Summer Update Preview
[p]Hello, dear players! [/p][p]We ran into a few unexpected life hiccups recently, that’s why our planned Summer Update is arriving a little later than anticipated. Sincerely apologize for the delay. Going forward, we’ll be more diligent with our scheduling and planning.[/p][p]In addition to the two Summer decks already on our roadmap, Yin‑Yang Mahjong and Scarlet Mahjong, each with their unique Artifacts and Yaku packs, we’ve also added two brand‑new bosses. In this dev‑blog‑style preview, let’s see what you can expect in the upcoming version:[/p][p][/p]
Yin‑Yang Mahjong
[p]Sequences are among the most common hands in Mahjong, and we’ve all experienced the “darkest moment” of missing that one tile to complete a Sequence. Our new Yin‑Yang deck draws inspiration from this scenario: a standard Sequence like 1‑2‑3 is called a “Yang Sequence,” and its counterpart, a jump Sequence like 1‑3‑5, is dubbed an “Yin Sequence.”[/p][p]By combining Yin and Yang Sequences across all suits, along with supporting Artifacts and Gadgets, this deck unlocks a whole new range of possibilities. Discarded Tiles can instantly transform into fresh new opportunities![/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Scarlet Mahjong
[p]Beyond expanding on core hands, we wanted to explore some high‑difficulty ways to play. Enter the expert‑level Scarlet Mahjong, which lets you start each run with the exclusive Artifact “Scarlet Core.” Like Yin‑Yang Mahjong, Scarlet centers around suits. But Scarlet Core dynamically shifts your primary suits and hands during play and levels up as the battle unfolds. With nearly ten unique Artifacts introduced, this deck will feel like opening a mystery box every run.[/p][p]
[/p]
New Bosses: Unfuriten & Uncomplete
[p]As an apology for the delay due to real‑life commitments, we’ve added two extra bosses: Unfuriten and Uncomplete. Their names hint at their mechanics: both specialize in “Suppressed” debuffs. When discarding a tile, Unfuriten suppresses all other tiles that are identical to the discarded one. Uncomplete, on the other hand, suppresses distinct Sets the first time they are played.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]The new version is near completion and currently undergoing final testing. For the exact release date and detailed patch notes, please stay tuned to future announcements. If you’re interested in participating in testing, please join our Discord and get in touch. We’d also love to hear your thoughts on this preview![/p][p][/p][p]The Aotenjo Development Team[/p]
