The Daedric War Celebration in-game event returns, running from 10AM EST on Thursday, November 20, until 10AM EST on Tuesday, December 2. To get started, pick up the introductory quest, titled “Guidance for Guides,” free in the in-game Crown Store or from Calinor by the Impresario’s tent outside major cities.

During this event, you’ll receive bonus rewards in the zones of Vvardenfell, Clockwork City, and Summerset—all the zones that make up the Daedric War saga.

Explore weird and wonderful realms

Glorious Daedric War Spoils coffers contain:

    • Crafting materials
    • Style items for motifs from the event zones
      • The full list of such motifs is Ashlander, Morag Tong, Telvanni, Redoran, Hlaalu, Ebonshadow, Clockwork Apostle, Welkynar, Pyandonean, Psijic, and Sapiarch.

Please note that some daily quests are gated behind progress in other quests within the zone:

Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 & Update 48 Now Live on PC/Mac

Battle your way into Eastern Solstice with Update 48 and Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2, now live on PC/Mac.

Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 is now live on PC/Mac and arrives for Xbox and PlayStation consoles November 12.

Continuing the saga that began with Part 1 in June, Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 sees you and your allies venture into the grim region of Eastern Solstice to finally put an end to the Worm Cult’s dread schemes for the besieged island.

Note that access to the new region and storyline requires the conclusion of the Battle for the Writhing Wall for your server—check out this event page for your server’s status.

This latest adventure is part of the 2025 Content Pass and 2025 Premium Edition, both available now. This release also features the Update 48 base-game patch, introducing a series of changes and fixes, including the addition of a brand-new event (more on that below)!
Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2
In Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2, you can continue your story as you venture into a new region of the island of Solstice. As mentioned above, access to the region and storyline requires the completion of the Battle for the Writhing Wall event on your server first.

Eastern Solstice

Discover new dangers and mysteries in Eastern Solstice, previously divided by the Writhing Wall, and explore a fractured, long-suffering land twisted and consumed by fragments of Coldharbour itself.

Venture into Eastern Solstice

In the second half of the Solstice zone, you can contend with new world bosses, explore new delves and a public dungeon, encounter the enigmatic local Stone-Nest Argonians, and fight to ouster the entrenched cultists.

A Saga’s Conclusion

The wall has fallen, and the Stirk Fellowship marches eastward! Help your allies strike at the heart of the cult’s operations on Solstice in the concluding questline of the Seasons of the Worm Cult saga.

Join old allies to finish the fight

Note that to unlock the full story questline, the Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 main quests and the “Crossing the Wall” story quest must be completed first.

Dread Rewards

As you delve deeper into Eastern Solstice and uncover its myriad dangers and mysteries, you’ll unlock a host of new rewards. These include new item sets, collectibles such as the Scythe Knight outfit style, the Eminent Slothcerer pet, and more.

Unlock these eminent rewards
Purchase Details & Requirements
Access to the Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 is included in two editions of the game, the 2025 Content Pass and 2025 Premium Edition.

Both editions are available for purchase now and feature a whole year’s worth of adventure, including:
  • Fallen Banners dungeon pack (now live)
  • Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 (now live)
  • Feast of Shadows dungeon pack (now live)
  • Access to the Writhing Wall event (now live)
  • Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2
  • A unique mount, pet, and memento

In addition to the above, the 2025 Premium Edition also includes access to the game and ALL of ESO’s previous Chapters. For a full breakdown of everything included in both editions, visit the Content Pass page.
Getting Started
Note that once Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 (and Update 48) are live, you won’t be able to access the new region and storyline until the Battle of the Writhing Wall one-time event is complete. Specifically, your server must have at least one clear of the Phase 3 Writhing Fortress dungeon before the way is open. Check the official page to see your server’s progress and do your part!

New dangers await within Eastern Solstice

Once access to Eastern Solstice and Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 is open, you can continue your adventures in the following ways:

Venture East

Once the wall has fallen, simply venture east to begin exploring the second half of the Solstice zone. The first wayshine you will encounter on your journey is the Grand Juncture Pass Wayshrine, but you will need to find and unlock it first!

