[p][/p][p]Time for a BIG update! This Update finally adds EVENT SPACES to the maps. This has been on the list for awhile and is sorta the last major design change that still needed to be added to the game, the rest is just a matter of adding the rest of the game's content![/p][p][/p][p]EVENTS are random characters that you can run into that give you various bonuses. You can do things like upgrade one of your Sculpling's stats, Boost the power of one Sculpling's move or make a nefarious deal with Lucifer himself...for the right price.[/p][p][/p][p]This update also changes the design to include AN ADDITIONAL SPACE before the boss/opponent on the map. This changes the game's design slightly and I'll be tweaking the balance accordingly in the coming weeks.[/p][p][/p][p]**IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO THE PATH CHANGES ANY PREVIOUS RUN YOU WERE CURRENTLY IN HAS BEEN OVERRIDDEN. [/p][p][/p][p]i'm really sorry about this. The save system we had set up just wouldn't be able to load with the path changes we made. This will be the only time this ever happens- no other future update will corrupt a run. Of course, any meta/hub world progress should be perfectly fine :)[/p][p]This update also adds a bunch of QOL changes:[/p]
  • [p]You can now "skip" opponent dialog you have previously run into(note- I only started keeping track of previous opponents on this update so you'll still have to run into each opponent once, but then after that you'll be able to skip that opponent's dialog in the future)[/p]
  • [p]"Inventory Full" Display- you will no longer be able to get more items once your backpack is full[/p]
  • [p]Fix 'Bear Trap' Item[/p]
[p][/p][p]I will be taking a short break from adding more Sculplings while we focus on tasks I think are more important/ more general. Namely:

  • [p]Getting the 3rd final boss, BEAST, into the game[/p]
  • [p]“Hall of Fame” - See the team(s) you beat each of the Big Five members with at the Hub World[/p]
  • [p]General UI Polish[/p]
  • [p]General SFX Polish[/p]
  • [p]More depth to some of the Sculplings already in the game(in the form of more balanced moves/ new abilities added to existing Sculplings)[/p]
  • [p]A couple more events[/p]
[p][/p][p]All this stuff will be the focus for the next couple weeks.[/p][p][/p][p]However, I do have all the art/most of the coding for some new Sculplings done, so when I do get back to adding some new ones in I will probably just add 2 new ones(each with 2 evolutions for a total of 6 new Sculplings) in at once :)[/p][p][/p][p]k ty xoxoxo[/p][p][/p][p]- Conor[/p]
