Sculplings 1.0 OUT NOW!!!

[p]After 3 years of sculpting, animating, and breaking clay creatures...it's finally here![/p][p][/p][p]Sculplings- a hand crafted monster tamer roguelike- is out now on Steam![/p][p][/p][p]Battle real clay monsters as your Journey to become the Sculplings Champion![/p][p][/p][p]Thank you again everyone for your support throughout development of this- We'll still be working[/p][p]on bug fixes and small polish in the coming weeks, but we're proud of the game that's there and think you guys will have a blast with the game(if you haven't played it already!)[/p][p]Can't wait to hear what you guys think![/p][p][/p]

Game release next week! (Probably)

[p]Hello everyone![/p][p][/p][p]Got a very exciting announcement: After 3 years of development, I think I'm finally going to release Sculplings next week! (Probably March 18th but maybe a day earlier tbd)[/p][p][/p][p]I feel like the game's at a place that I'm proud of and has the complete vision I originally set out to do 3 years ago. [/p][p][/p][p]I think there's more to add and more to fix, but to be honest I've been feeling pretty burnt out for the last couple months and don't really know where to take the project from here. I don't want it to be stuck in limbo so I figured it might finally just be time to release the game from Early Access.[/p][p][/p][p]I'm incredibly proud of the project and the support I've seen from you guys have honestly kept me going the last year. That said, it's been incredibly difficult to get attention on the game and I feel like I've tried everything and just can't seem to get any traction. This is fine and I mostly made the game because I'm passionate about the idea, but at a certain point I feel like I'm just banging my head against the wall trying to market the game and failing. I'm not sure, maybe roguelikes are just too crowded of a market, but I've been feeling very stressed trying to promote the game to get a bigger launch but at this point I'd rather just let it be finished and go from there. [/p][p][/p][p]I know there's more stuff you guys would like to see and that I'd honestly love to add- namely:[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Legendaries[/p]
  • [p]Endless Mode[/p]
  • [p]Secret Final Boss[/p]
  • [p]New unlockable environments with new Sculplings[/p]
  • [p]Controller Support[/p]
[p][/p][p]But I've been hitting a bit of a wall with development. I'd still love to add these things eventually if the launch goes well, but I don't think any of these things will really make-or-break the success of the game and after 3 years I just don't have the motivation right now to make it happen. [/p][p][/p][p]I know there's still bugs in the game and balance issues, and I will continue to chip away at those as reports come in but I think for now that's all I feel like I can promise.[/p][p][/p][p]I hope this is understandable- and again- thank you everyone for all the support you've shown for the project over the years. Just wanted to be real and keep you all updated on where I'm at with things :)[/p][p][/p]

Another Patch for v0.9.9

  • Fix Softlock after defeating Shogunaka(whoops)
  • Apple shop now has more items to choose from(and permanently has move restore option)
  • More move effects and polish

Patch note for new v0.9.9 patch

  • Basic Localization: You can now translate the in game dialog to several languages! (Button translations are coming soon!)
  • You can now use your code from Just Act Natural to unlock free bonus cosmetics in Sculplings!
  • A TON of balance changes- mostly late game- final evolutions are stronger and have a wider array of moves they can learn
  • A ton of bug fixes

[p]Hey guys![/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for all the new players and feedback! [/p][p][/p][p]I've been working really hard on marketing the game and in doing so realized it had been awhile since I played through the game fully to really test all the balance changes. So this update has a ton of little tweaks and fixes that you guys have reported and that I have found through my playthroughs. This will def be an ongoing thing but this update should fix all the bugs you guys have reported.[/p][p][/p][p]in addition I added:[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Type Change Items- there are now a plethora of active items you can you to change a target Sculpling's type[/p]
  • [p]PP restore redesign: most PP restore items now require you to choose a specific move to restore and not just restore all moves of a given Sculpling. I want this to play into strategically managing your resources [/p]
  • [p]Additional Settings in the Achievement Tent: There is now a panel for "additional Settings" in the achievement tent(still need to add some visual changes to reflect this) right now the only setting is changing your rival's name after you set them up, but I'll happily add more that you guys request![/p]
