Cursor offset fix and Demo Update

[p]Hello,[/p][p][/p][p]We've updated the Demo with a likely fix for the bug with the mouse offset; and a fix for the inability to change resolution in some cases.[/p][p][/p][p]It's partially a blind fix - we still weren't able to reproduce it on our side consistently. We've added some code to account for the possible cases.[/p][p][/p][p]Please let us know if this fixed the issues for you guys. [/p][p][/p][p]Here's the full changelog:[/p][p][/p][p]Gameplay[/p]
  • [p]Added more dungeon modifiers;[/p]
  • [p]Exiting to desktop now doesn't abandon adventure but still resets that dungeon progress (same behavior as Alt+F4);[/p]
  • [p]Character creation now costs 500 Gold;[/p]
  • [p]Fountain experience transfer now costs resources and is only 90% efficient;[/p]
  • [p]General balancing for spells, mobs and modifiers;[/p]

  • [p]Updated logic for some settings in options and added new ones;[/p]

  • [p]Hopefully fixed broken resolution on first game start on some monitor set ups;[/p]

Development update #14

[p]Hey people,[/p][p]Alex 13 here.[/p][p][/p][p]Nothing big this time - the development continues at a steady pace. We've got good results from Ukrainian Games Festival - much better than expected.[/p][p][/p][p]We're focusing on finalizing the 9 Magic Schools spells - mechanics done, working on VFX.[/p][p]And continue adding new enemy types.[/p][p]Last map is almost done, and is already playable. [/p][p]Small polish here and there, as always.[/p][p][/p]

Changelog
[p]Gameplay:[/p]
  • [p]Added new mobs and faction mechanic (each dungeon will randomly choose its main faction and will be populated mostly with enemies from that faction);[/p]
  • [p]Enemies encounters in dungeons will now also change depending on difficulty - beware the increased amount of enemies on higher difficulties;[/p]
  • [p]Added hit chance penalty to all ranged attacks if target is within 5 meters. The closer the target the greater the penalty (up to 25%) [/p]
    • [p]But if attacker ATK is much greater than target DEF then this effect is not noticeable;[/p]
  • [p]Keep adding more spells (most of them are locked in Demo);[/p]
[p]UI:[/p]
  • [p]All equipment items now have proper unique icons drawn by our artist![/p]
  • [p]Gameplay effects icons on player characters will now collapse if there are too many. Hover mouse to view all;[/p]
  • [p]Missing a target while having low hit chance will give a warning now;[/p]
[p]Accessibility[/p]
  • [p]Added accessibility options section and multiple Color Vision Deficiency modes;[/p]

Factions and upcoming Demo update

Demo update
[p]First of all - the Demo will be updated next Friday. Expect more polish and QoL features, a bunch of new enemy types, and a Faction system.[/p][p][/p]
Factions
[p]All enemies in ToP are divided into Factions like Outlaws, Hordes, Undead etc. [/p][p]When the Dungeon is generated, the game now determines which Faction will primarily inhabit it. No more mixed salad of Orc Warlords (Hordes), Wizards (Outlaws) and Rats (Monsters). There will now be consistency with some randomness - so if it's an Undead-inhabited dungeon, expect lots of Undead with occasional representatives of other factions. [/p][p][/p][p]Faction enemies differ in their typical resistances - Undead, for example, have high resistance to Dark damage but no resistance at all to Light damage.[/p][p][/p][p]Since the game will now show the type of dungeon inhabitants, it's another decision making layer for you, adventurers. Is your party Dar magic heavy? Don't go fight undead! Full of Paladins and Clerics? Yes, you will crush them![/p][p][/p]
Other stuff
[p]The last map is coming into shape pretty well - and it's my favorite in terms of atmosphere. I love dark crypts, you know.[/p][p]A bunch of new high-level spells are implemented, so more tools to play with in the full game. [/p]
