact update order & exact list of changes.[/p][p]Instead, we prefer to come up with interesting update themes or categories. Themes like 'The castle update', 'The player leveling update', etc. Then, when we finish one update we have a basket of update ideas that we can pick from to work on next.[/p][p]There are several big benefits to this approach.[/p]
- [p]It lets us be more creative! Games that plan exact update checklists months or sometimes even years in-advance are betting their ideas were already perfect and prevent new ideas.[/p]
- [p]We can respond to feedback: Because there's no exact update order, the schedule can be flexible if certain updates seem more important than others.[/p]
- [p]Continue our original promise, from the game's release Q&A: "The game is already huge, especially for being a small team.", "We'll focus on making what already exists better and add on to it."[/p]
- [p]Leave players happy they bought the game & supported our team![/p]
