As 2026 approaches and the final week before the holidays arrives, we’d like to share a few updates with you all.[/p][p]First up—the fifth character of Worthless: Ascension, previously known as “Musketeer” and now officially named “Pirate,” will be released on January 7th![/p][p][/p][p]As planned, the new character will be released as DLC, which everyone can claim for free. Once claimed, you can immediately take on challenges with the new character.[/p][p]To better reflect the character’s identity, we took player feedback into account during testing and changed the name to “Pirate.” Aside from the name, all other design aspects remain unchanged.[/p][p]Secondly, the second round of testing for “Pirate” has begun. Exclusive emblems, skill icons, and animations have all been polished, so you can now experience a version much closer to the official release.[/p][p]We’ve already invited some registered players to join the test. Your ongoing feedback provides the best reference for continued adjustments to “Pirate”—thank you all for tirelessly reporting issues and sharing your thoughts.[/p][p]Finally, about the achievement system: it has already been uploaded to Steam, so you can browse the achievements, though the trigger mechanics are not yet implemented.[/p][p][/p][p]It will be fully activated in an upcoming version update. Development Progress Report

[p]Hey there, warriors! It's been a few days since we last updated you on what we've been up to.[/p][p]Last Friday's developer livestream was postponed because our lead designer caught a sudden cold due to the temperature drop. The stream is back this week, and we'll chat with you live about the recent development progress. The community tournament, the "Useful Cup," has also been pushed back by one day and will now be held on Friday afternoon.[/p][p]Currently, we're developing content for both the live version and a beta version. They are essentially the same project, but the beta version serves as a precursor to the live version, requiring some early feedback collection and development.[/p][p]Live Version
The current focus is on bug fixes and balance adjustments. As many in the community have pointed out, there are still plenty of lingering issues, and we are continuously working on resolving them.
Meanwhile, following the update roadmap, here are a few things in the works:[/p]
  1. [p]New Character: "The Musketeer." In production and being adjusted based on feedback from the beta. Barring any unexpected issues, it should be ready to meet you all in early January.[/p]
  2. [p]"Training Dummy" Feature. Many players have requested a training dummy or practice mode to test their builds (BDs). This will be implemented in an update soon. The development is mostly complete, but some bugs still need fixing.[/p]
  3. [p]Steam Achievement System. Achievements have been sorted into different categories and are basically ready. They will be implemented soon.[/p]
  4. [p]Steam Community Items. We've also been creating community items for the game, such as tradable cards, emoticons, backgrounds, and stickers. Here's a sneak peek at some of them.[/p][p][/p]
[p]Beta Version
The main progress there is letting test players experience The Musketeer character and making adjustments based on their feedback. It's essentially the testing ground for the upcoming live version content.
The beta test is ongoing, and a new update will be implemented in the coming days to increase the new character's completeness.[/p][p]Catch you all during this week's livestream![/p]
