The One About the Future of Metal Thunder
[p]Hey Commanders,
[/p][p]First off, I owe you an apology for going silent since May. Life hit me pretty hard with burnout, a divorce, and needing to spend some real time with my kids this summer while I got myself back on track. That old dev meme about “divorced my wife and kids to make this game” kinda came true for me in reverse.
[/p][p]Through all of this, seeing Metal Thunder grow bigger than I ever imagined has been a massive source of strength. The community, the support, the sheer love for the game, it’s kept me going, and I can’t thank you enough for sticking around.
[/p][p]Now to clear the air: Metal Thunder is not abandoned. I’m still here, I’m still working, and I’m not going anywhere. I can’t give you an exact timeline for the next update yet, but I want to make sure it feels right and not rushed. Being a solo dev naturally means things move slower, and right now I’m taking the time to let the creativity flow back naturally instead of forcing it. I’d rather deliver something polished and worth your time than push out a half-baked update.
A small sneak-peek of what is to come:
[/p][p]On a brighter note, over the summer I worked on a small side project with my son to keep sharp. It’s a fun little experiment, completely free-to-play, and will be releasing right after Steam Next Fest. I’ll share more soon in case you want to check it out.
[dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Thanks again for your patience and for being here with me on this journey. You’ve made Metal Thunder so much bigger than I ever dreamed, and I can’t wait to keep building it with you.[/p][p]See you in the skies ❤️