Via the Seasons of the Worm Cult Main Quest

If you have completed the Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 main story quests and the “Crossing the Wall” story quest (accessible at the Stirk Fellowship camp in Solstice), you can continue your saga with the quest titled “The Worm Turns.”

Note that while the zone features a sequel story to the ESO base game, there are no level or story requirements for continuing your Seasons of the Worm Cult adventure. You can play with a new or existing character.
Update 48
Included with the Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 and Eastern Solstice, the Update 48 base-game patch introduces new fixes, balance changes, and additions to ESO. All current ESO players can enjoy the following features since they do not require any additional purchase.

Heart’s Week Event
Update 48 brings an all-new in-game event to Tamriel! During Hearts Week in February, the Belkarth festival grounds will now be home to the priest of Mara, Kuzam-jo. During the event period, Kuzam-jo will offer new quests, celebrating and spreading the word about Tamriel’s Heart’s Day holiday.

Share the love in February!

This new event will feature passive bonuses to Companion XP and rapport gains, plus feature their own reward boxes that can include pages of a new style. Most notably, the Heart’s Day reward boxes will have a chance to grant you gold-quality Companion jewelry. This event won’t go live until February 2026, so look out for more details then!

New Life Event Update
In addition to the brand-new event, Update 48 also breathes new life into one of ESO’s classic in-game celebrations. This December’s New Life Festival will feature eight additional daily quests, taking place all over Tamriel. This is in addition to a new style and player house rewards. Look out for more details closer to the start of the holiday season!

Leaderboard Updates
With Update 48, to create a more unified and fair experience, all the game’s leaderboards (except for those in Cyrodiil) are now account-based. As a result, you will only have one entry per leaderboard (your highest score). This change also removes class-specific leaderboards.

Combat Animation Memory Reduction

Update 48 also introduces some changes that help reduce the size of combat animations to reduce the impact on the game’s memory. This change should not have any noticeable impact on in-game visuals and zero impact on your ability to light attack weave or animation cancel.

For a complete list of everything included in the Update 48 base-game patch, check out the patch notes on our official forums. Don’t forget, these additions are free for all current ESO players.
The Battle Is Not Over
With your help, the Writhing Wall will fall, but the battle for Solstice will continue. Are you ready to venture into the second half of this mysterious island and put a stop to the Worm Cult’s horrifying schemes? Let us know via Bluesky, X (formerly Twitter)Instagram, and Facebook.

Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 and Update 48 are now live on PC/Mac (Eastern Solstice access pending the conclusion of the Battle for the Writhing Wall event) and arrive November 12 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Stalk Tamriel’s Horrors to Earn Spooky Rewards During the Witches Festival Event

Hunt monsters and you’ll unlock bonus in-game rewards during this year’s Witches Festival in-game event!
Witches Festival Returns!
Tamriel’s horrors are in for a scare with the return of the Witches Festival event, running from 10AM EDT on Thursday, October 23, until 10AM EST on Wednesday, November 5. Throughout this haunted holiday, you can claim cursed compensations (rewards), including Plunder Skulls, XP boosts, Event Tickets, and more! During the event, you will enjoy a passive 100% boost to XP gain across Tamriel. The Witchmother’s Whistle, the source of this bonus in years past, is no longer needed to benefit from the event’s additional XP, but the item itself (and the skeletal transformation it provides) is still available. To collect the whistle and enjoy a ladle or two of delectable hag’s brew, simply follow the steps listed below:
Open the Crown Store and acquire the free quest “The Witchmother's Bargain.”
    • You can also pick up this quest by speaking with the Crow Caller, who you’ll find outside of each Olyve's Brewery in Stonefalls, Glenumbra, or Auridon.
Complete the introductory quest to receive the Witchmother's Whistle tool.
    • You won’t need to acquire the Witchmother’s Whistle if you finished the quest in a previous year’s event.
Blow the whistle to summon the “Witchmother's Cauldron,” from which you can drink to polymorph yourself into a spooky scary skeleton.
    • You cannot summon the Cauldron in Cyrodiil.

