  • The Challenge system was re-designed and expanded with more developer tools to make creating and tweaking challenges a little easier for me

[h3]New Features[/h3]
  • Added a system for challenges that do not rely on trackable stats
  • Added a framerate limit setting. Recent improvements in the game have cause my dev rig to go into overdrive and render 4-500 frames on the start menu, causing insane overheating.

[h3]Balance Changes[/h3]
  • Knight Base Knockback increased from 150% -> 200%
  • Knight base Shot Cooldown 0.9s->1.2s

[h3]UI/UX[/h3]
  • Further smoothing and polishing of the Historical Run Data screens
  • End of Run Window is Purple when you lose, gold when you win

[h3]Performance[/h3]
  • Massively reduced garbage collection by reducing the number of times we calculate the players current stats. In testing this made the game go from 40fps to 125fps

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed Equipment Tooltips in the End of Run display being strangely spaced and placed
  • Fixed coins triggering on-hit effects multiple times per hit

[h3]Known Issues[/h3]
  • A lot of things were changed in this patch, and your challenges will be broken. Reset your save file in the settings on the main menu to fix this.

  • Stats have been split into three types (Offensive/Defensive/Utility) for use in organization of UI elements and helping the player understand how they should be thinking about the stat.
  • Player Defense is now called Armor

[h3]Graphics[/h3]
  • The "near death" red now fades to black on death to reduce eye strain

[h3]UI/UX[/h3]
  • Adjusted font weights in Perk Displays and Equipment Tooltips
  • Positive Stat changes are now gold, negative are now purple. This should be visible to most type of color vision variants
  • End of Run screen now displays any challenges you earned during your run
  • Unified the Historical Run data and End of Run screen gameobjects under one prefab
  • Class menu layout redesigned with the new stat lists
  • Redesigned the pause menu using the new stat lists

  • Fixed an exploit where Baubles were getting caught in a nav-node loop in the corners of the board closest to the player

[h3]Known Issues[/h3]
  • The deadzone is still noticable when baubles bottom halves are close enough but top halves are not

  • The game should now award any challenge awards that the player may be missing at launch
  • Adjusted the way that close range coins are handled to smooth out a "dead zone" where player coins would either fly over a bauble entirely, or hit the ground far too soon

  • Improved the Patch Note format and creation. You guys probably won't notice much of a change but it's a big deal for me.
  • Added a slight camera sway when moving left and right, with a toggle in the settings

  • All Meta Perks had their costs adjusted, since no one can play I'm not going to really break down how. They didn't have any balance before and now they have "some" balance

  • Equipment menu slimmed up because it was bothering me
  • Patch Notes Screen now only loads the five (5) most recent patches, and has a button at the bottom to load another 5 if the user feels inclined
  • All stat values have had their tooltips adjusted
  • Base stats are now always either a flat number, a %, or time
  • Multiplier values are no longer displayed as % increases, to avoid confusion with base stats that are displayed as %s

  • Player character no longer gets stuck in the "charging shot" animation
  • Fixed getting stuck leveling up too many times
  • Fixed an issue where viewing historical run data would display un-initialized tooltips

  • Invisible improvements to the EffectStack system in prep for future additions

  • Added a not-so-secret button to the main menu, showing off something new
  • There is now a small delay before you can click on a selection when leveling up or opening a treasure chest
  • Improved the clock with sun/moon/setting/rising icons

  • The Goliath Shot now flips the coin the opposite direction, which should make it a little less unpredictable

  • Fixed item tooltips in the equipment menu not updating when you equip an item
  • Fixed Boss HP bars not updating properly after you kill one or more bosses
  • Moved Boss HP Bar farther down to prevent clipping with the timer
