2.3.0 Update

  • The map is now discovered during the game rather than starting out with it
  • Removed map button from bottom bar, added Outpost stats button to the bottom bar
  • Added more general Outpost information to the stats menu
  • Added map and info buttons to the Motorhome menu
  • Added back the fast-forward mode “hold”, with “toggle” as an option in the settings
  • Fade to black before the Outpost naming and modifier selection screens in the map
  • Added sound effect for when outsiders arrive at the Outpost
  • Changed rating of the “Tougher Zombies” modifier to -2 (from -1)
  • Hardcore difficulty now saves after every completed Outpost
  • Reduced Radio Tower level 2 requirement to Base level 6 (from 7)
  • The trader slot for a Motorhome part is now deactivated once it is purchased
  • Citizens dropping off resources already at maximum capacity create a new +0 indicator instead of adding to an existing non-zero indicator

  • Fixed gamepad menu button not closing the pause menu
  • Fixed an issue where farms could not be harvested
  • Fixed chosen difficulty mode not being applied in some cases
  • Fixed an issue where difficulty modifiers were occasionally duplicated
  • The assign-mode button in the job menu no longer gets stuck down when closing the menu before releasing the shift key shortcut
  • Fixed Trader sometimes offering only three deals
  • Removed some visual glitches on resource indicators



2.2.1 Patch (full game only)

  • Buffed Busier Forests (more deer) modifier to increase animal population to 20 (from 18)
  • Swapped Fragile Zombies (weaker zombies) modifier for the Beginning of the End (more outsiders) modifier in Easy difficulty
  • Reduced the trader price of the Motorhome parts (by 100 gold per part on average)
  • Increased the duration range of all weather events to 5-48h (from 3-48h)
  • Introduced an overriding duration range for droughts of 12-72h
  • Reduced volume and added random pitch variation to the citizen death sound effect to make it less likely to be annoying when played repeatedly
  • Buffed scavenger inventory size in late-game skills
  • Added Motorhome menu art and animations
  • Added modifier complete screen animations
  • Allowed interaction through the skill point gain animation

  • Fixed the tutorial tips toggle setting not being applied sometimes

  • Repair the motorhome to drive away and settle new Outposts!
  • Choose your route carefully through the new procedurally-generated map where each location will present you with a new challenge!
  • Collect stamps from challenges you complete with the new stamp book!
  • New “Regions Cleared” global leaderboard and 10 new achievements!
  • New dynamic combat music!

  • Increased game speed controls to x1, x5, and x10 (from x1, x3, x7.5)
  • Added ability to toggle between all speeds rather than holding down for max speed
  • Increased baseline probability of droughts
  • Increased the probability that lightning hits a building when it strikes
  • Increased sniper damage to 60 (from 50)
  • Barbed wire walls do 3x more damage to zombies
  • Added an indicator for barbed wire in the wall upgrade menu
  • Added ammo information to the turret upgrade menu
  • The Radio Tower no longer conducts every lightning strike, but its conductivity improves at higher levels
  • Added details on effects of the Radio Tower to its inspector menu
  • Reduced base level required for Radio Tower level 1 and 2
  • Changed cost of building Radio Tower to 50 scrap
  • Increased the build time of the Radio Tower to 60s (from 30s)
  • Tweaked zombie death animation
  • Improved shadows on in-world motorhome
  • Rain and snow particle effects are now affected less by increased game speed
  • Removed mist effect over the forest
  • Tweaked the time between ambient music tracks in-game
  • Added an option to change whether or not the game runs in the background

  • You can now choose whether to enable tutorial tips when creating a new save slot

  • Fixed “Reset Statistics” button not applying the reset until next time the current Outpost saves
  • Fixed imperfections on the moon artwork in the main menu
  • Fixed occasional issue with scrolling in the construction menu with gamepad
