Here's an open world zombie survival game set in medieval.... Birmingham?

I can guarantee you that a zombie survival game called God Save Birmingham wasn't on your "2024 Video Game Announcements" bingo card. It takes place in 14th century England, and tasks you with fending off the rampant zombie hordes of a populace who've succumbed to a mysterious case of reanimation. Perhaps the cause is that there's no Maccies or TK Maxx at the local Bull Ring yet.

Dear Survivor,

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life in God Save Birmingham.

Thank you for finding our humble abode on Steam and joining us on our path to create a hardcore zombie survival sandbox set in medieval Birmingham, with real physics and beautiful graphics set in medieval Birmingham.

We've been working on the game for only five months so far–with just two of us in the first four months, and now a strong team of six. With a bigger team, we hope to ramp up our development to bring you the playable version of God Save Birmingham as soon as possible.

Our studio’s belief is that our game can stand out as one of the best in the genre by listening to and integrating feedback from our players, who also love the genre as we do. Rest assured that we always hold fast to this belief and plan to bring you betas to test, and then launch into Early Access to polish the game with you over multiple updates.

We can't wait to share what we're working on as we go, so WISHLIST and FOLLOW us to stay informed of new waves of the infestation.

We are pleased to announce that our newest title, God Save Birmingham, will be attending Gamescom (Booth: C079 located in Hall: 10.1), and PAX West (Booth: 317) this year. We are excited to share this momentous experience as we reveal our latest title to the world.

God Save Birmingham immerses you in a struggle for survival set in 14th-century Birmingham, England. While you may think staying alive is just about scavenging for food and water, you would be wrong. This challenging zombie survival game is filled with physics-based mechanics, which both help and hamper your efforts to survive the undead. Move, lift, and barricade using objects to help prolong your survival. Watch your step as you run from your former neighbors, or you might find yourself tripping as gravity is not your friend. Stab, kick, and stomp your way through Birmingham; perhaps you will prevail in this forsaken town.
