Dungeons & Kingdoms Dev Update - New Beta Version 0.424

Closed Beta Testing Continues with Sandbox mode


This release focuses on getting the inventory UI and interaction systems cleaned up.



  • enable cursor when opening inventory, hide it when closing
  • Fix inventory pickup and carry not invoking callback in all cases
  • Pickup and carry now fails when forcing either left underarm or stomach bundle if the other already has items
  • Fix inventory UI not showing carry items from either hand
  • Fix inventory UI to handle showing bundle items (left underarm, left arm stomach bundle)
  • Fix error when swapping skinned mesh on humanoid rig
  • Fix hero armors not being categorized correctly which prevented inventory slot movement
  • Add 12 inventory UI slots that map to the 12 left arm bundle carry points, and wire up the functionality to use them via the inventory UI like other inventory slots
  • Move inventory UI body slots and combat/hand slots lower in the UI, and anchor them to the bottom center
  • Fix inventory UI slots not initializing properly
  • Fix left hand UI slot background image and boots foreground image linked to wrong objects
  • Fix issue with quest stage hints not tracking suppressed hints correctly
  • Adjust hand carry offset for small pouch (10001)
  • Add missing action stages for small pouch (10001) for pickup and drop item
  • Set small pouch (10001) to correct layer so it can be picked up
  • Fix inventory UI showing previously dropped items
  • Fix armor items not clearing correctly when being moved to a container through the inventory UI
  • Restore drop mode button in inventory UI
  • Fix right hand inventory UI slot not showing carry item
  • Left hand slot valid/invalid logic fixed for leftarm bundles when moving items

  • Add new product to default workplace job for wood club (1042)
  • Add tooltips to all diagnostic UI controls
  • Change sort order for diagnostic UI so tooltips show on top
  • Add new quest stages to hand craft, pickup, and holster a wooden mallet
  • Add new quest stage, dialogue branch, and objectives for activating and completing a build piece
  • Rearrange some quest dialogue and stages to fit the new stages
  • Quest stage objectives now support item counts, eg. Collect wood branch 0/2
  • Journal text generation now supports objectives with item counts

  • Add missing action stage for Build Plan Post to interact and activate build pieces by player

  • Add logs to starter resources on shoreline, increase number of stones
  • Change behaviour of product reservations when NPC are finding missing tools to allow more chances to succeed
  • Change behaviour of gatherer job to not force attachment point type when attempting pickup of missing tool
  • Change NPC behaviour for holster all items to run through character controller and new methods
  • Add task to holster all items after delivering resource to build piece
  • Fix character not returning to proper moveset after delivering resource to build piece
  • Fix missing header icons for open storage container (13001), branch bundle (10005)
  • Fix item name and description for Wood Club (1042)
  • Add new game setting for video target frame rate
  • Hide inventory UI slot popup when mouse over left hand slot when it represents bundle items

  • Build pieces 20058 and 20078 descriptions and thumbnails updated to differentiate between them
  • Build piece 20070 removed, 20235 tag changed to village from castle, name/description updated
  • Update build piece tools to allow piece exclusion when generating new lists

  • Changes to journal-use reinforcement during tutorial

  • Fix missing top snap points on foundation corner connectors 4004, 4005
  • Add snapping for floor hatch (30513) to snap to new snapping point for floor hatches on floor pieces (30515, 30510)
  • Fixed issue where non-snapping pieces could be placed on top of snap points offsetting them from the visible surface
  • Remove placeholder audio from cow prop (20046)
  • Update animated prop behaviour to snap to ground on reset cycle
  • Remove incorrect tooltip on Build Rotation Submit button

* NEW - show snap points for current build piece, can be toggled on/off in the builder controls panel
* NEW - changes to build piece rotation
* All build pieces have the same rotation default and alternate values (15 and 1) when not snapping
* When snapping build pieces may have different values for default and alternate rotation
* New ability to override the preview piece rotation - turn on the override toggle, use the slider or input field to change the rotation. When not in override mode the slider and input fields will show you the current rotation value applied.
* Change snapping label to "Use Snapping", add tooltip
* Ensure defaults are on for use snapping and show snap points
* Fix issues getting certain UI components on gameplay start
* Configure layers for main camera culling mask
