Publisher Sale & Autumn Update Preview - Workshop 1.0 & New Decks

Hello everyone!

We’re planning to release a new update next week. The long-awaited Workshop will finally make its debut! But since content driven by your creativity doesn’t quite feel like a “proper” update on its own, we’ve also pulled forward part of our roadmap and added two new decks: Gourd Mahjong and Imperial Edict Mahjong (originally “Divine Mahjong” on the roadmap), plus a brand-new Real-time Scoring system. This took us a bit more time than expected, and we truly appreciate your patience.

Also, starting September 15, we’ll be joining the XD Publisher Sale, with 20% OFF for three weeks until October 6, right through the Autumn Sale!
Workshop 1.0 Launch
The long-anticipated Workshop is finally here! You can customize tiles, patterns, artifacts, and more with Lua. We’ll also provide technical documentation to help you create mods, and you’re welcome to join our Discord to get access.

In short, the Workshop lets you freely expand upon the current gameplay or even build entirely new material sets or artifact packs to make your own custom rules. We can’t wait to see what kind of creations you’ll come up with. And don’t forget to share your great works with the community!
New Decks: Gourd Mahjong & Imperial Edict Mahjong
We’ve all had that frustrating moment: you are carefully crafting a build, only to have it crushed on a boss level that restricts suits or limits patterns. The Gourd Mahjong is here to let you turn the tables!

This deck starts with the exclusive artifact Purple Gold Gourd. Each time you defeat a boss, you can absorb its ability and make it your own. That means through the game, you can grow stronger and accumulate multiple boss abilities to unlock wild, unexpected combos. Combined with certain artifacts and patterns, this deck opens up countless crazy plays and unpredictable fun.

(Localization in Progress)

Ever felt the despair of a bad opening hand? As many players know, the very first play can set the tone for the entire game. A bad opening hand can really get in your mind. What if you could always start with a ready-made set?

That’s the core of the Imperial Edict Mahjong. Each round begins with a random set in your hand. This gives you more flexibility from the very start, making it easier for deckbuilding with a clear direction.
Real-time Scoring
Many players have told us that the scoring felt a bit “delayed,” especially when multiple artifacts had synergies. It wasn’t always clear how much each artifact was contributing.

This update brings a Real-time Scoring system. For example, in the combo of Cinnabar Pen and Red Wood, tiles containing red immediately trigger the dyeing and Fan multiplying effects when played. Overall, score changes will now be more immediate and intuitive, helping you adjust your strategy on the fly.

The new content is nearly complete and currently in the final QA stage. Please stay tuned for the exact update time and detailed patch notes in our next announcement. If you’d like to take part in testing, or if you have thoughts about this preview, feel free to join our official Discord and share with us!

July 31 Summer Update Preview - Dessert Tiles, Custom Tile Material Set

Hey everyone!

We’re planning to release an update next week, introducing several new features outlined in our original Roadmap. These include the new Dessert Tiles, the Custom Tile Material Set feature, and gamepad support, which means now you can lean back and enjoy the game.

We’ve preserved many commonly used operations for gamepad users, and added additional convenience features tailored for gamepad play. However, gamepad support took slightly more time than expected to debug.

The new content is now fully developed and undergoing final QA. We aim to release the update early next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please stay tuned for the exact update time and detailed patch notes in our upcoming announcements. This dev blog offers an early preview of the summer update.
New Tile Material: Dessert Tiles
This new tile material was inspired by earlier food-themed artifacts like Xiaolongbao, Tanghulu, and Bubble Tea, the kind of designs that make you hungry while playing😋.

Dessert Tiles include five common materials: Chocolate, Mille-feuille, Sugar Cube, Lollipop, and Cheese; and two epic materials: Popsicle and Jelly. Compared to other tile materials, Dessert Tiles offer significantly higher scoring multipliers.

However, with higher rewards come more risks. Dessert Tiles introduce a special Freshness mechanic: each tile has a Freshness value that decreases at the end of each round if the tile remains in the Played Hand. When Freshness reaches 0, the tile loses its material. After all, desserts melting in summer is only natural😄.
Custom Tile Material Set
Each tile material in the game has distinct characteristics, but our players have never been limited to just one strategy. With this update, we’re introducing the Custom Tile Material Set feature, allowing you to freely assemble a set from all unlocked materials— any 5 common materials and 2 epic materials, across different sets.

We’re looking forward to seeing your creative combinations after the update. Don’t forget to share your favorite builds with the community.

Additionally, we’ve also fixed several issues affecting gameplay.

If you have any feedback or suggestions, feel free to join our official Discord server and communicate with us directly.