Brew up some spooky fun this October!
Plunder Your Fears
During the Witches Festival, whenever you slay a boss monster, you’ll receive a Plunder Skull container alongside your usual spoils. Crack open one of these reward containers and you’ll have the chance to receive the following items:
    • A chance for one of the following:
      • Alchemy reagents
      • A festival-themed furnishing recipe
      • A festival-themed provisioning recipe
      • A complete festival-themed furnishing
      • A festival-themed sellable treasure
    • A chance for one of the following:
      • A Hollowjack style item
      • A Dremora style item
    • Worms, Crawlers, Guts, or Insect Parts

In addition, when you defeat a unique boss type for the first time each day, you’ll be rewarded with a special Dremora Plunder Skull instead, which offers the chance at one of the following in addition to above items:
    • A Witches Festival Writ
    • A Glenmoril Treasure Map
    • A Glenmoril armor outfit style page
    • A Crowborne Hunter outfit style page
    • NEW Hagmatron’s face marking runebox
    • NEW Hagmatron’s body marking runebox
    • NEW tradeable style page for the Wickerchain Soul outfit style

Both variations of Plunder Skulls will drop from arena bosses, incursion bosses (such as those from Dark Anchors, Harrowstorms, Volcanic Vents, etc.), delve bosses, final dungeon bosses, Trial bosses, public dungeon bosses, world bosses, and Tho’at Replicanum in the Infinite Archive.

Lay claim to various accursed treasures!
Bonus Bosses
Additional prizes await any stalwart warrior brave enough to confront Tamriel’s most dreaded monstrosities, the Crownborne Horrow and Lord Hollowjack.

The first nightmarish challenge, the Crowborne Horror, requires that you pick up the daily quest “Plucking the Crow” by speaking with Witchmother Taerma, located inside Olyve’s Brewery and at every Impresario tent found throughout Tamriel.

The first time you slay the Crowborne Horror and turn in the quest each day, you will receive a special Dremora Plunder Skull. This Plunder Skull has a very small chance to contain a super rare assortment of tradeable Witches Festival goodies in place of the regular Dremora Plunder Skull contents, including:
    • The FULL style book for the Dremora motif
    • A folio of ALL Glenmoril Treasure Maps
    • Runebox: Hagmatron’s face marking
    • Runebox: Hagmatron’s body marking
    • All of the Wickerchain Soul outfit style pages

Terrifying though the Crowborne Horror may be, that monstrosity pales in comparison to the true lord of horror, Lord Hollowjack! Dethrone the master of the macabre by acquiring the daily quest to challenge him from Priest Maxien, located inside Olyve’s Brewery. After you’ve completed this quest at least once on a given character, you can take it again on subsequent days and skip straight to the confrontation with Hollowjack.

    Fell Lord Hollowjack

Should you claim victory and complete the daily quest, you’ll be rewarded each day with a special Dremora Plunder Skull unique to Lord Hollowjack. Within this haunted container you may discover a rare jackpot similar to that from the Crowborne Horror. However, it also grants a unique achievement and trophy furnishing. You can sometimes acquire a matching collectible bust furnishing by looting Lord Hollowjack, too—good hunting!
Impresario & Event Tickets
During this year’s Witches Festival event, you can collect two Event Tickets from the first boss you defeat each day. This means you can earn up to 28 tickets by the end, but remember that you can hold only up to 12 Event Tickets at a time. Don’t let those tickets ghost you!

For this event, the Impresario will stock the following items:
    • All three Stonewisp of Truth and Law pet fragments
      • Axiomatic Runestones
      • Glyph of Law
      • Powdered Wisp Remains
    • The first two fragments of the Wildgrown Chapel of Julianos house

      • Heavy Philosophical Tomes

      • Vampiric Container, Yellow Liquid furnishing
    • Group Repair Kit
    • Companion Guild Commendations
    • Witches Grab Bag
      • This is purchasable only if you haven’t yet collected all the items contained within

The 2025 Witches Festival will also be your first chance to start collecting fragments for the final event morphing collectible of 2025, the Wildgrown Chapel of Julianos house!
