New Character: Murmillo

[p]Greetings, warriors! Today, we officially introduce the newest challenger to ascend the Stairway—a warrior clad in light armor with a steel mask:[/p][p]「Murmillo」[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Murmillo is inspired by ancient Roman infantry and Thracian gladiators. With a short blade in his right hand and a heavy shield in his left, his gameplay revolves entirely around the shield—whether in skill animations or character attributes, everything ties back to this core element.[/p][p][/p][p]The following description does not represent the final version.[/p][p][/p][p]Unique Mechanic: Combat Stance[/p][p]The Murmillo possesses two stances, each with different attributes and passive effects:[/p][p]Arena Stance — Default State[/p]
 • [p]Standard idle posture with normal Stamina Recovery[/p]
 • [p]Closer to the image of a real-world gladiator: longer attack range and strong rhythm, ideal for initiating pressure[/p]
 • [p]Switch: Enter Legion Stance by using specific skills or successfully executing a Counter Attack.[/p]
[p]Image from the web, for reference only[/p][p][/p][p]Legion Stance — Shielded State[/p]
 • [p]Enter a shielded posture with increased Poise, resembling a Roman infantryman in formation[/p]
 • [p]Special Ability: Cannot be knocked back in this stance. Additionally, each hit on an enemy restores a percentage of your own Poise[/p]
 • [p]Switch: When a skill ends or when you are Staggered (interrupted), you will revert to Arena Stance, waiting for the next opportunity.[/p]
[p]Image from the web, for reference only[/p][p][/p]

[p]Skill Block Style Design[/p][p]A blend of metal and leather with rugged textures, highlighting the battle-worn, heavy presence of a seasoned warrior.[/p]

[p]Sample Emblem Concepts[/p]
 • [p]Some Emblems allow the Murmillo to enter Legion Stance immediately at battle start, altering the combat rhythm.[/p]
 • [p]Others stop Poise recovery in Legion Stance, instead dealing extra Poise Damage to enemies—enabling a more aggressive fighting style even while shielded.[/p]
 • [p]Others enhance buffs when switching stances, maximizing damage through flexible stance transitions.[/p]

[p]The Murmillo's skill design is being developed alongside the previously mentioned skill system update. We hope this new character will bring a fresh and exciting experience to the game.[/p][p]The Murmillo is expected to enter community testing in early April. If you'd like to try out the character early, keep an eye out for community announcements.[/p][p]The Steam Spring Sale is now underway, with Wretch: Divine Ascent at a new historical low—15% off. If you're interested, this is the perfect time to join![/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]
